That pop up is now flying out of the park. He doesnt have the stuff to get hitters out if he gets behind consisantly. This is only a preview of more to come from big bombings if he doesnt get ahead of some hitters. Sorry an 84mph meatball doesnt frighten hitters. Conteras needs a shrink. Last night at the cell his first pitch was at 96 on the gun at the park. Every single fastball was at 94. Live fastball. His problem is he gets behind also. When he gets behind he loses location and gets way to much of the plate. Also he falls in love with his splitter. He slows down and the game drags. They should ban him from behing able to shake the catcher off. Watching him or the other cuban shake off our catchers who have been responsible for calling some great games is a joke. Its like watching Kevin Costner turning to the hitter, 2 hitter and this guy is shaking me off, well here comes the duce. And teddy when you speak of me, speak well.

When we were in pitching duels in Colorado for the 1st two games we should of known this anemic offense was near a nice streak of crap. Then Byung Yung Kim shuts us down for a while, and that Stauffer guy shuts us down so we only score 1 run.

I hope our guys start to work on hitting line drives instead of trying to pull and elevate every single pitch in every single AB. Uribe hopefully keeps up the good work over the last few games. Going the other way and working the count. El Duque needs to pitch better than his crappy cuban companion from last night. Hopefully the wind isnt blowing out. He needs to pitch ahead and stay ahead. This falling behind every single hitter so they can sit and wait to drive one is not cool. Its June and this offense needs to show it can be consistant. It has been great for a game, then crappy for a few. Gooch is trying to pull the ball too much, Walker must of gotten his Japanese to English Pull dictionary. Now Arow is trying to tinker with his swing. :puke

I still dont understand why they give Contreras the option of shaking any catcher off. Ozzie should have a little chat with our two cuban car slow motion machines. How about this guys, when AJ or widger put down the one finger throw a fastball. Dont think about, hey I really want to throw my splitter or my 65mph curve. Think he put the fastball finger down, let me adjust my grip for fastball. Whatever finger or combination of fingers call a certain pitch, throw that pitch. I am the manager, we pay you to pitch, they pay me to make decisions. DONT THINK MEAT, THINKING HURTS THE TEAM

Baj has better numbers, but its hard to argue with upper 90 flamthrowing and a good curve. Stuff can get you around some limitations of experience at the major league level. This is why other teams pitching prospects look so good their first time out against us. Their guys are throwing gas or having moving gas and its still hard to hit it. We have 91 mph location pitchers. When they get nervous for their first time, the miss on location and then its just batting practice. The only thing I worry about with Jenks is getting all goofy and walking the world. However if Jenks and Baj were to come in and stabilize this pen. Damn. Bye Bye Dingo, never knew you were here. Trade him to the NL. They obviously havent seen him there. He will do great in the NL.

Randa's most telling stat. BA with runners in scoring position and less than two outs .294. With 2 outs..... .381. Keep Uribe at SS, put Joe and 2 on the bench, and get Randa. Uribe will come out of it, and Randa can keep the offense going and drive in runs when men are on instead of King to strand them. Joe Credes stats with men on and less than 2 outs .250 and with 2 outs its .125.

Uribe can get better, Cruddy cannot. Uribe has shown flashes of greatness, Cruddy has shown 2 weeks of greatness over his 1400ABs. I would spend the rest of the trades on pitching. Pitching is what gets you through the playoffs. Get a good closer, and a good lefty specialist. If you could get a starter and put El Duque or conteras into long relief the better.

Break our necks trying to pull the ball Of course our pullonly boys pulled the f***ing ball. They cant stop, its not in their nature to do other than that. Frank Thomas tries to show how its done, he hits it to dead center, then puts one down the line in right. Uribe goes the other way a few times. Very impressive. Konerko went the other way once. Now if you have such a live fastball what do you do, you crawl into your shell and get behind every hitter, then when you come back with the fastball it gets mashed. Viz pitched well. Dingo almost got clocked, the one line drive went to the fence on his first inning. And of course why f***ing Timo Perez as the pinch runner and replacement for Frank. Its not like Timo buys you any speed, he is slow. And to boot their is a lefty pitching. Ozzie is in love with this turd for whatever reason. SAD SAD Game. What a bad taste for such a good crowd tonight.
