  1. Hello this is Whitesox tech support how can we help you. Hi my name is Ozzie Guillen. I got the upgrade of Cotts to Cotts 2.1 2006 and this version is buggy. He cant seem to get lefties out. Well Mr. Guillen it looks like Cotts 2.1 had a virus in the code, the marte virus as its known. You need to remove that software from your system, and do a clean install of bmac 2.0. Bmac 2.0 can also help if any of your starters are infected with the marte virus.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:32 PM) Well done Javy! There's not a chance in hell he should start the 6th inning. 109 pitches, come on. If he starts the next inning then I dont know.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) This should be Vazquez's last batter of the game. He needs to go 5 so he can be eligible for the win. Ozzie wants his starters to be winners.
  4. Vaz should be told, your job is not to think. Your job is to read the sign, execute the pitch, and hit the target. If they hit the ball a million miles and you hit the target, its on AJ or the coaching staff.
  5. Something in our minor league development needs to change. Every prospect we bring up has the same exact swing flaw. The low and away pitch. Rowand had it, Anderson has it, Borchard had it, Crede had it forever. They all had long looping swings that could be exposed with the low pitch away. And look at Fields, his K rate tells me that pretty much he will be the same way when he comes up. Can we get someone to teach a line drive swing in the minors, and then adjust to the power stroke once they figure out how to make consistant contact. The only one that I think will not be overmatched when he comes up is Sweeney.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:14 PM) For everyone wanting Cotts, I offer this suggestion. Against a guy with a great eye like Giambi, Cotts is either a walk, HBP, or homer waiting to happen. Cotts got possessed by the Marte demon.
  7. Good lord that was a train wreck that didnt happen. AJ had to basically convince him to throw a pitch there. He gives the sign, makes 2 pist pumps to get him to throw it, Javy then throws it. Maybe Javy should stop thinking and just hit the target.
  8. Thats pitching away from contact. He knows his pitch count, and his marbles have shrunk with the game on the line. So just keep walking people. This is dumb.
  9. Why for the love of god when you have a Brandon McCarthy in the bullpen do you have Cotts up first. Is it to plunk Giambi with the bases loaded again. Cotts hasnt been good in a while. I dont get this. Eject the 2005 WS dvd Ozzie, he isnt the same guy.
  10. A nice clean 5 walk game for Javy. 84 pitches in 3 2/3s innings. And he keeps shaking off the catcher. Not on one pitch, but on a bunch. Javy you have walked 5, stop shaking everyone off, just hit the target.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 09:59 PM) This guy just doesn't have "it". Actually most men have 2 of them.
  12. We have to lead the league in taken third strikes. What happened to the old adage of protecting the plate, especially with RISP and 2 outs.
  13. QUOTE(Friend of Nordhagen @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 09:50 PM) Pierz flies out. Surprisingly, he throws his bat. The pattended bat slam, suicide shrug after the popout is sad. AJ and Kong love to beat the bat up after it fails.
  14. AJ at least got to see a lot of pitches there. Yuck.
  15. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 09:40 PM) yeah but its much more annoying at the cell....oh yeah did she find the toy in her cracker jacks....hey fatty Put this in a Yankee Hat, and a Yankee shirt, spill cheese sauce down her shirt, have all sorts of crumbs all over, and I pretty much have an identical likeness to the screaming female Yankee Fan.
  16. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 09:39 PM) him or that guy at tropicana field he was kinda funny though The Tampa Bay heckler is just some guy banging on the tin sign, screaming all game long. He is over rated as annoying.
  17. After listening to the Yankee fans banter in the background, who remembers the most annoying behind the plate fan this year, and I am not talking about the Red Sox manatee couple. Remember Mr. Wave the red shirt the whole game at Comerica. Just a guy, standing up, swinging a red shirt the whole game.
  18. QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 09:17 PM) The defense has given the Yanks two extra outs in two innings. Add to that the fact that Javy had to get K's to get out of the innings without runs scoring, that'll increase the pitch count quickly. Javy's done a great job pitching around the shoddy defense. Javy has done a great job pitching over mistakes tonight. Our D needs to make plays.
  19. Getting hit in the wrists hurts like a b****.
  20. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 09:13 PM) wtf is his pitch count? 45 through 2. Yikes.
  21. The overly loud yankee fans are almost as bad as the 19 inning game against the Red Sox when the RedSox manatee couple was behind the plate.
  22. The whiney loud Yankee fans behind the plate are annoying. Especially the loud old lady.
