  1. Hafner gets confused by Cotts and the pitch right down the middle. K's
  2. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) Mr Cotts has a very sneaky delivery and all. But he needs to look where he throws the ball. Maybe he wont get in as many deep counts. That and better changeup and he would be a lot better.
  3. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) More like Konerko Crede'd Hopefully Cotts has a better year this year. Instead of being the lefty version of Mike Jackson.
  4. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 02:00 PM) Ughhh, Paulie pops up. Inning over. Everyone keeps dropping that back shoulder trying to get lift. Sometimes a line drive is better than going for the game winner. Its not the 9th inning.
  5. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:59 PM) 3-1 count to Paulie... And INSERT YOUR WHITESOX PLAYER HERE pops it up!!!!
  6. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) Carl's gonna get a hold of one... He got on for Kong. Lets get a nice easy line drive or go for the dong!!!!
  7. QUOTE(BDavisFutureHOF @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:52 PM) Come on Hot Carl! Katy?
  8. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) Gooooooooch Nice swing by the Gooch. Duck on, lets get him in.
  9. Here is question. During spring training Pods was hitting nice line drives, htting the ball the other way. Now he is going for lift. Move the freaking fences back and it wont allure the amatures from trying to jack the ball all the time. Konerko and the big boys will still be able to hit the ball out.
  10. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:46 PM) How much longer does he get before the Sox cut their losses on him? The funny thing is that his agent is Boras. Boras will probably want 6 mill a year for him.
  11. QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) Greg Walker said to ignore Crede's first 200-300 at-bats. He's still getting used to his awesome new swing. Last year he had 500 AB's. Maybe he was getting prepared to learn the new awsome swing.
  12. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:43 PM) The whole lineup :puke Crede has my vote for pick to stink for the game. A few nice lazy pop ups. Boots the ball, and then now cant throw the ball. Now of course he will have the game winning homerun to prove me wrong
  13. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) Crede :puke The swing still looks a bit long.
  14. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) I don't see much difference between "criticism as a fan which we can do and just b****ing to b****" at this point. Well we could drink some beers and talk about our world series rotation like cub fans. I rather deal with the criticism.
  15. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:25 PM) I agree. It's much too early to be pushing any panic buttons. There is a difference between criticism as a fan which we can do and just b****ing to b****. Saying their is something wrong with our offense right now is ok, saying its the end of the season or that ozzie's smallball is bad is reaching.
  16. QUOTE(mreye @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:19 PM) Oh ppuhlease! All the negativity through 3 1/2 innings is old already! We are in mid season form already!!!!!!!!
  17. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 01:18 PM) this whole ozzie ball isn't cutting it so far through 12 innings...so much for Kevin Millwood being overrated, huh guys?? This is not Ozzieball. Crede popping up. Guys GIDP is more like last years offense redux. Corpseball 2005!!!!
  18. Kong gets a nice hit. He and AJ have the heartbeat today.
  19. Farmio :puke I forgot how much this guy likes the sound of his own voice. Rooney can barely get a word in while Mr. Purple shirt is goiing on and on. Farmio reminds me of a 90 year old lady mumbling about her aches and pains.
  20. QUOTE(hi8is @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 04:59 PM) Sheriff Joe had him in the tent city wearing pink and eating bologna sandwiches.
  21. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) You should also remember his start against Seattle where he pitched fantastic last year. I was at the game in Peoria. Its the same story. He has an explosive fastball. But the minute he gets a few men on base he starts to get tight around the color. Then its slow pitch after slow pitch and he loads the bases up. His fastball on Sunday was great. The first few innings he was getting ahead of them with that. Then he fell into the old game of splitter, splitter, splitter and it hurt him. My question is simple. Tell Contreras he is not allowed to shake a sign off. That will end the dilemma. He has to throw what the catcher puts down. Stop letting this guy make any decisions and it will be better. Just a thought. Also LTP did not look at all to be hustling. There was a ball hit out to him and he slowly jogged over and then soft tossed it in. If that was crash the ball would of been flying in to home to get the runner. Konerko looked solid. Gooch also.
  22. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) He forgets that we also got Luis Vizcaino in the Lee trade. Also, apparently to Sheehan, Rowand just had a career year last season (I guess he hasn't looked at any Spring Training stats). Buehrle and Garcia are #3's? What a pile of crap. And here's the best part... Someone needs to get off the Twins' nuts. :headshake More opinion and speculation from people who think Sabermetrics are the only form of measure in baseball. On paper things can look one way, in the field is where its played however. His analysis of Aaron Rowand is true to this, he makes speculation that last year was a career year. Aaron looked pretty good to me, nice compact swing and he has been hitting the ball not only with power but to all fields. A true scout would see this and say he projects to have a good year. Now BP runs his last 4 years though a formula that a math geek came up with(who never played baseball) and states that last year is the anomaly. BP is junk pure and simple.
  23. Dont worry this turd of a reporter will be swearing how he predicted that the sox would be the team to beat come August if we are in first. These are almost getting comical. Another Moronic prediction 3. White Sox It's been another unfocused and generally harmful off-season for GM Kenny Williams. They achieved a nifty upgrade with the A.J. Pierzynski signing, but the Carlos Lee trade will be a low-grade disaster. Jermaine Dye was not a sage addition, and the small-ball tactics of manager Ozzie Guillen will hurt the offensive attack. The rotation is a potential strength in terms of its one-through-five depth, but there's little else to get excited about. Frank Thomas' health concerns are another source of concern. Another garden-variety 82-win season is probably in the offing. They're the quintessence of a third-place club without a real prayer of winning the division.
  24. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 05:29 PM) Believe it or not, some don't share the same man-crush for Mackowiak you seem to possess. He's nothing to write home about. I, on the other hand, have wanted Mackowiak for two years now. He'd be an excellent piece of the puzzle. I really think he'd contribute. Plus, he grew up a die-hard Sox fan. He'd love to play here. Well with Hizzle My Shizzle Willie Harris showing he can play 2b, SS, and CF he can be the super utility guy. He is perfect for this job. Our main area of concern is 3b. Yes we can ship Uribe over, but this is a bandaid and not a solution. Fields is too far away, so we need a viable backup, a lefty that could platoon and take some of the right handers would be great. For all of the work that Crede has done his swing still looks very very long. I would love to see Crede hit about 260 but I think his brain is getting in the way of his natural ability. And btw for all those who dont want Mackowiak who is your pick for backup 3rd baseman, and if you say Burke you might as well just say no d'fence at the corner.
