Can we trade Willie for someone who can actually play SS and not just imitate a SS. -

Thank you Willie for showing us how worthless you truly are. You suck so bad it hurts. Ground ball and retard pulls an ole. Now lets go into the wayback machine, yes to Sunday where he booted another one. Thank you crotch rot Willie. This is why we lose in Cali. Retarded crappy defense. Dropping balls, kicking balls, balks. Crap on a stick. -
QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:18 PM) Sox Grinders radio commericial about throwing an opponent's ball back.. Heh. You have to love Brooks. What I want to see this year. Is the TWINS SUCK shirts. :fthecubs

Someone needs to kick Dan Patrick. He is skipping. He is repeating the quotes over and over and over. Now he is going over the Frank Thomas quotes. Good grief.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 12:16 PM) I suggest a few people call-in, along with myself and tell Dan to talk about the 8 game winning streak instead of giving us bad press from a week ago. :fyou Dan 1-888-729-3776 Last year, the twins of the DL were on the cover of this magazine and that. They had this "romantic" idea of the cubs vs the bosox in a curse off. We retool over the winter and get crapped on for taking the power from this team. Everybody has been against us, like it always is. Ozzie should print this crap out and paste it on the board. No one respects you, play with a chip on your shoulder. I keep going back to the scene in Slaptop where the old man is hitting the bus with a sledge and the guy comes up what are you doing. Making the bus look mean. Lets play mean and ugly. Whitesox Pride :finger All you baseball analysts

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 12:09 PM) It's about ozzie vs mags EDIT....he just mentioned he is tweaking Frank Thomas too 16-4 and this is what they have to talk about. :finger ESPN BoSox/Yank/Cub loving morons. If this was the cubs out to this start it would be press about how this is enchanted and this is the year. :fyou Dan Patrick you washed up turd :fyou Busty/Bugsy or whatever your 1924 name is Onley :fyou Boston Gammons take your chowder and stuff it Sox Pride Its us against them

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 08:24 AM) Well Larry Bowa predicted us to win the Wild Card, but Jeff Brantley said that we have no chance of that pitching continuing. Brantley is nothing but a blowhard. The only way he will respect the sox is if we are hoisting a trophy at the end of the season. BTW someone should tell Jeff that he looks fat in a suit.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) Yet another vintage Kerry Wood outting: ND: 6 IP, 8 hits, 5 ER, 2 BB, 6 K's. Very disappointing effort from the pitcher whom continues to burden high expectations. Regardless of his past achievements, the Cubs can't be satisfied with an 11 million dollar, inconsistent hurler. I'm honestly looking forward to Steve Stone criticizing Wood on The Score tomorrow afternoon. And to add insult to injury their mascot Ronny Woo Woo got ran over outside the park. First someone gets shot now people are getting run over, maybe the northside isnt the safe area they believe it to be. WOO WOO WOO

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) Id like to see how your era would look if you had Mike Jackson coming in after you all last year .... anyways like its been said the real person who messed up was Uribe with that Wheel Play. And what about the walks. Who gets blamed for that. Maybe AJ. Come on. Cotts has been doing this for a while. Cotts would load up the bases last year, then Thriller would empty them. It was a revolving door. The only reason it didnt get any press its because of the cancer we had at the 5th starting spot. -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) Just can't seem to get over that hump to make a sweep. Keep rolling and win every one of these series, and I will be a happy Sox fan. My player of the game is the one and only Neal Cotts. Thank you Neal for giving us a chance and not walking runners, oh wait, or throwing wild pitches, damn he did that too, or getting behind hitters. Ah f*** it, Neal can you give Walker a call and let him know that you are keeping his seat warm. I know we need two lefties and all. But Vis pitches just as good to lefties. Lets drop Cotts and bring up Atkins. At least he has heart. -

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 08:09 PM) Well at least this means Cotts and hopefully Politte won't be available tomorrow. Why is Widger playing first? Konerko is your DH. And gload is out of the game. If you move Konerko into the field you lose the DH spot and pitchers hit. Fun. -

QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) The Tadpole POPS UP. Where is the great clutch hitter? Now Valnetin or Lee or Maggs would have smashed that one Valentin would of K'd. Lee would of poped up to 1st. Maggs would of gotten the hit, but his stomach hurts. So he wouldnt be in the lineup anyways. -

We have seen some interesting defensive plays. LeCroy tagging Santana. Now we have Arthur Rhodes stepping on the bag, while the 1st baseman is facing the other way. Oh and by the way, he has the ball. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) His wildness really cost us in the bad 6th inning. Without the wild pitch and walk, Cora's unlikely to have that smart hit. A good reliever has got to have solid control. He gets behind the count on just about everyone. He walks people left and right. He has a sneaky fastball that will get people who arent smart enough to take a pitch. This is all formulas for success in the majors. Send him down so he can either learn how to throw strikes. -

I am glad that neal is growing up and settling into the majors into year 3. No he is pretty much the same crap he was last year. The only member left of the craptacular trio from last year(thriller, kock and he) -

Why is this such a shock with Cotts. Last year it was him and Jackson who would come in and and give up the ship. This wildness thing is now into another year and he still hasnt figured out how to throw a strike. His routine is getting old now. -

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) Dear Mr. Cotts, Please bridge us to the 6th inning scoreless. That would be a huge life if you get out of this inning without giving up a run. This wild thing routine with Neal need to be over. He either walks people or he does this. Look before you throw Neal. Or get the goggles that Vaugn had. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 07:16 PM) I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I really would like to see Crede try a new load mechanism for his entire swing. He just doesn't get the bat through the zone quick enough on a consistent basis. A new timing mechanism, like what guys like Sosa have, could work to speed up his swing. The sad thing is, this is a new load mechanism this year. Its just a poor one. Last year his swing has a big hitch in it. If someone was stupid and threw him a curve that dropped down and in, he murdered it. But fastballs he would drop down a bit and undercut it. This year his bat is a bit faster. But now he is introducing another delay in his swing with the bat resting on his shoulder. I figure its a way Walk has of him having proper hitting position before he generates his swing. If you look right before he swings his elbow is up, he looks good. If he just had his hands in the right position without resting his bat, he would be on the ball and hitting all over. -

Dear Mr. Crede, Please learn from Mr. Olivo in 2003. Resting your bat on your shoulder only to lift it right before the pitcher starts his motion doesnt help your swing. If your bat is so heavy, please see the equipment manager for a lighter bat.
