  1. QUOTE(SoxRock05 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:54 PM) If you guys think I really think this logan guy is good then you are all mistaken....He is not good, but as a coach and as a ballclub you need to give your prospects the chance to pitch in the big's. Maybe he shouldnt be here but it was a decision that was made and we saw how it worked out. A good pitching prospect is not something you stumble across on the side of the road. You need to see how they compete in the big's because it is so much different from the minors. So now we saw...and now we let him refine his work lower in the orginization, but at least he got some work done up here and he can see what he needs to work on. But in my opinion I don't think he is good, but I think he can improve immensly, and I don't think Ozzie is going to move him down just yet. Lets look at the positives. Hitters could pull a muscle overswinging at the meatball that Logan puts over the plate, when he throws something over the plate. A large amount of injuries could happen as after Logan is announced the entire opposing team starts a fight at the batrack. Our defense has amazing web gems to catch rocket after rocket off the bat of Logan opponents.
  2. Is Matt Thorton dead or something. He hasnt been in a game in forever. We dont pitch him in close games, we dont pitch him in blowouts. Has he been sitting to close to Ross.
  3. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:44 PM) Last Boone Logan supporter please turn the lights off on your way out. Well played
  4. QUOTE(SoxRock05 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:35 PM) What I mean is that he is better than any of you can ever do...A, AA, AAA or majors.....let these kids pitch in MLB games...your not going to have an experienced pitching staff forever if you dont let these guys learn and play with the big boys. Maybe we should of just let Felix Diaz\Arnie Munoz\crap on a stick go out and get destroyed night after night for a season or two. We just gave up on him too early. Our staff has plenty of experience. We have a rook that needs to throw strikes, if he walks a lot of people and gives up a lot of runs he will be sent down. We are trying to win another championship here. The Marlins can afford to let a guy learn on the job as a pitcher.
  5. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:32 PM) You'll never guess who just came out to pitch for the Astros in the 14th inning of their game. Too bad they aren't playing the Padres. Crotch face
  6. QUOTE(SoxRock05 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:30 PM) Hey let the kid pitch...he only let up 2 runs.....Like Hawk said this is the time to bring him in to get experience....of course hes scared, but hes doing better than any of you can do. I like him... How scared should you be when you are in a blowout game burning some innings up. If this makes him tinkle on the mound, then what happens when we need him to face Hafner.....oh wait.
  7. Boone here is your souvenir World Champions Hat and pin set.
  8. QUOTE(Misplaced_Sox @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:56 PM) This should have been the plan yesterday Starters = poundage 3 or more starters sitting = 2005 regular season offense circa August
  9. How the f*** did Sexton not go around on that. Come on blue make the call.
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:32 PM) Unfortunately we didn't get lucky onj the pitching matchups for Sea. I hate facing Moyer and Washburn, and am not too excited about Piniero. Woudn't have minded seeing Felix and Gil Meche. Still gotta score some runs and win nonetheless. Hopefully they matchup better in LAA. We should rock Pinero and Washburn. Wash tries to pound our righties in that plays to our strength. Pinero is not that good. Moyer gives us fits though.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) I think it took me three years to realize this, but why in the world would anyone throw Uribe inside? All you have to do is throw it outside to him, and he's going to bail on about 75 pct of the pitches, and he'll make himself an easy out. Uribes front foot is flying open again. Hopefully they nail that f***er down. When he hits he keeps the front foot quiet, when he flys open he hits like s***.
  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:24 PM) Yay, Wendlstedt behind the plate. Crede better watch out.
  13. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:16 PM) TOUGH pitch by Joel there, Dye out on strikes... That was setup by 2 fastballs inside. Then he forgot to look away.
  14. Hopefully Ozzie trots the regulars out today. Against Pinero AJ .320BA 2 dongs .920OPS Urbe .364BA 1 dong .970OPS Crede ,375BA .819OPS Gooch .286BA Dye has a .241BA but has 2 dongs and 4 doubles Konerko has a .250 BA Thome has a .200BA
  15. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:40 PM) Damn Seattle Air took away Thome's blast in the 10th. Hopefully tomorrow Ozzie actually plays the starters. I have a sick feeling that Ozzie is going to use this series to give all of his starters a day off. Tomorrow I bet. Cintron for Gooch Mack for Anderson Gload for Konerko Then on Wednesday he can go with Widger for AJ Ozuna for Pods Cintron for Uribe.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:32 PM) Yep, our pitchers are all going to lose games like that. I think McCarthy would have bee more effective throwing a few more fastballs tonight. If you start just throwing 77 mph pitches on every batter, that's going to make it a lot easier to adjust to the pitch. bmac is not shaking our catchers off. He is just looking for the sign and going with it. He is just concentrating on hitting spots.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:19 PM) Maybe, maybe not. Career numbers say otherwise. THey sure didn't do all that much when they were in there. But either way, Ozzie doesn't manage for just one game. He'll continue to do this for as long as he manages. We haven't had that many different lineups this year. For the entire homestand it was pretty much the same guys. When he plays mass subs we lose, pretty much that is how it was last year, and that is pretty much how it has gone this year. When he plays the regulars our offense rocks and we look a lot better. In the Garland Dept. When you are up 3-2 late in a game, your pitcher has a guy leading off that is batting like .375 against career wise and has hit the ball hard everytime you go to your well rested bullpen. Our pen was well rested, our starters have gone deep in every game this week.
  18. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:18 PM) Seems like we can at least draw a few positives out of tonight. BA's coming around, looks like Cliff and Neal settled down, as well as Jon after the beginning. You'll have these games. Anderson has looked a lot better at the plate the last week or so. He is putting balls in play and getting some good swings up there.
  19. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:15 PM) Well, our offense was due for a crappy night like this. Good to see Garland pitch well. Good to see Cliff and Neal pitch well. I have a funny feeling our offense would be a bit better if the regulars were out there with maybe one sub.
  20. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:15 PM) Notice that the Sox can't get any win streaks longer than 8? The highest last season was 8 as well, and we did it a few times. Oh well. When we get to 8 games, Ozzie must run out at least 3 or more subs to make sure that winning doesnt get to our heads.
  21. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:03 PM) f***, that was WAYYYY to easy...... Sexson,Everret, Beltre........ If we get through this we will have the Rally Anderson up next inning.
  22. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 10:50 PM) The fact that Pods is a defensive replacement tells you all you need to know about Pablo. Garland must of loved seeing Ozuna do his thing with that double earlier in the game. He probably said, f*** ME!!!!
  23. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) Well this game is done. I am a dumb dumb mother f***er. LOL Brian f***ing Anderson officially PWNS the Mariners.
