  1. On the comedy note, Boston Gammons just said that he thinks if healthy the Tiggers can win 85 games. LOL Back to our regulary non broadcasted ST game.
  2. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 04:12 PM) Think he said anything about a 2 run bomb? I bet you that Ozzie let out a F bomb in the dugout after watching that, even if this is ST. We won the B game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! of course its against our minor leaguers. But a win is a win.
  3. Randolph gave up a dong. LOL Here is your complementary 2005 Chicago White Sox World Champion tee shirt and we will also validate your parking if you get out by 5pm.
  4. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 04:09 PM) Say goodbye, Randolph. Ozzie made the mound visit, he probably told him we can call the hotel to have your bags packed for you if you walk another guy.
  5. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 03:54 PM) That's Logic 101, kids. Well done, chort. Then you get the guys at Baseball prospectus who come up with crap like this 2006 Rookies: 2003 first-round pick Brian Anderson is lined up to take over center field from the departed Aaron Rowand, and while he’s nowhere near the defensive whiz that Rowand is, he should be an immediate doppelganger of Rowand at the plate, and PECOTA agrees. If for some reason he fails, Jerry Owens could be waiting in the wings. Now where did BP get their goofy thoughts from? Some of their research is ok, and some of their research is a million miles off. Have they ever seen BA play defense, or are they just using some abacus to tell them how BA plays.
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) Yeah, I think it'll take a little longer than a half week...let's just hope our guys know themselves well enough to know what to do to get into their rhythms. I'll worry when we get to April. Hell, we even got beaten up by the Brew Crew up in Milwaukee right before the season started last year. Let's just hope our guys know what to do. Sure did last year. This is all I care about over the next few weeks. I am not worried about the records. Brian Anderson The only one from the starters that it matters how he does is Anderson. He needs to work with Dye and Pods so they can get their collective communication together. He also needs to get some ABs and get a good feel before the grind starts. Jenks Everyone knows he can throw 100mph. He needs to work more on pitch placement, pitching up in the zone. And the big huge thing is locating his curve. If he can throw that for a strike goodnight hitters. Bmac He needs innings, and to work on some touch up stuff. 2nd lefty/crapola Someone needs to seperate themselves from the pack. The rest of the guys are vets. They just need to get through this healthy, get their ABs or innings pitched. Work on a few items and then get ready. I have gone to ST for years. If you are looking for the sox to win every game or play fluidly, wait until the season starts. Because in ST you get some ugly games, some ugly swings, and some ugly pitching.
  7. The sad thing is the guy with the best tools to be the lefty out of the pen is Munoz. His curve is absolutely sick. He could dominate lefties if he threw strikes and was agressive. Hopefully he mans up and pitches well the rest of the spring.
  8. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 03:21 PM) Oh I know. I don't care if we go 0 for our first 13. THey don't count and don't matter. Just saying that we will never look particularly great under Ozzie in ST. Don't matter to me at all. Actually when the starters were in there last year they looked decent, it was when the scrubs would come in they would look bad. This year both of them arent looking too good. But then again its a few days into it. If we are close to the end of ST and the hitters and defense still look like this thats a different story then.
  9. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 03:19 PM) How did Bmac look? He looked okay. He was missing his spots.
  10. QUOTE(Reddy @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 03:17 PM) i think we're all getting a bit too worried. 4th game. spring training. means what? nuthin! I am waiting for the offense to show. Watching the scrubs get the s*** kicked out of them is one thing, watching our hitters not do anything is another.
  11. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 01:46 AM) I'm guessing the video didn't broadcast the defendents face, and the only remnants of him were background sounds--which would have to be corroborated by the victim. Since she refused to watch the video, no validation was given. Reasonable doubt was created. Everyone probably knew he was guilty. It just wasn't possible to convict him on the evidence provided. The judge in this case is a meathead. He used to be a public defender, what a shock. Any judge who thinks its a requirement in a rape trial to have the victim watch the attack should be taken off the bench. But because he is a public defender, he will get a great rating from the bar association come next election. He is doing some goofy things in the criminal court. This is just one of them.
  12. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 2, 2006 -> 10:41 PM) My God, Hillary is f***ing scary. She looks like Satan's spawn. Pure evil. There might be something to that.
  13. Now I think the Dubai deal is a bad thing. But I get a f***ing kick out of wacky liberals like Hillary jumping up and down because of the Dubai deal. She must take some amnesia pills, because she must forget about her husband snuggling up to the Chinese. You know the Chinese that he decided to do a bit of business with. In a very similar deal, a wholely owned Chinese government company Cosco was to take over a port. Bill was all over this deal, how it was a good thing. Shocking what a 300k donation to the DNC does to clear the conscience. I was upset when this was going on in 97 and 98. I was upset when the panama canal handover to the chinese was going on. And I am upset about this now. Oddly if you look at the Cosco deal, they are just as slimey and have done worse than the Dubai company. I dont remember Hillary giving her husband a slap in the head over that and giving speeches. Cosco takeover of old US Naval Station Hillary re-styling herself as a moderate or even a hawk is funny.
