  1. Joe Crede and Dye have a .333 BA against Everyday Eddie. Dye has 2 dongs off of Eddie. If they dont pinch hit then I call bulls***.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 10:17 PM) If nothing else, Everyday Eddie has an ERA over 10. Do you think that Ozzie is going to pinch hit? He has Dye and Crede who can pinch hit, but he wont. He will run Cintron, Anderson out there.
  3. Why did Ozzie leave Garland in? Isnt our pen really really really fresh considering our starters have gone deep into games over the last week. Sunday lineup sure. Jon taking the bump in this inning, f***ing stupid.
  4. QUOTE(LeroySettle @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 02:40 PM) Thats fine Stef, I dont need you anyways. This chick just called me back today, we are going to Reserve Thursday night. Want to join us, I dont mind bringing 2 chicks even if you are a suburb girl. There is a lot of me to go around...thats how I roll with the ladies! He got banned. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
  5. I am a bit conservative on my guess, but Eleventy Billion wins this season.
  6. QUOTE(Soxy @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 08:09 AM) Surf away! Judge: Web-Surfing Worker Can't Be Fired 55 minutes ago NEW YORK - Saying surfing the web is equivalent to reading a newspaper or talking on the phone, an administrative law judge has suggested that only a reprimand is appropriate as punishment for a city worker accused of failing to heed warnings to stay off the Internet. Administrative Law Judge John Spooner reached his decision in the case of Toquir Choudhri, a 14-year veteran of the Department of Education who had been accused of ignoring supervisors who told him to stop browsing the Internet at work. The ruling came after Mayor Michael Bloomberg fired a worker in the city's legislative office in Albany earlier this year after he saw the man playing a game of solitaire on his computer. In his decision, Spooner wrote: "It should be observed that the Internet has become the modern equivalent of a telephone or a daily newspaper, providing a combination of communication and information that most employees use as frequently in their personal lives as for their work." He added: "For this reason, city agencies permit workers to use a telephone for personal calls, so long as this does not interfere with their overall work performance. Many agencies apply the same standard to the use of the Internet for personal purposes." Spooner dispensed the lightest possible punishment on Choudhri, a reprimand, after a search of Choudhri's computer files revealed he had visited several news and travel sites. Martin Druyan, Choudhri's lawyer, called the ruling "very reasonable." This is where policy needs to be in front of goofy judges. You put a content filter that disables all access to non-business related internet sites. If it was my company, I would disable his ability to access the internet all together.
  7. QUOTE(LeroySettle @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 06:45 AM) Look me and my friends like to go out and have fun at sox games. Stop making fun of shirts, hair gel, tan's ect. You are just jealous. To clairify we went to Jimbos after Friday's game, then to Transit. That picture was taken at Transit, my fault. We have a lot in common and some differences. However we are all Sox fans. My point that the fan base is changing and the fact I think its a good thing remains unchanged. I (along with many others- as apparent by the number of balls being thrown back) think the tradition of throwing opposing team homers back is a good thing- many of you dont. No biggie, we live in the greatest country in the world that allows us to have opinions. The "wave", you are gonna have to deal with that also. What we can all be happy for is that the increased attendence is paying for the increased payroll. Hopefully this will continue, unlike what happens on the Northside. I guess my point of responding to this post (Im historically a "lurker" I've been a member of this board for a long time), embrace the changes- the Cell wasnt a cool place to hang out at before. The majority of our fan base looked like/ acted like that guy that ran on the field and got beat down. Yeah we are still more rowdy then other fan bases but we are getting "cooler". Here we are before Sundays victory (thats our Mardi Gras tree behind us). Didnt get any numbers Sunday I think I found your leaders. \ Hey look they were at the same Jimbos you were.
  8. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 10:24 AM) Yo no tengo la menor idea lo que usted tipos dicen y tuve que utilizar a un traductor en línea para decir esto. Since we are not typing english here. Cén fáth nach dtuigeann tú?
  9. Happy Birthday Jas!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Everyone point and laugh at Torii Hunter for trying to be a hero on 3 - 0 and taking a tard cut.
