Hopefully our next hitting coach can teach our team line drive swings and how to protect with 2 strikes. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 11:17 PM) Jerry Owens time We take a power hitting threat out of a tie game? Well at least Gload gets to play. -

QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 11:15 PM) I don't know about you guys, but one of the things that pisses me off the most about Ozzie is how he thinks lefties can automatically get lefties out, even though both are lefties are probably more effect vs. righties. Damaso Marte in 2005 says hi. -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 11:10 PM) That you Herm? Its how he has managed all year long. Its Cotts and Riske in tie games or when we are dog down. Only if you need a strikeout and its 2 outs does he bring in a strikeout pitcher like Thornton. McDougal would be in if we were up in that frame. -

QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 11:10 PM) Why are Podsednik and Mackowiak still in the OF? Why isn't Anderson and Sweeney in? Makes too much sense, I guess. Because that would confuse our manager. Pods is on the WS DVD and they are not. So Ozzie goes with his bhoys. -

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 11:08 PM) I mean jesus, if he's not hurt, then f***. Hes not hurt. Ozzie is going with plan B if we are tied or down, and plan A when we are up. That how he is managing this pen right now. -

You have 17 games left in your season, you are down 1.5 to one and 3 to another, and they both won. You then say well its a tie game, lets put in the guy who spent the last 6 months on the DL because his back hurt so freaking much, he couldnt throw back to back days. Makes sense. -

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 11:05 PM) McDougal has gotta be hurt. Nope, someone is going with his gut. You put way too much logic behind your reasoning. -

QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 11:03 PM) Why wasn't Anderson in to play LF and CF? He would have had that ball from both positions. Simultaneously. When you get out of high school you will realize that this attempt at humor is not funny. -

10 in a row retired. Offense sleeping again. Dont worry Thome and pull monkey up next inning. I see 7 pitch inning in our future. -

Prancer sees all of one pitch and is out. Thank God he is still starting. He ignites this offense. -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 10:53 PM) Is Ozzie saving his "horses" for April? why should this shock anyone. Last year Gload was hitting a million down in AAA, we needed a backup 1st baseman and DH when Everett went down and we needed to give Kong a rest. So instead of using Gload, ozzie states he cant play RF and decides to put a midget at 1st base, who isnt a first baseman. 3 errors later, he still has him at first. He then has him DH. A guy who is hitting what .158 at the time, was DHing for us. Instead of option A which was sitting down in the minors. Ozzie makes decisions based on his magic 8 ball. He needs a new one. -

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 10:52 PM) I'm starting to wonder if Ozzie even knows who his 2 best relievers are. This morning Coop said McCarthy will no longer be pitching in pressure situations and yet they refuse to do the same with the even s***tier Cotts. I think someone mixed up the scouting report DVD with the WS 2005 DVD and Ozzie is getting confused -

Now if Buerhle had this approach against the sox he would be sitting on a 1 hitter right now. The problem is most teams actually react to a pitcher pitching them a certain way. Cotts and Hermy are warming up. Someone needs to let ozzie know that this isnt 2005. -

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 10:47 PM) This team seriously just kills me more and more every day. We NEED this game. Well have a chat with the team, that seems to have one inning where we hit what is given, nobody is selfish. Then we revert back into pull and lift land trying to make sportscenter. -

Prancer gets thrown out at third. Why in the name of f***ing god are we running when the count is 1-0 and you have your best RBI man at the plate. We just f***ed ourselves out of that inning. The hit Dye had would of sent prancer to third, and we would of had 1st and 3rd and 2 outs for Thome. Oddly he can hit a home run or two. But thank God Prancer ran.
