  1. QUOTE (tommy @ Jan 5, 2009 -> 10:03 PM) Can you point me to where I can get such a set? http://www.amazon.com/Chicago-White-Sox-Wo...9510&sr=8-1
  2. QUOTE (JoeBatterz @ Jan 4, 2009 -> 11:34 AM) My channel 410 is the Metal Music Channel. MLB is 279 on my box. When I go to it, it is a blank screen with a pop-up screen that says unauthorized. Keep in mind that I am in Nashville though and the channels are listed differently than in Chicago. I emailed Comcast, but I am not holding my breath. If we have any more Sox fans in Middle Tennessee who can weigh in on this, I would appreciate it. What cable package to you have? I was told by Comcast that it's only offered to people who have the digital classic package.
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 07:14 PM) Hey. I can critique their mediocrity if I want. If you're starting a network with 50 million subscribers, put your best foot forward. Don't be replaying the same 2 shows for 24 hours straight. Agreed... I watched the countdown to the network and at 5 before their first show (Hot Stove), Selig was on and he mentioned they have over 150,000 hours of coverage in their archives. You'd think they'd want to show more then the same 2 things for their first 24 hours.
  4. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 11:23 PM) This was all about getting rid of Marquis for the Cubs and Viscaino is somewhat serviceable so bully for them. As for the Rockies... where's the motivation? I'm going to assume the Cubs are picking up a large part of Marquis contract so who knows, he might be able to give then some innings for cheap. Vizcaino was pretty crappy last season too.
  5. Does anyone know if it's gonna be on again? I missed it and checked CSN for the next week or so and they're showing the Bears and Cubs ones a few times but not the Sox. LAME!
  6. I find it kinda odd that Dish isn't going to carry it. I dunno if anyone watched the extended promo for the channel with Harold Reynolds but they're touting this as being the first time in the the history of cable that a channel is being launched to 50 million homes.
  7. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 02:30 PM) wow. has the yankee payroll hit 300 mill/season yet? Actually isn't their projected payroll still lower or close to what it was last season?

  9. Anyone who has the Comcast Digital Preferred package, they're discontinuing/merging it with Digital Classic. MLB Netwok for me, BOOYAH!
  10. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 20, 2008 -> 08:27 PM) They need to remove NFL network from the Sports package and put it on Digital Classic. That's actually why I was hoping the "Sports Entertainment" package would have been where they'd put the MLB Network. It's like NFL, NBA TV, NHL Network, CBS College Sports and all the Fox Sports affiliates for $7.99/month. That woulda been sweet.
  11. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 20, 2008 -> 03:08 PM) That's exactly my question as well. My feeling is that they will add it to the package and then us poor people will never see it. I emailed Comcast. It's going to be part of the "Digital Classic" package. I'm still trying to figure out what the difference is in channels from Preferred (which I have) to Classic. Their channel lineup on the website is exactly identical. I really really want to get this.
  12. Does anyone know what this station is gonna cost for Comcast subscribers? Are they gonna add it to the "Sports Entertainment" package they have? NFL Network, NBA TV and NHL Network are included in that package so I would think they'd add it to that but it doesn't really say on their website.
  13. Am I crazy or should a first baseman never get a deal like this?
  14. Hell, Kenny dealt him Vazquez, let's see if Wren is saying that at the end of spring training.
  15. It's on the air on Comcast right now. Of course, they've got a show on about the Red Sox and Yankees.
  16. Gotta feel bad for the guy. Not only could he not find another job in TV but he's now gotta work with Farmer.
  17. I wouldn't be opposed to having him play in any of those three spots as long as we have a real leadoff hitter in the lineup.
  18. Man, they really are tearing dudes from us
  19. This moderator is boring, he needs to channel his inner Bob Barker.
  20. oooh, we're picking! EDIT: NEVER-f***ING-MIND!
