  1. Something that has to do with Tyler Flowers, so when we trade him in a week's time you can make this thread again.
  2. Either one would be a good addition.
  3. $50 says Yankee fans are suggesting a Gardner/Beckham swap.
  4. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Dec 9, 2009 -> 05:01 PM) Ryan Church got DFA'd by Atlanta. By the numbers he's a really good RF defensively, just saying... Would have been an interesting option if we hadn't signed Andruw or resigned Kotsay.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 10, 2009 -> 07:11 PM) A lot of times, the Angels like to bargain hunt. They got Abreu for like $5-7 mill last year because literally no one else wanted him. There was a report that came out that the Sox were willing to offer him $8 mill on a one year deal, but they couldn't offer it to him because there was no where for him to play (putting two and two together, the plan was to deal Dye to Cinci for Bailey and then sign Abreu, but Cinci backed out because, well, it didn't make sense for them to trade a prospect with upside for a player on the downside of his career with 1 expensive year left). If it comes down to the Sox and Angels, he'll be in Chicago without a doubt in my mind. What makes you say that? Hang on, let me clear my throat... cough TORII HUNTER cough
  6. .345 OBP, 26 SBs in basically half a season? Sounds alright to me.
  7. He's no worse then Fukudome in center. And from Milton Bradley to Fukudome in right is an upgrade so really, better outfield defensively then '09
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 10, 2009 -> 03:50 PM) Yeah, but the Sox have Alex Rios to play CF so Pods has no place in the outfield. You know what, I was actually commenting on the Cubs outfield. No idea why I didn't say Cubs in my post.
  9. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Dec 10, 2009 -> 02:50 PM) Levine said the Cubs are considering Pods for CF... good luck with that. I know Wrigley is an easy CF, but they do play 81 other games on the road and he's not a very good fielder. The funny thing about that is putting Pods and his rancid defensive ability in center would IMPROVE their outfield defense from last year.
  10. QUOTE (G&T @ Dec 9, 2009 -> 02:24 PM) I think he wants 2 yrs, $15M. I can't remember where I heard that. I've read the $7M/per number in a couple places so that sounds about right. He needs to put down the pretty glass pipe though. If he gets a dime over 4 a year I'll be shocked.
  11. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 8, 2009 -> 05:10 PM) Do you think that Indy could be considered for a MLB team? The Indianapolis Pirates?
  12. What do we wanna do with this guy? He's a Putz!
  13. QUOTE (chisox2334 @ Dec 7, 2009 -> 09:07 AM) i dont get whats problem here. im sorry to say but everyone's goal on a team is to start. Totally agree. I appreciate the motivation on his part.
  14. Dodgers pay for half the difference I wouldn't mind it.
  15. Ichiro and Figgins, holy speed and runs batman! They get a bopper to hit behind them and it's gonna be an interesting year in Seattle.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 4, 2009 -> 03:45 PM) Because SoxNet isn't sponsored by ESPN. Speaking of ESPN, their White Sox depth chart is absolute bull****. http://espn.go.com/mlb/teams/depth?team=chw Edit: Man, Wise is still on there. I think they just get lazy during the offseason.
  17. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_leagu...?urn=mlb,206780 Our beloved Andruw is on there.
  18. The real question is will a bunch of us bring back the pantomime boat rowing?
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 3, 2009 -> 03:39 PM) http://www.sporcle.com//games/smoggy14/startersunder3 I got 83. How 'bout you? 68
  20. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 3, 2009 -> 03:37 PM) Other than the fact that his name is Angel Pagan, which is hilarious if you think about it for a second... I don't like it. My wife works with a dude named Jesus Pagan.
