100%, the anti-Adam Engel. He's so damn young, as long as the work ethic is there, he'll get better with the glove. They also mentioned he was working with Adrian Beltre on his technique, definitely a good guy to learn from.
The whole thing is kinda fishy. I feel like DJ loses like 75% of his value if you're not playing him at 2B. He's a rockstar with the glove there, his bat isn't what you're really paying for. I dunno, if you needed someone to play a utility role, why not just go out and get Marwin Gonzalez?
After the season Frazier had I wouldn't bet on him being everyday. It gives them a lot of options though. Especially if Pete Alonso struggles in the show.
I think a lot of us thought he was gonna be our Jeter or something ridiculous like that. Probably correct on coming up too early, he hadn't had the time to hone his approach.
