  1. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) If we see Jizzcan or Damn Ass Hole Marte, we're probably f***ed. Jenks is our 6th to 7th inning guy. Marty Party who cant get lefties out is our lefty specialist. And Jizzcan is now our setup guy. Hermys back in on life support, so he will pitch again tonight. So much for seeing Jenks in a game.
  2. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 01:05 PM) Why was Anderson called up? To keep adkins warm on the bench.
  3. Jenks is down, Marty Party is up and Jizzcan is up also. We dont want to win this series.
  4. Now we are facing relievers. So that means they can K the side. The game gets late and we start swinging like we have no clue.
  5. I am so glad we have Uribe hitting 2nd instead of Gooch. Why tire out the poor pitchers arm. Its more humane to put human fans in to wave at the ball.
  6. Rincon in, you could get people from the crowd to volunteer to pitch this inning for the twins. Felix Diaz could probably shut us out now.
  7. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:58 PM) My email to Hawk: "Hawk, I'm a big Sean Penn fan. He's in Iran right now and I was wondering if you could give him a shout out. Thanks, and Go Sox!" :puke :puke :puke Sean Penn
  8. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) The funny thing is, Crede is due for arbitration. He's got Bora$$ as his agent. I'd like to see what he gets in the offseason. Hopefully an unconditional release!!!!
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:55 PM) Everyone points to Joe's long swing as the source of his troubles. How about his horrific batters eye? The guy wouldnt know the difference between a strike and a ball if there was a manual. Well when you have to generate the swing before the pitcher rocks back because its long you need Ms. Cleo to tell you if the pitch is a strike or ball.
  10. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:55 PM) I can't even hit 80 but I have a decent hook. I'm very confident I could mow them down. Hit the outside corner and you could 3 hit the lineup.
  11. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) Joe has ABSLOUTELY no clue up there!! Maybe Gooch can sit with Crede and teach him about his culture, it could keep his mind off things. Or better yet, maybe Gooch can go over that whole ceremony of failure that involved a kendo sword
  12. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) We need to fight again... b****. And, fathom, Iguchi wouldn't have made the play either. Slow chopper up the middle, even a throw right on the money and he would've been safe. YOU RET@#$! Crede should get his money back from the people who built his hitting cage in his backyard.
  13. Its nice to see we are dancing again with less than 2 runs. The pitchers probably want to get bats to beat the crap out of our hitters. CAN WE ACTUALLY SCORE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, OR ARE WE GOING TO HOLD ON A 1 RUN LEAD.
  14. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 09:20 AM) I'd imagine we'd definitely see him with Cotts at somepoint in today's game. And with Hermy's back troubles, he could be closing real soon. If the throws that curve for a strike and can keep ahead of hitters he will be very hard to hit. The only thing to worry about is how the pressure of this will get to him. So far he has done well. I think the bomb in Boston from Ortiz was a great learning tool for him. If you get behind hitters I dont care how hard you throw, they can catch up. If you pitch ahead and stay ahead, with his stuff he can be as dominant as anyone. Hermy needs to get that back in check. We need him for the post season run. When he is above 90 and has good sink to his pitches he is very hard to hit. When his velocity is down and his pitches dont have that sink to it, its batting practice time.
  15. Well BMAC good luck. Throw your change and two seamer and get some of those curves over for strikes and you will mow them down.
  16. Pods goes on his rehab assignment tomorrow. BEST NEWS OF THE NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) How many pitches had Burhrle thrown through 8? Over a 100. I had no problems with the guys that were brought in(outside of hermy who we knew would get hit hard). They didnt execute and left balls up.
  18. JENKS NEEDS TO GET SOME TIME AT THE END OF THE GAMES. EVEN IF THEY WANT TO USE HIM AT THE ALTERNATE CLOSER. HE BASICALLY PWND THESE TWINS FOR 3 INNINGS LAST WEEK THROWING ON FUMES. OUR CLOSER GETS HIT HARD AND GETS SOME DEFENSE BEHIND HIM TO END THE GAME. HERMY NEEDS TO GET THAT BACK IN CHECK. VELOCITY DOWN.
  19. WAY TO STEP UP BUERHLE. WAY TO HIT GUYS. NOW DUPLICATE THIS APPROACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE MAGIC NUMBER GOES DOWN. THANK GOD OUR BULLPEN DIDNT f***ING BLOW THIS. f*** YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) They are starting a DH who is a career .218/.286/.250 vs. LHP They signed Timo?
  21. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Timo. :puke How is there no Blum? He's our best f***ing hitter right now. No more lefties pitching against us, so Timo is back. Timo:Ozzie::Hollandsworth:Dusty Ozzie manages via his gut. The same gut that told him to pinch hit Timo for gooch, told him to sit Blum and play Crede. The slumpbuster lineup is in full effect.
  22. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 02:45 PM) Um, Mr. Admin .. sir. It's "you're". That pic is a crackup.
  23. Hopefully we put some good line drive swings on the ball tonight. This is Mays, he is not Cy Young and has been not so good past the ASB this year. This is the type of pitcher we should beat. GO SOX!!!!! Support that great pitching staff!!!!!!!!!!!!
