QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Timo. :puke How is there no Blum? He's our best f***ing hitter right now. No more lefties pitching against us, so Timo is back. Timo:Ozzie::Hollandsworth:Dusty Ozzie manages via his gut. The same gut that told him to pinch hit Timo for gooch, told him to sit Blum and play Crede. The slumpbuster lineup is in full effect. -

Hopefully we put some good line drive swings on the ball tonight. This is Mays, he is not Cy Young and has been not so good past the ASB this year. This is the type of pitcher we should beat. GO SOX!!!!! Support that great pitching staff!!!!!!!!!!!! -
QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) At times, I have the same outlook. Yet, at times, I know that would be one hellacious gamble to take. If we claimed KGJ off of waivers and took on his entire contract, we could be totally screwed for the next few years if he broke down. It's a tough call to make. I have a question though, doesnt insurance cover when a player goes on the DL for a long time. I have no idea of if it does or doesnt, just asking the question.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) You think Reinsdorf would be willing to play a little more for Griffey especially since the Sox should make the playoffs (holding breath on that.) He'll get money back for that and it'll bring more fans to the ballpark to see Griffey play. Well for years he has said that the payroll was down because people didnt come to the park. Well people are coming in droves, lets see if he ponies up some bucks to make a run.
-
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) yeah it would, I'd like to think the Griffey deal isn't dead, but I won't believe anything until I see him in a Sox uniform. Here is the worrysome quote. So we are still far apart in money owed. So dont blame KW, Thanks Reinsdorf. And we would have to give up a good pitching prospect. I think the money is probably a lot of it.

What is a CAPTCHA. Thats the little image that you get on certain sites like ticketmaster, yahoo and others that makes you read the image and type in the contents in a box to verify that you are a person. It was designed to keep Bots from autosubscribing to sites and basically taking them over. The idea is that this technology will keep the humans in and the bots out. Well, as security researchers are sneaky bastards a few of them have figured out flaws in this technology and are starting to post proof of concepts on how to crack this. Nothing out in the wild yet with this. Another way of defeating web bots goes down the dust hole Yahoo's version broken On the good news front this is similiar technology that Ticketmaster uses this, maybe I can get playoff tickets after all. WHOOO HOOO

QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 10:29 AM) Not even close, keep trying, maybe pull out some more stuff about Timo blowing Ozzie, you're much better in that genre. Rather than you checking on security, I think security should be checking on you because there's definitely a problem. I hope your one year old listens to his mother, the father is a lost cause unless the kid plans on growing up to be Mr Picture Poster and toilet humor. Don't worry, you still have time to turn it around ... but you're not off to a good start today. See this is where you turn it personal. You go from talking to me to brining my son into this. You talk a good game, then you run your mouth and run to the mods. Now let me help you out Jimbo, in Illinois is against the law to threaten bodily harm by chat/email/or written word on an website or blog an individual or post their person information on it. Just remember that the next time you want to threaten another poster like you have done a few times this year.

QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 10:08 AM) As for your shirt, use it as your diaper. Your one year old can change it for you. Hopefully he turns out better than dear old dad. Well Kim not all of us are back in the diaper part of our life like you.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 09:18 AM) How about we call up Borchard or Brad Fullmer if we still have him. Brad I still believe is injuried.
-
QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 09:13 AM) Maybe you should have listened to your mother a bit more, it might have helped. Thanks for the advise about my mother. She left a shirt for you.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) Because I wanna be first... http://www.google.com/talk/ Great another application to block for my company. Well I can spend my time this afternoon sniffing the traffic and writting IDP signatures for it. Just what I wanted to do.

QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 08:53 AM) Wow, what a mature response. How big is that chip on your shoulder? What a mature response? See you sound like someone's mother. No chip on my shoulder. You are amusing.

QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 08:48 AM) My point is, you beat things to death. Since it works both ways, you keep beating things to death, certainly your right to do so. Last I checked, I can point it out too. Thanks mom for the constant corrections. I will try and do better next time. Dont tell dad.
-
QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 08:37 AM) Nice graphic, don't know who you're referring to, if it's me once again you don't know what you're talking about, I never said the White Sox offense is fine. Obviously they have problems, I find it amusing though that certain posters on this board fancy themselves as hitting coaches and managers, while they answer phones at their computer company or financial services jobs. Oddly I thought this was a whitesox message board. Everyone is an amature manager and coach. I guess I am the first person to have suggestions Actually today I am doing my amature coaching, while I am performing some security audits on our Asia/Pac companies. I will have to try the answer phone and analyze hitting trick. Sounds like a good idea.

QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 08:25 AM) Of course you can vent. 100% agree. And when IMO the venting crosses over into the lewd or absurd, am I not allowed to vent about that? Does it not work both ways?

QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 06:48 AM) Rowand is in the exact same squatty stance as last year. Pitchers have made an adjustment on him, he needs to adjust in return. I wonder why so many on this board aren't employed in baseball, I'm not either. Well review video of his swing from last year to this year. Which is where I base this from. The stance is the same, the hand positioning is not. He has them more tucked into his body. His swing is not short and compact like last year. We see this a few times this year, where he uses a compact swing and gets a good hit on the ball. -
QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) oh we'll be seeing it when he's hitting big HRs against the Sox down the stretch... I got a crystal ball, and I heard Hawk during tomorrow's game.... Hawk chuckles.. "well, that's what I love about baseball, you just can't explain it! Guy is average against most of the league, then 'poof' put him against a certain team and he looks like Cy Young" this is after Joe Mays strikes out his 7th batter on his umpteenth hanging curveball More like "Well he got a cookie and couldnt do anything with it, well Mays has settled in nicely and has retired 15 in a row" then about an inning later "Look at that, Joe Crede got a cookie and just got underneath it. This is a game of inches. But man Joe has thrown some leather tonight. Thats why I wouldnt give a guy like this up for a Arod. Sure Arod is a HOFer. But can he lay out like Joe. " "Sinch it up and Hunker down its a do or dye ninth"
-
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:19 AM) "Don't tell me what you hit, tell me when you hit." ----Hawk Harrelson Actually for Timo is "Dont tell me what you popped up, its when you popped the ball up"
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:19 AM) It's really pathetic Ozzie's love for Timo. Iguchi might have struggled tonight...but he f***ing deserves the chance to contribute. First, he has a lot more power than Timo, especially in that situation. Iguchi's also more likely to reach base via walk, and he has more speed on the bases. I've been nervous all year that Ozzie couldn't manage us well in a pressure situation (playoffs), and he's really been managing poor during our stretch of bad games lately. I've never seen a manager leave his starting pitchers in so long. GRINDER RULE NUMBER 69 WHEN BLOWING YOUR MANAGER DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SPILL THE MAN JUICE. JUST TAKE IT WITH A SMILE AND A WINK, AS YOU GOBBLE YOUR WAY .....INTO THE LINEUP.
-
Gload went 2 for 3 with a walk and an RBI. His two hits were doubles. Meanwhile Timo gobbles his way into clutch situations.
-
Well if you werent pissed before here are the post game clips from the team Is he f***ing nuts. What part of this game did he believe we battled and hit the ball at all. This quote proves that they have no f***ing clue. Just tip your hat every night to the opposing pitcher as you go up there swinging the bat like three blind mice. Everytime you try and figure out why this team has been so bad lately. You see quotes like this from the team and shake your head.

QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 11:59 PM) Where would they play? I am still trying to figure out what parts of this team are the "speed never slumps" part. That our offense was reworked because it needs to be more consistant. We need not to score 14 and struggle to score a few the next few days. NOW WE ARE GREAT, WE SCORE 1 RUN EVER OTHER GAME. -

QUOTE(greg775 @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 11:49 PM) But Irish, The trade deadline is passed. There are no options. Enjoy the ride; we are gonna right the ship. The waiver deadline passed. Last time I checked its still August so we can still add someone. Lets see what our guys are doing to right this ship. The majority of our lineup has completely died. Joe Crede has a .115 BA and a .167 OBP Timo the offical fluffer has a .176BA and a .243 OBP. Pablo is .190BA with a .261 OBP Jermaine Dye is at .203BA with a .235OBP and get this a .297 slugging percentage Rowand is leading the team in Ks and hitting .230 with a .260OBP. Gooch is hitting .250 with and a .308 OBP. Uribe is hitting .231 with a .317OBP. Now look at his OBP and he is a meathead and compare him to the rest of the strikeout kings. The medicore part AJ hitting .269 The good Everett is hitting .298 Kong is hitting .333 with 1.200 OPS But why in the name of god would I give Kong something good to hit. He has Arow and Dye protecting him. The ship looks like its on its way to offensive bliss to me.