  14. The nice thing about the nation of islam. Is that they pretty much dont hide what their view is. As insane as it is. They have an interview about the Palestinian elections, someone basically says that they want to destroy Israel and they just let it fly. I am glad that Blago decided to appoint someone that associates themselves with the Nation of Islam. They interview Dr. Kaukab Siddique who is an Associate Professor of English at Lincoln University, and is most likely someone that the NSA has bugged or should be bugging. Why would Blago during an election let anyone associated with the Nation of Islam on anything. Its not that they are f***ing nuts, its how f***ing nuts they are. I am waiting for the day when ol Farakkan decideds to stop coddling the countries of evil, and decides to have a Jihad of his own. He is just a terrorist in training.
  15. US beat Poland 1 to nil in the snow. Soccer is the snow rocks. And of course the best picture
  16. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 04:29 PM) I only listened on the radio for like last 3 innings.... Farmer sounded good but the other guy didnt really add much... Although I guess they werent bad. Pretty much this sums up the new radio crew. How we will all miss Rooney. Farmio: "So do you think has the upper hand for the 2nd lefty spot" Singleton: I think Cotts is going to win the job Farmio "No besides Cotts, who do you think will be the 2nd lefty" Crickets
  17. This was like a Mark Buerhle game, 2 hours 11 minutes.
  18. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 02:14 PM) Did Juan take any pitches? He hit the first pitch to 3rd. It was a reported a hit and run.
  19. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) I'll just c'n'p my response in a different thread: I was at the game. Konerko's slam was the loudest I have ever heard the park. Watching a sellout crowd jumping up and down in the freezing cold rain kept me warm up in the farthest reaches of the Cell's upper deck. Konerkos slam was very memorable because of how quickly it happened after the pitching change. He just deposited the first pitch he saw into the left field bleachers. Pods was the icing on the cake on that game, but Konerkos slam is what had me believing that there is no way we are going to lose this series. What everyone forgets is that Lidge gave up a warning track fly to Uribe right before Pods came up. I had a feeling someone was going to end it on a dong, I thought it was going to be Dye not Pods. Having the Go Go White Sox song playing and then Thunderstruck and then the Dont stop believing(even though its corny) was a nice touch at the end of the game.
  20. I am giving up caffeine in all known forms. I actually started on this 2 weeks ago.
  21. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 10:24 AM) Yeah, I'm not saying we need to panic. He can take off the weight....maybe. A little heat, some running, and lots of water and he will shed a few pounds.
  22. QUOTE(orangekrush88 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 06:52 PM) Great stuff, I am loving the relationship between the two, don't know if this was posted over here or not but it was on the TNA front page about a week ago: Basebrawl" Shirts In Style At White Sox Spring Training News February 20th, 2006 15:37 "BASEBRAWL" SHIRTS IN STYLE AT WHITE SOX SPRING TRAINING This weekend, pitchers and catchers for the World Series champion White Sox reported to spring training in sunny Tucson, Arizona, including catcher AJ Pierzynki and strength and conditioning coach Dale Torborg. Pierzynski and Torborg were part of the "Basebrawl" match that took place at December's "Turning Point" Pay-Per-View. Both Torborg and Pierzynski have attended subsequent TNA live events in Orlando since the December bout. This weekend at the start of training camp, Torborg unveiled a "Basebrawl" shirt he created for members of the White Sox to wear. The shirt features the TNA logo on the front and Torborg, Pierzynski and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan on the back. From all accounts, the shirt is already a hit as numerous players have sported them during daily training and media appearances. According to Torborg, he's already gone through a hundred shirts this weekend and has already ordered more to fill the demand of the rest of the White Sox roster and their families. That shirt is pretty cool. I would buy it.
  23. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 09:47 AM) Yesterday, University scientists released the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer. Men should take a concerned look at their beer consumption. The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops contain phytoestrogens) and that by drinking enough beer, men turn into women. To test the theory, 100 men were fed 8 pints of beer each within a 1hour period. It was then observed that 100% of the test subjects: 1) Gained weight. 2) Talked excessively without making sense. 3) Became overly emotional. 4) Couldn't drive. 5) Failed to think rationally. 6) Argued over nothing. 7) Had to sit down while urinating. 8) Refused to apologize when obviously wrong. No further testing was considered necessary This is Gods way of making sure the Irish never rule the world.
  24. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 08:21 AM) wait a second, you cant just bring your ipod home and turn it on(well at least I couldnt). I had to download the Itunes programs on my computer, and then plug it in to my computer and let it charge for more than a few hours before I could do anything with it. When you plug your Ipod into your computer, it always freezes up, you cannot disconnect it from the computer without disconnecting it THROUGH the computer. And if you cannot disconnect it through itunes, usually a USB icon shows up on the bottom right hand corner of your computer screen(the three pronged wire icon), you can right click that, hit disconnect, and then hit STOP to disconnect your Ipod that way. Is your computer up to the specifications needed for an Ipod? You might have to try a different computer. Or, you might just have a defective Ipod. I remember having all kinds of problems when I got mine, but they turned out to be nothing really. Kyyle hit it on the head. Just install the software that came with your IPOD first, then connect the device. If you try and connect it without installing the software you are running windows your OS will try to detect it as a mass storage device. If you load the drivers first, then it will detect it correctly and associate your Itunes software with the IPOD when its connected. Now if you have a defective unit, then all of the above is worthless. I have had the 20 gig unit for a while and it works great never had a problem. Also make sure that you have your AC power plug ready to go if you update the firmware, as it needs a reliable power source for the firmware upgrades.
