  1. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 06:40 PM) "What language do they speak in What?" "Look at the big brain on Brett!"
  2. They forgot to mention the magic beans that the Twins need to buy.
  3. My money is on PCP, angel dust... you ever seen what that stuff does to kids?
  4. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 06:43 PM) "i'm baaaaack" Do you think Eric LaSalle sold him some "Soul Glo"???
  5. Tampa Bay Ray... sounds like a washed up boxer.
  6. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 01:44 PM) And here I thought Rotoworld would finally publish the rumor that Ron Santo, in order to pad his stats for the HOF, would be playing 3B for the Cubs on opening day. I would have preferred: Ron Santo - 3B - Cubs A kid stole his Blazer - Jan 18 - 11:36 pm et
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 04:15 PM) When the Packers draft Jason Avant WTF will you do? Probably laugh because they have far more important positions (basically an entire defense) to fill. Also need a lot of help on the O-line.
  8. Any sport in Vegas would be a money-making machine. It'll be good for all sports to get in on it. I would definitely head on over to Vegas for a series, hopefully it'll be an AL team there.
  9. Even though Leifer never was any good, I've always been somewhat of a fan of his. Perhaps he can become the next Tuffy Rhodes in Japan?
  10. My brother, who's a Cub fan, used to call him Ron"DL" White when he played on the North Side. When healthy (which is almost never), he's a solid bat.
  11. Does anyone else find it hilarious that they have a Jacques and a Pierre in the outfield?
  12. Isn't Izturis slated to miss half the season? And what purpose would he serve on the current White Sox? I could see Garland being moved to LA, just don't know why Izturis should be involved.
  13. Lowe, Mueller, Grady Little and now Nomar. They're surely becoming the Red Sox of the West Coast.
  14. What a ridiculous contract. He's had a pretty solid career, but his numbers from last year (3.94 ERA and 1.47 WHIP) are really similar to that of Luis Vizcaino, who is far from getting 4-plus million a year, or at least deserving of such money.
  15. I'm not going to get into the main topic of the article, but why did he give the Indians a "B"? They lost (or are about to lost) their best pitcher, replaced Elarton with Byrd (which is a push in my opinion) and they signed LOU MERLONI!?
  16. QUOTE(Felix @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 07:28 PM) Zito is rumored to be headed to Chicago.. but not the south side. Supposedly, according to Phil Rogers on the Score, Zito and Mench are headed to the Cubs, while the Rangers are getting Kerry Wood, Todd Walker, and cash, and the Athletics are getting Soriano and prospects. A friend of mine told me this, but I didn't hear it for myself, hence the "supposedly" We can shoot down that rumor rather quickly based on the simple reasoning that Hendry wouldn't do that trade, it makes the Flubbies better.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 01:51 AM) I think the American team could muster some better starting pitching than Mark Mulder and Mark Prior personally. Totally agree with that, but like it said, they'll probably give preference to them due to the fact that they've performed in international games like this (Olympics). I'd love to see Buehrle on that team though. Well, if it doesn't kill his arm before the season.
  18. I may actually go to a Cubs/Sox game this year just so I can chant "FASTBALL! FASTBALL! FASTBALL!" whenever Bobby begins to warm up.
  19. I dunno, can Konerko feed his child on 60 million? Perhaps he'll go to the welfare line next to Latrell Sprewell.
  20. Hawkins, Borowski, Farnsworth (at least with the Cubs), now Eyre and Howry, man... Hendry's got quite an eye for relievers!
  21. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 09:38 AM) I think him and Isiah Thomas go to the same GM school. I think the only difference there is Omar actually got some high priced "talent" with this deal, something Thomas doesn't do.
  22. If we had two good arms in the other corner outfield positions I'd say yes, we'll be just fine with Pods in CF.
  23. I think really it boils down to what type of player I was in this fictional world. If I were an all-star caliber player like an ARod or perhaps a Konerko, I'd go wherever I felt most confortable. If I could get 30-40 million from Chicago, more then enough money for myself and my kids (fictional kids that is) to live confortably for the rest of our lives, I'd take it over 60 million. But, if I were a type of player that was utility or the type of player that was never going to "break the bank", I'd go for the money because who knows how long I'll be able to collect a paycheck playing baseball.
