  1. AJ puts down a sign, and Javy shakes him off so he can throw another fastball.
  2. QUOTE(G&T @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) I'd still have Vazquez out there instead of Cotts or Riske. He needs to get through this inning. I would rather have Southpaw or some of the Chevy Pride girls out there than Cotts.
  3. QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 02:52 PM) It is because there are so many righties and so few lefties in the world. Righties have to know how to hit righties, lefties knowing how to hit lefties isn't really a must. But as a righty you learn to stay striding towards the pitching plate when you recoginze the curve, too many lefties bail like the ball is going to hit them.
  4. Nibbles is back on the mound, pitching away from contact.
  5. One thing I have never understood is how stupid some lefties look when they face a lefty. Righties face righties and dont look stupid when they throw them a curve. But lefties can look like 12 year olds seeing a curve for the first time. f***ing bailing and stepping out. How stupid.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 02:34 PM) I didn't see that...thanks for the observation. I dont know why Javy shakes off our catchers so much. He gets some idea of what he wants to throw, and then shakes until he throws it. Which a lot of times is some moving breaking pitch with 3-2. Someone should tell Javy, just go up there and throw dont think meat it hurts the team.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) C.C. has only thrown 63 pitches, as our offense has mailed it in after the first two batters. A 3-2 slider to the #9 hitter with Sizemore on deck is just stupid, especially as they hadn't proven they could hit his fastball so far today. Fathom who knows what was originally called, Javy shakes off AJ more than any of our pitchers. He shook off 3 signs before he threw that slider.
  8. We need to hire a sports psychologist to have a chat with Mr. Javy on his fear of all things 6th inning. Riske and Cotts up, yuck.
  9. QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) Come on Javy, stop being such a f***ing women and pitch. Get the damn ground ball already and get out of this inning. He is too busy nibbling around the strikezone, stacking more dynamite for the implosion.
  10. Rollers and Hangers, thats what he throws that he calls curveballs after the 5th inning.
  11. First 5 innings, Cy Young. Then nibbles the mouse.
  12. I was at tonights game. My thoughts are I loved how our offense approached it tonight. Hitting the ball where it was pitched If it was center in or middle of the plate they pulled it and sent it out, if it was away they hit it to right center. Very sweet looking O tonight. Uribes homer left the park in like a blink of an eye. It was one of fastest I have seen jump out in a long time. The Navy was represented well, they were doing chants towards the end of the game. Good win. No matter how the bullpen imploded. If we play well tomorrow we could be 2 1/2 out of first.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 11:15 PM) Haha, I'm 100% willing to let it go. I don't enjoy arguments about Ozzie's managing at all. You might be ready to let it go, but members of the Ozzie fan club aren't going to let go as you can see.'
  14. Jenks needs to get healthy and get right. We have 2 other options that can closer out the 9th until his hip gets better. I am wondering when they will give him a cortisone shot. Thats the next step, so he can pitch free and clear. Freddy pitched good enough to get the win. Thornton saved our ass. AJ won the game.
  15. Finally a f***ing walkoff for us. Nice...... oíche mhaith Indians. Go hifreann leat! adh na nÉireannach!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 10:45 PM) Jenks is our f***ing closer, if you are not aware! Do you think Torres will pull Mariano after two men got on base when his team is leading by two runs? Have some decency to acknowledge this is all on Jenks! If Mariano had a bad hip, and then they flew him to New York for an MRI, and then he was throwing 88 and his cutter wasnt moving and he gave up 2 or 3 doubles, sure I think even Torre would pull him. Or probably wouldnt pitch him until he was 100%.
  17. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 10:41 PM) Kalapse name one situation in baseball, one manager who puts in the closer in a 2 run game and doesn't let him finish or blow it in the process. My god. You are forgetting one part of your little simulation. Lets add the fact that they packed him up, put him on a plane and send him home, then they put him in a machine to see why his hip hurts because its obviously is bothering him. You dont give a guy an MRI unless you think something might not be kosher.
  18. QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 10:40 PM) Come on, you were the one who wanted Jenks to pitch in the 9th. Don't give me that crap! If a player is healthy and he is a closer sure. Does he look healthy to you. Why did they put him on a plane and send him home. You know they have MRI machines in Boston.
  19. When players have an injury that requires them to leave the team, board a plane fly a thousand or so miles away, it seems like its pretty serious enough.
  20. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 10:36 PM) How can you possibly blame Ozzie for that?? It's ALL on Jenks The fatman was flown back to Chicago in the middle of a series because he had a bad hip. Ozzie sees how many doubles before he takes him out. You have to be blind not to see what is going on.
  21. Retarded. Jenks has an MRI on his hip. And we give him a long leash. Dumb. Ozzie sitting in the dugout with his thumb up his ass.
  22. Well Anderson misplayed that one. So he will be on the very far end of the bench.
