  1. Just when you thought you had seen everything in the playbook of the magic 8 ball. Then you see this. 3-2 in the 8th inning and we dont have anyone to pitch to Frank but a contact pitcher who has been strugglign with giving up the dong. Nice job Ozzie. You can quit anyday now.
  2. If Ozzie puts in bmac to pitch to Thomas then he is on drugs.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:08 PM) Crede has nothing behind his swings. That back injury is definitely effecting his swing. Thats not a back injury there. Its the same swing that Konerko has, that Uribe has, that Anderson or any of our right handed hitters have on the low and away pitch. So either is a f***ing coincidence or our hitting coach came up with a neat way to cheat on pitches and it has been exploited.
  4. QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:05 PM) Fathom, this is not meant to be an argument, just a thought. To me, the main reason we are in this situation right now is not because of the inconsistent play of our LF or CF. The main reason is our the disappointment of our STARTING PITCHERS. If all of them pitch like they did last year, we would be leading the division too far in the first half for the Tigers or the Twins to catch up with us. With 16 games left, we are really pressing in trying to catch up with them, and in turn, I believe, that truly messes up our hitting. Let's hope our hitting will turn around QUICKLY. Yeah and it has nothing to do with the fact that since the allstar break our offense has been basically in hibernation. if our offense showed at least some play we would be leading this division. 13th ranked in Runs. The 14 million dollar Marlins who play in a very large monsterous pitchers park have scored more runs that our juggernaut of a team. Its real simple. Pitch this team low and away and it wets the bed. Its been that way for the last 6 years. Its why we suck in the 2nd half. Our offense last year that was horrible in the 2nd half, we are on just about that pace for runs scored.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:03 PM) Ah...the PK shoulder shrug. the other pull monkey is up.
  6. Everyone of our hitters are 0-2. Maybe if we stop trying to park every single pitch we might have a chance to center up Johan tonight.
  7. At some point if we get the lead, can we please take prancer out of LF and put Anderson into CF. Watching flyballs go into the OF makes me wan to vomit. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:01 PM) As McLaughlin would say…. “WRONG” Even with a sure thing like Marte in 05 against a lefty sometimes Cotts can get a lefty out.
  8. 2 strikes and Cotts is at a disadvantage because he is a one pitch pitcher.
  9. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 10:58 PM) his pitch count is up there though... Thats something you will never see with our team. We never battle with 2 strikes. Its either dong or death with 2 strikes.
  10. The appendage aware manager just put in a lefty who cant get lefties out and has control problems. I figure the end result will be a walk, a hit batsman or a dong.
  11. Another team that takes the ball into right and up the middle when they get to 2 strikes. Instead of our jokers swinging for the fences with 2 strikes and King, popping it up or rolling it over.
  12. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 10:51 PM) i thought getting Thome and sending Frank out was a great move i was wrong Well remember the formula that everyone forgets. If Thomas is here, he isnt playing for 500k, and Konerko is an Angel. Thome+Konerko is better than Thomas.
  13. Nice jump there Gooch. What do you have lead in your shoes.
  14. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 10:47 PM) I think the bad ump call there changed the whole AB. Too bad. That and he is trying to jack a dong.
  15. Thanks Thome for showing up tonight. Nice f***ing approach tonight Keep it up.
  16. Nice sac fly. Time for Thome to use that wooden stick thingy he brings up to the plate to drive in the next run.
  17. Dye is up with the bases loaded. Lets go Mr MVP, crush the ball into one of the gaps and let it roll to the wall.
  18. Prancer goes the other way. 2 hits in a row. Greg must be getting a drink in the clubhouse right now.
  19. Uribe back up the middle for our 2nd hit. Prancer up. And Prancer with the most pathetic bunt attempt I have seen in a while.
  20. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 10:35 PM) Twins and Santana losing to the Indians and Carmona is like finding a $100 bill walking down the street. Sox losing with Garland on the mound on the same night is like giving that $100 bill to a hobo so he can buy some liquor. Actually the 2nd part is more like giving the hobo the $100 to piss all over you.
  21. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 10:28 PM) Except for the last start, where he crapped his pants, Esteban has been on a roll for like 9 games. Isn't it possible that he is just pitching well... and the white sox aren't terrible pieces of crap? I guess Runnynose Hernadez was on a roll, so was Julian Tavarez, the AAA Royals stiff that pitched and got hurt in his next start, the boston lefty with 2 last names that had a 6 ERA going into our game. Pretty much anyone that would lob soft crap up there and go low and away. Our hitters cannot adjust to a pattern that has been going on since the ASB. Again we get 1-2 against a hitter, and then nibbles decides to f*** around and then get the count full. Then he has to groove one in. Pound in, and throw strikes. This team will not beat you if you make them swing the bats early. If you let them get into hitting counts they will raise your pitch count and beat you oppo.
  22. Nibbles Garland is back. Contact pitchers cannot get into hitters counts and survive. Especially against high OBP teams. Chavez is up. If you go in, go high and in.
