  1. QUOTE(Dan @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) no thats not what im saying. hell i am the President, Chairman and CEO of Ross Gload Enterprises and Fan Club, but it just seems to me that all of the sudden people are showing an awful lot of interest inn G-LOAD hence my bandwagon comment. I am for anything but Prancer out in LF. Whether thats Gload, Sweeney, or Mack or Ozuna. Anything but Prancer.
  2. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:25 PM) Pods changes the game when he gets on base. That's the way I see it. Those other guys dont. Pods cant beat out hits in the hole. Last year, he beats out anything hit in the hole to the left side in the hole. Pods the distruptor, doesnt exist anymore. he doesnt steal, he doesnt get on, he doesnt do anything.
  3. QUOTE(Dan @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) i smell people trying to hop on the Ross Gload bandwagon train and i don't like it! What dod you suggest Dan. .224BA, and a .287OBP. in the 2nd half. He is getting worse. He doesnt get on, he doesnt steal, he doesnt play good D, and he has a bad arm. He is what he is, and that is not good. Starting him everyday is pretty much not a good idea.
  4. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:22 PM) Cmon. Ross Gload is not better than Pods. Pods ain't producing s***. Is that Oz's fault?? 2nd half stats. I am sorry, Scott is hitting .224 with a .287 OBP. Ross is hitting .333 with a .394 OBP . What does Pods do better again. Besides Marry.
  5. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:20 PM) Like what, Fathom? Crede pops up to end the game. If he hits a liner in the rc gap, we win the game. Like leaving Jose in too long? Jose is a starter on a big league team. He has to go more than 4 innings and errors contributed to Jose's s***tiness too. Playing Pods? Pods is the best we got in that option. Oz is playing the personnel KW gives him. You guys act like he's playing Pods over A-Rod or Soriano. Pods is batitng .230 with a .280 OBP in the 2nd half. If you say thats our best, I suggest you check the stats out a bit more.
  6. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:19 PM) I understand, but the difference was in 2005, we did not rely on the home run. Getting Thome was supposed to add power to the lineup, but still keep the speed. This team was supposed to be the 2000-04 hitting, plus the 2005 pitching. To me, it's just been a better version of the 2000-04 teams. If we had this kind of pitching last year, to go w/ the offense we had last year, we'd be prolly 20 games worse than we are. Yes we did rely on the home run. Do you remember our offense last year. It was terrible. We won a bunch of games because our pitching was tits. The only reason our O did anything in the playoffs was because guys stopped lifting and pulling. Paulie was a line drive machine in the playoffs. How many of his homers were gap to gap dongs. Instead of pull shots only.
  7. For a manager who preaches pitching and defense. Why in the name of god does Cintron and Mack start a game. Especially together.
  8. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:14 PM) f***!! Whatever happened to not swinging for the fences!!?? They need to change that grinder ball rule that says never underestimate the power of power. It's got the power to destroy what the grinder ball was built on: The power of no power Walker doesnt preach grinder ball. 200 home runs for the last 7 years. He and our organization have preached lift and pull. We fired previous hitting instructors, and then promoted from within where we preach the same mentality. It pretty much explains why every single hitter comes up with the same exact swing, and same exact hole low and away. Watch how every team pitches us. What how the catcher sets up. Its pretty much low and away all the time. This is the same exact offensive slump we see every single year.
  9. Joe trys to win it with one swing, just like all of our batters. And we lose. Nice f***ing offensive approach. I have had enough with Walker. Same thing year in and year out. Same pull only mentality. Different players.
  10. And a big swing for Crede. Nice contact swing kid. Keep aiming for the fountain.
  11. Well that was low and away. Paulie pulls it, only gets the end of the bat on it, and flys out. Now if he stayed back on it, and hit it back up the middle or to right, maybe it would of went farther. But if you cant pull it, you cant hit it.
  12. Paulie takes ball one. Paulie has a new stance at the plate. Its not the one he started out with this evening.
  13. Kong with a bases loaded situation. I wonder if Kong can lean into one again.
  14. Now its time for the Royals to bring in the ball boy. His name is Timmy and he is 15, but he is left handed and learned how to bounce a slider in the dirt. Thome doesnt have a chance.
  15. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 09:58 PM) Why can't Pods run through first base just once. His speed thingy is broken. Its been broken since about July 20th of last year.
  16. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 09:57 PM) Our zero tool left fielder ladies and gentlemen. Thank God Ozzie pinch hit for Anderson, Pods never needs a pinch hitter. He is a lefty, leftys are a step closer to 1st.
  17. And so much for Prancer being fast, ball hit dead in the hole, and Teahan has him by 3 steps. Nice blazing speed.
  18. QUOTE(SoxnGiants @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 09:55 PM) Last chance... get us started PODS. Ugh, that's not very re-assuring to type. Anderson gets pinch hit for like he is the plague. But prancer gets to go up because god was lucky enough to bless him with a left hand as his predominant arm. Thank god our Manager is so observant that Lefties can only hit righties, and righties can only hit lefties.
  19. That was a tard swing. Dip your shoulder and put it in the air. Can we hire someone who teaches a line drive swing. This dip and pull crap is dumb.
  20. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 09:48 PM) Crede could have easily tied up this game if he didnt try to hit the ball to Mars. A nice level swing would have been good enough. Alex swings at ball 2 Carlos Lee used to do that. we need a single, and then he swings for the fence and Ks or popsup. But thankfull we got rid of him and Jose and their bat at bats in RISP situations.
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 09:46 PM) Kinda funny that everyone who has gone up there with a good plan this inning has reached, and the two guys who were trying to hit homers made outs. Well come on, if you dont lift and pull how do you score.
  22. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 09:44 PM) Ross comes through again! Start him somewhere every day! But he isnt a fast guy in the Juan Pierre mold, so he cant play LF. We need a noodle armed guy who cant hit, but is fast.
  23. Ozzie must hate Anderson. Prancer will get to hit in this situation, but our guy hititng 300 over the last few months is incapable to come up here. This is a sign that Ozzie will start Mack in CF in the playoffs. If he cant trust him here against the Royals, what happens in a big game in October.
