  1. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) Alright Scotty, basehit now. We're playing baseball now.... This is more like it. Not everything has to be bashed to mars. Just string a few hits together. Keep the line moving.
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) Ya, that's exactly it. :headshake :headshake :headshake :headshake Give me a logical explanation of why Freddy started the 9th inning against the tigers on the last home stand after throwing well over a hundred pitches and having a 1 hour rain delay. Maybe its because he was better than anyone in our pen, or maybe he is putting the wood to a relative of Ozzie.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 07:59 PM) Freddy in trouble, might be time to bring in Bobby and get a few k's. He is a relative. He aint coming out.
  4. Well Freddy is over 100 pitches. Most managers would say maybe he is tired and start to get the pen up. But then again, not many pitchers are married to relatives of the manager. Maybe he will start the next inning.
  5. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 07:50 PM) Pk w/ a single. Cmon AJ!! GIDP This is focking Corpseball. Solo Homers, and then nothing. Any other team lights up this turd. He has averaged at least giving up 4 runs lately. And he has a plus 6 ERA.
  6. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) Some good news. 2 of the important teams that we are looking at are both losing. Oakland is down to KC and Boston is losing to Minny. The only other teams we'd really be interested in are the Yanks, who are winning, but that doesn't really matter, and LAA who hasn't started yet. We are going to get into the playoffs. The other teams dont matter. Its time for this team to learn how to string a few hits together without trying to park everyone into the stands. They need to get back to situational hitting. Driving the runner in. Its time to get this offense going before the playoffs. When 6+ Era pitchers can shut us down for most of a game its pretty focking sad.
  7. BTW official note to everyone. When DJ makes comments about Juan Uribe having a very long swing. Its pretty obvious. That he doesnt need to use a long swing to get the power. HMM I wonder what Juan is trying to do.
  8. Its the Whitesox retro offense now. Hitting solo homers and stranding runners. Your 2000-2004 Whitesox. We have too many hitters looking longball when they come home.
  9. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 01:43 PM) here is a pic of konerko's wife: Now that image has been cropped down. Cool.
  10. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:38 AM) It's a good song, but it has nothing to do with this game thread. Therefore, it is damn creepy for someone to start a game thread with imagine lyrics. Also, how can someone like both the Red Sox and the White Sox? Now if it was Pantera/AC-DC/Metallica thats different. LETS BEAT THE CRAP OUT THEM
  11. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) Dustin looking like a real closer today. Dustin Looked Filthy
  12. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) D.J.'s homerun calls definitely need some work. On a side note, I love Iguchi. :uhoh
  13. GOOCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NICE DONG GOOOCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLUTCH AS HELL.
  14. Jays doing a little corpseball themselves today.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 02:56 PM) Just able to get online now, but why in the f*** did Ozzie use Cotts and Cliff so soon? On what planet are Cotts and Cliff the middle relievers to get to Marte and Viz, the set-up men? Just what I was thinking. Cotts and Cliff are middle mop up men and now Marty Party and Jizzcan are the guys in the middle of the mix at the end.
  16. God Damn Marty Party. Geoff Blumm saves Marty Party.
  17. Crede has been a bit shakey lately on the easy plays. He makes the hard ones and then bones the easy ones with men on. Is the back more of a problem than he is letting on.
  18. QUOTE(VAfan @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 09:26 PM) And I believe the Sox will still be kicking ass in 2008 with Chris Young in the outfield and Brandon McCarthy on the mound. So we should take a gamble on a bad offense getting lucky and our pitching shutting people down because you want to project the Whitesox in 2008. You have got to be focking kidding me. 2008, are you for real. No world series title since 1917, have a good chance at going deep in the playoffs. But fock that, lets not get rid of one of our 5 or 6 OF prospects that are in AA or below. You realize that only 3 OF can play at a time right. Arow is young, Pods is 29 and isnt going anywhere. 2008, LOL
  19. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 09:50 PM) you cant win em all, sox will win tomorrow, mark my word We are facing a call up from AA. His first start was against the good hitting Texas team. He 2 hit them over 5 innings with 6Ks. He is a very hard throwing guy. Mid 90's but can step it up to upper 90s at times. OH YEAH WE ARE GOING TO DO WELL AGAINST HIM :uhoh
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) I'm making 1 comment in here and that's it. They're in a funk right now I don't buy the crap that they suck at home because of big crowds that's just bs to me. The Sox haven't been playing that well as of late and good thing we ran into baltimore who's been playing a lot worse. Once we right the ship which will happen soon then everything will fall back into place, on the road and at home. We have played well on the road. Its not the big crowds. Its the homerdomes attraction.
  21. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) Pods' last at bat, I said to my dad... "He's really slumping lately, he should try and bunt his way on." But no, he stands there and strikes out. :headshake Pods is batting .111 for his last 7 days with a OBP of 200
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 09:35 PM) Our 3-4 contributed for all of our runs tonight. He's not making any moves. All of our runs tonight were courtesy of the dong. I guess misheard Gene when he said tonight "On your feet whitesox fans for your 2004 Whitesox"
