  3. Paulie ! Thome ! Crede ! The mf'in bullpen besides Jenks . Dotel ! oops someone fix the title. I can't type.
  4. I just wanted to say that this thread is one of the best this year . Watching Alexei has been so much fun lately and Cubano you should be working for the Sox in an advisory capacity. I think you should email Kenny Williams the link to this thread. Oh and Cuban woman are some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. !
  5. Tha battle of the admin's. Drama ! Intrigue ! Suspense ! Madness !
  6. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 27, 2008 -> 04:53 PM) Dang, time for a double steal. Damn it ,woulda , shoulda, coulda.
  7. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ May 27, 2008 -> 04:42 PM) Chatroom open: http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?autocom=chat We need people in here to watch the game because at 7 I'm tuning over to A&E for the conclusion of Andromeda Strain. No you're not !
  8. 1 little , 2 little , 3 little Indians, 4 little 5 little .......
  9. Outside of the mainstream ( drugs and surgery) there's another method to actually heal musculoskeletal injuries called prolotherapy. It's not a bad option. It might even be able to help with his chronic hip problem.
  10. If you didn't notice , that thing is just a report on the games played today. If you throw out the 12th inning it probably goes down to a C or C- overall instead of the B+.
  11. QUOTE (sweatpants @ May 26, 2008 -> 09:05 PM) Even the Steve Stone was extremely puzzled by that move and I would take Stone's logic over Ozzie's any day of the week. With two anemic offenses the Sox could have run out of pitchers in a hurry. Luckily it worked. FWIW, Linebrink has been ansolutely filthy, hitters weren't even close to his stuff today. Seems like he hit a new gear in the last two weeks. Like I said when it works its good managing. Maybe Ozzie was thinking, "If we can't score off of Clevelands miserable bullpen in the next few innings we deserve to lose."
  12. OC 4 hits, AJ 3, CQ 2 . Thome HR and 2 ribbies. Dye real nice catch in right , PK showing signs of life with long fly balls, Swish leadoff hit to start 12th, Alexei with the nice hit to right after faking the bunt, Anderson going oppo for the double RBI, Linebrink, Dotel, Masset, Thornton, Logan and Jenks with 6 scoreless innings, Jenks 100th career save !!!!!! Definitely a team victory. Everyone contributed something. Oops forgot Javy hangin' tough when it looked like he was going to get bombed early.
  13. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 26, 2008 -> 08:22 PM) Mainly pulling Masset, not sure why he would put him in when he wouldn' let him pitch an inning. A few minor things as well (not running for Crede) At the time I was thinking " hmmm kind of a short stint for your long man" since the game was in extra innings and you never know how long a game can go. But you can't really consider it bad managing when everything worked out for the best. How do you know if he had left Masset in Cleveland wouldn't have scored off of him ? Bullpen pitched 6 innings and gave up zip. Can't complain about that at all.
  14. As my name says raised at 72nd and Wood on the SW side, then Oak Lawn during HS years now sunny southern Cal.
  15. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 25, 2008 -> 06:30 PM) It's a little early to be calling people out for that one. He's only 1/12 of the way into his 4 year deal. One thing's for sure though; his stuff is much much much better this season than it was last year with Milwaukee and San Diego. Coop fixed him .
  16. QUOTE (stretchstretch @ May 25, 2008 -> 06:51 PM) Did anyone hear Joe Morgan call him "QUENTANA" there at the end???? I heard it. There was a guy named Carlos Quintana I believe who played for the Red Sox , 1st baseman, I think in the 80's or early 90's. The decades blend together when you're old .
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 25, 2008 -> 06:40 PM) Most of those people were on Ozzie's coaching staff and not Soxtalk. In fact, I remember most everyone being downright excited over the Quentin acquisition, much like most of Soxtalk was exstatic over a minor acquisition made by Kenny before the start of the 05 season (Bobby Jenks being claimed off waivers). Sox talk always seems generally excited over 2 things, young power pitchers and young power hitters. When we got Aardsma, Sisco and whoever else KW got for the 06 pen this place was loving it. I remember making a post about experience and the wildness of unproven youth and was pretty much flamed. Gotta love CQ though. He seems like the real deal.
