  1. So much for the bullspiff that Ozzie and Coop told us about taking this guy out before the 6th. Experimenting is what you do in Tuscon, not when we are in the middle of a pennant race.
  2. Well there is the usual Javy Vazquez 5 runs by 6 innings that we are used to seeing. Nice job Cotts.
  3. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) Oh hell. That's a routine flyball. It doesn't reflect on Javy's pitching ability at all. Have you seen the stats on 3rd time through the lineup.
  4. Lets see if Cotts can man up and get out of this.
  5. Well just like clockwork. Thanks Ozzie, your banner management of pitchers is amazing. How come everyone on earth can see this, but Ozzie.
  6. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:22 PM) For fish's sake Ozzie... Get him out of here. I bet you the pen isnt even up. As I post this Neal cotts starts to get loose. We will get the same quotes tomorrow. He was dealing, we dont know what happened.
  7. Now Mr. 6th inning just plunked someone. How many fishing times does it have to happen before ozzie figures it out.
  8. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:06 PM) There ya go Gooch, nice approach Two oppo hits back to back. Thanks Sam for pulling Chen. Please put in a hard throwing righty how will try and go in on Kong.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:05 PM) Swing the freaking bat! It's called protect the plate, even if it's close. I thought "speed" guys are supposed to make a lot of contact. His wife is hot though. thats about the only positive I can give.
  10. How about some of our hitters try and get a good approach against the crappy lefty with the lucky 7 ERA. Maybe they all can go into the wayback machine and remembers the long times agos of yesterday. You had a pitcher going low and away, and you went with hit and devestated him. I hope the god the Yankees dont get a Mark Redman type. We may never get a hit in the game.
  11. A soft tossing lefty with a 7 ERA and we are still messing around here. Must be a bunch of lucky SOBs hitting that .339BAA against him.
  12. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:53 PM) Rondell White replaced in the 3rd inning in the Metrodome. Injury? no one would trade for him, so its either injury or he pissed of gardy.
  13. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:52 PM) Nice pick by Gload there on a inexcusibly bad throw by Crede. Crede should buy Paulie a few dinners for the amount of errors he has scooped out of the dirt from a wierd throw.
  14. The approach we had yesterday would work like a charm today. However a soft tossing lefty is too much of a distraction.
  15. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) would you rather the score not be tied? I would rather have a consistant approach when there are men at 1st and 3rd with one or no outs. The home runs are nice and all, but having him constantly pull the ball to the 3rd baseman for the 6-4-3 DP in big inning siutations are a bit more frustrating that the gravy from the solo homer he gives us. Hit it when men are on.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) BTW...the 3rd time through the order is lurking for Vazquez. Hide the women and children. Dont worry, Ozzie in the pregame was talking about Vaz going to the 7th. Maybe Ozzies gut told him something, or he needs tums.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:41 PM) Who the hell is "drooling over Fields in left"? If Young was still with this organization, no doubt in my mind he would be up by now replacing Podsednik. Its Brady Clark or bust. Brady Clark in LF would be a lot nicer than Mr. Dergan and his bum legs.
  18. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:41 PM) With the Braves flopping this week, there is a good chance Jones could be dealt. He'd look real good in a White Sox uniform. I would rather have Brady Clark and more pitching.
  19. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:38 PM) Pk looks like he is not seeing the ball very well right now He can still hit homers.
  20. All I have to say is thank god Timo is no longer on this team. Imagine how he would be plugged in here and there in strange places. I figure that if Timo was here, Ozzie would of named him starting CF.
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:35 PM) This is the first game where it's really burned us though, so I'll give Ozzie the benefit of the doubt. You are forgetting the Boston series when a ball that Mack should of caught landed between he and Cintron and that lead to a rally. This lineup sucks today.
  22. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:33 PM) If a Brady Clark type player is not on this team come tomorrow, I'm going to be pissed. There's 1 major league CF on the roster and 1 major League LF, oddly enough the LF is Mackowiak. Kalapse, dont you love how the baseball gods work. No matter what you do, when you start a player out of position the ball finds him.
