  1. Craig Sox Killer Monroe up. Lets end this Bobby.
  2. Shelton dongs Bobby. Should of been 1 run only. Stop throwing meatballs down the middle bobby.
  3. Anderson takes over Rowands job of running back and letting the ball bounce in and out of his glove. Its hould be one out.
  4. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:05 PM) Uh, what happened with I Rod? Flyout to Anderson.
  5. Hell of a pitching performance by the Count. Not only that, he helped my fantasy league team. Not that I need a lot of help so far, I have Hafner as my 1st baseman, and Thome as my DH.
  6. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:00 PM) maybe you bring in Cotts here for the last out of the 8th, and leave it to Jenks to close out in the 9th? You dont have Cotts come in to face IROD.
  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:47 PM) That part sucks. But I do like their call style. Do they pause and lose track of they are doing like our new radio guy. What is their contract status¿
  8. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:36 PM) What is that link? Please Farmio is back on PBP, so we just have to deal with Singletons insight from time to time.
  9. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:30 PM) I think Brian will be fine. He got caught up in the moment and wanted to hit it 500 feet. I don't think he does that consistantly at all. Funny thing happened at lunch. I ran into Jewel at Mannheim and 22nd to get some fruit for lunch and was listening to my XM portable.. Obama was there for some appearacne and came over to ask the score. Brian is one of the players I hope will make it. He has a great attitude, great tools and should be a good centerfielder for the sox for years to come.
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:29 PM) Uh, no. It should of been an error. It was a tough play, but makeable. Farmio is all over the official scorer on that one.
  11. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) Crede with an E. They give Placido a hit on that. Home scorer.
  12. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:23 PM) Did Anderson swing at ball 4 in that AB or no? The coaching staff need to help him with his batting. The kid has the tools, he just needs to shorten it up a bit. I read today that Brian was trying to hit the ball 500 feet when was up with men on in the Royals series. They should be drilling line drive, line drive in his head.
  13. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:18 PM) This, while a nice summary, basically means nothing this early in the season. The telling stat is that the Sox have scored 36 runs in 7.5 games. Which equates out to about 4.5 runs per game. Our primary leadoff hitter (the guy who should be crossing homeplate the most) has scored one run. I'm not too worried about our offense as a whole, but I am very worried about Pods. However Gooch has been on base like crazy. So all is for naught. My only concern with Pauly not hitting with RISP is that Pauly and Thome are a dangerous tandem. And if Pauly is not hitting ,they will just walk Thome. If Pauly is hitting they will pitch to Thome.
  14. In other news Singleton is on the PBP, so all radio listeners are now blind to what is going on.
  15. Nice, Paulie went up the middle and drives in both runs. If he does this and Dye hits our offense will be fine. Thome needs the help, the guy is a beast.
  16. Thome gets another hit. 2 men on for Konerko. Konerko this is where we need you to hit the ball to right center.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:07 PM) You said other than Thome our offense has been brutal. Dye has been good, AJ has been good and Tadahito has been good. Unless Those three are counted as apart of our offense anymore that is an incorrect statement. Out of our primary run producers. Thome is hitting .500 with men in scoring position. Konerko is hitting .134 with men in scoring position. He needs to get his bat going, because why the hell would you let Thome beat you when the next guy hasnt hit with men on. Dye has been good with a .667BA AJ is hitting .250 with men in scoring position.
  18. Lets go O get your head out of your backside and string a few hits together.
  19. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:03 PM) Four hitters other than Thome are hitting above .300. Our offense hasn't been great, but that's just an incorrect statement. Whats their BA when men are in scoring position. We are hitting .234 as a team. We are also hitting .234 with men in scoring position.
  20. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:01 PM) Man, other than Thome our offense has been brutal. The hitters have the talent. They just are taking huge cuts.
  21. Our hitters strike out too much. Its one thing for big power hitters to wave hard at the ball, but all of our hitter have no plate discipline. Maybe on 2 strikes we dont take a huge cut, try to make a bit of contact.
  22. In other news, before his AB Jim Thome knocked out Chuck Norris with a roundhouse kick.
  23. Thome is a beast. Worked the count 3-1 and then see you later.
  24. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 11:31 AM) I have a feeling thats what he is going to do until they change their approach. Until then he will lay us down on groundouts When they are succesful against this approach they hit the ball oppo early in the game, which forces the opposing pitcher to throw in. This is when we pull some long home runs. We cant have guys constantly trying to pull the outside pitch, we have a few guys strong enough to do it. But not the entire lineup.
