  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) No, I mean Wendelstedt doing a damn helicopter with his arm. That was not Hunter, it was Leslie Nielsen.
  2. Nice first appearance in Yankee stadium. He K's Arod. Very nice.
  3. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 07:48 PM) Mussina's not good? Well with the .281 BAA, and the plus 4 Era you would think that you have a chance to hit him up a bit.
  4. Oddly he pulled the outside pitch with the Pauly Pull baseball shift on. I am surprised lots of teams dont invoke the Pauly Pull Baseball Shift. Well its Timo, Dye, Rowand against the sandman in the 9th. YIKES
  5. We should be able to put more than 2 runs up against the Yanks banged up pitching staff.
  6. We need a run before the sandman comes in the 9th.
  7. f*** YOU HUNTER WENDLESTEDT. THE BALL HIT AROD ASSHOLE. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE WITH THIS UMPING CREW. VIDEO TAPE THIS AND SEND IT OFF AS A f*** THE SOX MONTAGE. This is like WWF wrestling when the ref is some bad wrestler.
  8. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) BTW, Timo haters. He's batting 1.000 today. He's doing his job tonight, unlike the rest of this team. Sun shines on a dogs ass once in a while. I was at the game yesterday and he did crap, hence the beautiful 217 BA.
  9. Clue to the hitters, this is hunter wendlestedt. He hates you because you are a member of this team. Anything remotely near the plate on 2 strikes protect. Mussina will have 10 Ks tonight.
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) He gave up 3 runs in the 5 innings against an awesome Boston offense on the road and would have had the win if Rivera didn't blow the save. This is also when he was hurt. He has a 2.63 postseason ERA in his career. Maybe he is going through another tired arm period. Another DL stint a coming.
  11. Having Timo DH is the same as having Borchard in RF last year. Their stats are very similiar. Except LTP could hit the long ball.
  12. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 05:52 PM) Oh yah. If we play like crap for the next two months it certainly doesn't raise the playoff hopes. Wouldn't be a good thing to go into the postseason losing a bunch. But that doesn't make this a big game for El Duque because of that. I guarentee he isn't thinking about anything like that. He turns into a different monster in the postseason. Does it suck that he thinks liek that during the regular season? Sure. But that's the way it is. You should check his Postseason ERA from last year. Mr. October is a thing of previous Octobers. The man is pushing the old age home.
  13. This is why Mr. October shouldnt pitch this October. He is 40+ yeard old and is s***ting the bed. They are going to put up a 6 spot on this guy before 5 innings.
  14. QUOTE(alexgtp @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 04:34 PM) WHY TIMO!!! WHY!! He is not a DH!! ughhhhhh WHY!!! This is a focking joke right. Timo Perez is our DH, and he is batting 5th. Well so much for Paully seeing a decent pitch tonight. No protection, 4 walks.
  15. Ventura Grand slam off of Gossage 2 out bottom of the ninth back against the wall grand slam to win the game. I remember the fireworks and then the reaction of the fans. Going down the ramps after the game and it seemed that the place was shaking. That was the most electric I can remember the place being. I remember not wanting to leave. New ballpark, new memories.
  16. Just got back from the game. WHAT A FOCKING CATCH AROW HAD. He looked like that guy from the Natural running through the wall. That is a man with some STONES. Nice effort by Garland. He pitched like an ace today. I didnt think we were going to have any homers with the wind howling in like it was. Konerkos was a clear line drive shot. Very impressive. Credes was a long arch that just kept carrying into the teeth of the wind. It would of been a moon shot if the wind didnt hold it up. Offense needs to step it up on the road now. We will need some runs and hopefully we can get Everett back in as DH. No more of the Timo Perez DH show.
  17. LISTEN JOO BISHES, I AM DA FOCKING MANAGER, YOU DON PLAY MY WAY, YOU DON PLAY HERE. DIS WEEK ON FOCKING DIS WEEK IN DA BASEBALL.
  18. GOOCH FINISHES IT OFF, DUSTIN GETS HIS 27 SAVE. BUERHLE GETS A WIN OUR OFFENSE NEEDS TO WORK ON GETTING MORE THAN 4 FOCKING HITS.
  19. memo to dustin, dont walk hitters batting 171 to get to Ichiro.
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 07:18 PM) I hate it when Timo starts but there still aren't many guys I'd rather have up then him with the game on the line in the 9th. And no I'm not joking. As a pinch hitter, not a problem I agree with you. As a starter NO NEVER NO WAY.
  21. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) So... Timo went 0-fer again. He's down to .223, and his OBP is creeping towards, if not already there, the .260s. But, we don't need Ross Gload. CWS the scary thing is that if Everett goes on the DL, Borchard gets the call, not Gload. Per Chicagosports.com. KW thinks he just may have come around. Good lord.
  22. QUOTE(brijames @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 07:15 PM) Gooch is flat out this teams MVP. Buerhle probably wants to give him a hug after that. LOL
  23. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 07:11 PM) Thank god Iguchi doesnt know to much English .. were Walker can screw up his swing You owe me money for copyright infringement. I have been making that comment all year long. LOL
  24. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 07:11 PM) It looks like Scotty is starting to come out of his stolen base slump. That's huge. Gotta feeling this is going to be an ugly ab for aaron resulting in a k. Prove me wrong arow. Scotty Pods has looked good on the basepaths again. That is a great sign. Gooch coming through. BTW has anyone heard a status on Everett.
  25. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) Gotta love that 1-2 of ours. If our 3-4-5 could get it going we would be in business.
