So if thats the case whats next, Dave Duncan becomes the pitching coach then. Pack up the rapsodo's and the trackman and sell it on ebay then.
-
Hinch could also just get another job where he doesnt have a grandpa holding his hand and impeding his decisions for a year.
-
That sounds very data driven.
-
I also liked Ken Griffey Jr. He was one of the greatest of all time. Not the version we got however.
-
Hiring Larussa would ruin this team. What next Dave Duncan to replace Cooper.

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?

I agree. Its an exciting time. To me the cooper move says more about the direction than Renteria. -

i am hopeful that the new regime will bring more analytics and instrumentation like pitch design using technology instead of using your eyes. I would like to see a uniform direction on a "white sox" way being instituted across the entire landscape of the organization. We have the talent. Lets get the most of of them. I want someone who is seasoned and knows how to do this at the MLB level. Not anyone learning on the job. -
Giving a near championship ready team to a first time manager just because he is a fan favorite would be a failure by Hahn. I loved Ventura the player. I didn't love Ventura the manager. There is too much at stake here to experiment.

They are going to chalk up Mazara in 2020 as a covid post recovery. They are going to roll with him and engel as a platoon in RF. They are not spending money this offseason.

Guess the pitcher we add in the offseason

I think their big name offseason pickup is kopech. They will hope that Cease and Dunning and Reylo get better. And they will roll with it. -
Ricky on using Rodon “When we bring these guys in, we don't go in there expecting that they're going to fail. We go in there expecting that they can work. And obviously Los is really good. His fastball was good, his slider was really good. And they ended up getting him, and that's it." Wat?
-
Then he shouldnt of started. They should of went to someone else then. We all knew it was a bullpen game. But I dont think anyone had a clue that it was a 15 pitches and 2 guys on and its over type of start. Thats madness.
-
So in the first inning. You pull your starter? After 15 pitches. Notice the other team didnt do that. Which one was better setup later in the game to win it.

Same could be said for Gio and Detwiller before the season started. Yet here we are. -

What I would like 1.) Bauer 2.) Stroman What we will get...hope that all of the kids take a step forward. A promise to commit to the process and hopefully Kopech comes and is strong. Then your backup plans are Alex Wood Homer Bailey -

These statements could be transposed to any failure with one of our teams. Maybe we should of kept Manuel. Manuel wasn't hitting or pitching. Neither did Bevington. -

It's been like this for a bit longer than 2 games. -

Really you think having a real starting pitcher in here wouldnt of made a difference. First of all Rodon is watching this game from his house if thats the case. -

Money should be no object to sign Bauer. We need to outbid everyone. And stop penciling in Dunning, Kopech or whatever. I will take the next couple of years of Bauer in his current form than potential. They can all fight for the remaining spots. Trade whomever doesnt make the cut and get better. -

Well what was the plan there. All year long he was a one inning guy. So it what shortened you one guy. It was bad because of how effective he was but you had plenty of arms in the pen. The big issue was pulling Dunning so quickly. if you had to do that then he should of never have started. -

Ricky got scared in the fist that he was going to get second guessed. After watching our guys hit in the first inning. Playing like the first inning is the end was the death knell. We have two pitchers in the bullpen coming off injury. We have a bunch of rookies. When he started mixing and matching so early as well you knew Rodon was coming in. Rodon proved that the inning he had in Cleveland was what he is right now. A pitcher with terrible control. -

Also in the offseason our aquisitions. The whitesox have got to stop signing the aged veteran that they believe has one more golden year in the tank. This has been a strategy forever. We keep missing with this. There were plenty of bat options that they could of had to not be EE. Ryu was there for the taking as well. -

The injuries in this game will give him a built in excuse.
