AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!

As I said when Thorton was traded for. If this guy with the heavy fastball from the left side can be fixed by Coop, our pen will be pretty good at the end of games. If they are throwing strikes. Hitting Thorton 95+ from the left side, then facing Bobby with his 98+ with his hook is a hard thing to beat. -
QUOTE(Steff @ May 22, 2006 -> 01:55 PM) http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12876396/ The letter A man wrote a letter hoping for forgiveness. Instead, he ended up giving his accuser a second chance to find justice CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. - Liz Seccuro has struggled hard to heal. 21 years ago, she says a stranger suddenly and violently attacked her. And now, just as suddenly, he’s back. This fall, a letter arrived at her home out of the blue. In October 1984, "I harmed you”, it read. “I stand prepared...to begin to set right the wrong I’ve done.” *** The details are at the link above, but the quick version of it is that this happeded at college back in the 80's when colleges use to sweep that kinda stuff under the rug so he gets away with it. After 20 years he writes her a letter telling her that he is sorry for the pain he casued her and that he spent most of the time after the incident as a raging alcoholic and recently came to recovery and while working the steps decided to "come clean". he writes her a letter, she responds and then several emails are exchanged between the two. He avoids using the word "rape", but finally does say it in a letter. Then she takes the letter to a police officer who tells her that there is no statute of limitation on any felony charge in the Common Wealth of Virgina. He gets arrested and charged by the grad jury. will go to trial sometime next year, he could get up to 25yrs. This was on dateline or one of those shows last week. What a sad story. A few years after the attack, the moron rapist shows up at the victims dorm delivering a pizza and she answers the door. I hope they nail his nuts to the door and he gets the max. What a piece of s*** this guy is.

Before every game, Farmer asks Uribe what are you going to do. Juan proudly says, I am going to hit a homer. He guarentees a homer every game. Then he spends the next 4ABS swinging at anything relatively near the plate. Sometimes almost bounced in with large full cuts almost like its the home run derby. Its lovely when you have a guy who is wild as hell, walking the world and you are trying to rally and you see a few guys down Uribe is coming up. He strolls to the plate, and on the first pitch pops it up or GIDP to kill the threat. In the second half of last year he hit decent. He closed his stance off, and kept on the ball. Now he has completely forgot that and is back to his Tasmanian Devil impersonation. Juan needs to stop thinking he is Tejada, and start to hit the ball like a major leaguer. For all the crap Anderson has got on this board, Juan has been in the league for a while. He should hit a lot better than this. BTW Jason called his in ST that Cintron would be our starting SS by the allstar break. I think he will be right.

We are not playing all that good. So lets stop acting like we are playing our brains out and we cant shake those pesky tigers. Its just the opposite. They are playing at a silly pace, and we are playing blah. Our pitchers need to be aggresive in the strikezone. Keep the ball down and put the hitter away. Our hitters need to keep hitting to all fields, and putting pressure on the opposition. Ozzie needs to stop running just to say we are running. This is not the 2005 WhiteSox where we need to scratch, claw, and fight for every single run. Our offense can bang with the best of them. He also needs to figure out the pitching matchups. Needs to know when to pull a pitcher, and when to leave a pitcher in. Boone Logan also needs to depart this team. The thing that scares me is that as long as he is int a uni, Ozzie may use him. Send him down, bring Tracey up.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 19, 2006 -> 08:34 AM) Too bad the Catholic Church didn't show this much anger when their priests were groping little kids. Amen to that. If a book and a movie can turn your faith, then maybe you didnt have enough faith to begin with. They are clinging to the wrong argument. This movie wont stop catholics from being catholics. What will do that is the continuing coverup of sexual abuse in the church. Kick out all the perverts, then allow priests to marry. More men would be attracted to this lifestyle if they could still marry. Oddly before the 8th century priests could marry.

White Sox versus that other team in town

If Droopy gets his 2 inches off the plate like he usually does, then hopefully Mark will get the same. -
QUOTE(sircaffey @ May 18, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) By that time, Juan and Brian should be settled in. If they aren't, they might not be starting, at least Brian that is. Anderson is a rookie. Uribe is a vet. There is no reason that he should be hitting as s***ty as he has. Everyday Farmer asks him what is he going to do today, and Uribe says Profundo. Which Farmer says is hit a homer. Everyday he tells Farmer he is going to hit a homer, and then he corkscrews himself into the dirt in the batters box trying to make his prediction come true. Maybe someone should tell Uribe to get a f***ing hit and stop trying to be Tejada.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 18, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) You know a great way to get better bullpen performances? That's right, get better starting pitching. I'm sure J. Jones will be up in a crucial situation...he always is vs the Sox. Well they should of rocked Hendrickson tonight. Our offense can be shut down by the Kazmirs of Tampa. But f***ing Seth McClung and Hendrickson. They better get their head out of their ass this weekend. Because they face Maddux who can spot it on the outside corner with the best of them, a lefty(and you know how we have been pounding lefties) and Zambrano this weekend. I say the pitching we face this weekend outside of Hill is better than the starters we saw in the series loss to Tampa.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 18, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) We have Boone Logan and Agustin Montero in our bullpen currently. There's no way I see Nelson being worse than those two. Boone better be the f*** off the team and in some minor league area before we square off this weekend. Remember if he is in the pen, Ozzie may use him.

The cop was wearing a ghillie suit. That was a bit over the top. I am sure they brought that out for the cameras. The guy who wanted the kid to do stuff to the cat, stripping down buck naked and making a beeline for the door was a riot. Hey what are you doing, put a towel on. I love the aggresive tackle that they did on every pervert that came out of the house. The 5 man take down was sweet.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 17, 2006 -> 08:03 PM) Inning over. I'm sick of these f***ing stupid f***ing steals. Ozzie wont send Thome or Konerko if they get a leadoff hit. However everyone else is going to run, because Ozzie forgets our offense is 3rd in all of baseball in run scored. Yet we play like we are the KC Royals on O. Ozzie this isnt last year. Our team can hit this year. 283 BA and over 200 runs scored. We dont need to dink and dunk to scratch out a run. Seriously if you think this s*** is crazy, wait until he gets into an NL park. He will double and triple switch us to death. -