  11. QUOTE(SnB @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) if you think of boone logan as a joke, then it's easier to take. The punchline to that joke still hasnt landed from Hafner.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:37 PM) I love t his f***in team. They are seriously a joy to watch right now. This is the best our offense has looked in a very very long time.
  13. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:33 PM) Were you watching a different inning? What did I say that was untrue? Pretty much you think Garcia is having himself a whale of a night, while everyone else here including Rowand44 who will admit to everyone he looks at the positive side of life more than most think he hasnt had a good outing and is lucky to have some great defense behind him. Even Hawk who by far makes living making the sox look great, even when they are not at their best is criticizing him. DJ also. So everyone here, and the broadcasting crew must be watching a different game.
  14. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) The game in which Freddy gave up a rope for a hit, let the guy run around the bases, and then made 3 good pitches to the heart of their order to limit the damage. You should send in your resume to Brooks, you have a place in this organization.
  15. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:29 PM) Beautiful. Good job Freddy. What game are you watching.
  16. Time to warm up thorton or bmac. We will need some innings from the pen tonight.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) Looks solid. Looked good until that last inning. He looks like he always look. Non-chalant. Give up a walk and a few line drives here and there, and then gets the big out that he needs. Well you should give Hawk and DJ a call then. Hawk one of the biggest white sox homers(I know someone that is more of a homer) of all time thinks that Freddy doesnt look all that hot, and DJ and he were doing a analysis on how lucky Freddy was to get away with so many pitches over the heart of the plate.
  18. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:18 PM) They scored 18 runs in their last series against the great pitching of the Angels. I wouldn't call that scuffling. So in your opinion Freddy looks good tonight.
  19. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:05 PM) The last pitch wasn't a hanger. It was a high curveball. He was trying to throw a high curve. Not one in the dirt. Curveballs that dont break are called hangers. People do not throw high breaking pitches, high breaking pitches flatten out and become souveniers for the kiddies when they cross the outfield fence. AJ was setting up low and away.
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 05:47 PM) I missed the first 1 1/2 innings, but by reading this thread, I can assume that Garcia's not throwing very hard? The radio guys made it sound like his offspeed pitches weren't biting very much. Also, can Chris Singleton please not say "GOT IT" when a guy hits a homer. It sure seems as if they're saying the outfielder caught the ball. If Garcia is at 91 and above he can dominate. He has great breaking stuff, but the difference in velocity along with the tilt is what makes him good. If he is at 85-87 he will have problems. The speed differential wont be there and they dont have to time the pitch, just check for the tilt. He doesnt have the control to pitch at the high 80s. Now the twins are not a great hitting ballclub. If he is doing what Rowand is saying and being hard headed and trying to pitch a different way then he needs to add and subtract from his fastball a bit more. Every so often gun it up at 91-92 so people dont sit on the pitch.
  21. Hawk and DJ keep talking about how Freddy needs to learn how to pitch at this velocity, and how he used to have some gas and needs to pitch around with this stuff. Can someone tell me outside of an injury, how someone drops 5 or more mph on his fastball and it doesnt raise any warning signs. Freddy doesnt have the control to become Buerhle or Maddux and pitch at 85-87. He goes deep into counts and relies on his stuff to get people out. He uses his fastball to offset his breaking stuff, if his fastball is not there people are going to sit at a speed and get some contact on him.
  22. This is why I could care less about Andersons bat. He would of ran the correct route to that ball and probably caught it. Mack runs some circle route around it, and it becomes a double. Garcia is hitting 85 - 87 on the gun. Maybe the entire month of april is a dead arm period for him.
  23. Mark Buerhle just dominated. Thome is a beast. Anderson with some good ABs, maybe this will get him going. The rest of the offense poured it on. oh and EAT s*** TWINKIES
  24. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) BALLGAME! Nice Comcast delay.
  25. Cotts needs to focus. He is ankieling it right now. He is getting 2 strikes, and then is sailing the ball up and away to righties.
