  1. Time for a Rally Moncada. Couldn't hurt . He needs to find IT !
  2. It was always predetermined when Sheets hit a road HR followed by LH Grandal and Moncada HR's . In before you last week. Put money on the Sox taking the division ! Disclosure: No way in hell I'd do that but should get good odds .
  3. Very tall order . Doubt many staffs have had 3 consecutive games like that all year. My advice? Get an early lead and hit HR's.
  4. I'm glad you're impartial in your assessment because many aren't. He's getting a little old to think he could be better than what he is now but if he could hit on the road like he has at home everyone would love his bat. But somehow in some way the same person can be a stud in one venue and a dude in anything other than his home field. I know splits can often be slanted at home for many players but the difference between his home and road splits are mind boggling.
  5. Almost the same as his stats post ASB. Like most MLB players with some amount of talent after a bad 1st half they do better in the 2nd half when healthy. More than likely has nothing to do with TLR if you're intent was to show causation. Can't say the same thing about the whole team since the results speak for themselves but we knew long before Cairo took over TLR was a terrible choice from the start. But I'm not convinced he won't be back Hopefully JR can figure this out on his own, but if Hahn is fired instead ,JR may just bring in a yes man GM who'll agree to keep TLR as manager next year. Splits aren't good in season any way for defense. They always need time to get a true sample. You'd think you would know that by now. I was screaming bloody murder about Vaughn's ability to play the OF last year and you were one of those who kept insisting he was fine in LF. I was was yelling he's too damn slow and is going to get slower. Just like the many who insisted the Sox know best about Rodon's health when not extending the QO. Now that he's been healthy the whole year I truly hope that thread or multiple threads about it gets pulled up for off season entertainment.
  6. Doesn't matter they can't help now when they need the help. Maybe Colas can play well next yr. but what is that 50/50? Same for Davis Martin. Sosa who knows, Romy same. Can Moncada, Grandal and Giolito get better more question mark. Can Eloy stay healthy ? Lynn is getting older, Pollock is an albatross. God only knows how the relief pitching fares from year to year. Is Anderson's life interfering with his baseball ? Can Kopech advance like Cease. Whats the plan for Crochet ? How in the world can the Sox shed money and get better in all those area they have to get better ?
  7. What would you call broken if not when you are supposed to be playing championship caliber ball, as promised by Hahn ,while playing .500 baseball for a year, while smack dab in the middle or even past the middle now of a championship window ? I don't see any championships coming do you ? Way too many things wrong with this team. I don't know how old Houston's team is but how long have they been in their championship window 6 or 7 years now ? What is their average age compared to the Sox while kicking ass for 6 years or so ? The Sox are old, can't play defense , can't hit, the core is all injury prone or flaming out. They're playing 1st basemen in the OF and their best most consistent guy, who plays all the time and is never injured, is the one they almost have to say goodbye to just to start to fix this mess because oh, yea they're maxed out on payroll too for a .500 team. Plus they didn't even want a draft pick for Rodon when they can barely field a pitcher staff at AAA. And they thought signing an injured relief pitcher was more important than signing Rodon. Screwed up the whole Kimbrel situation by repeatedly getting older, more RH, and wasting money ,never got more LH position players, just got older and older and spent a fortune on relief pitching, while also deciding they didn't need real or LH outfielders. Oh one more thing they sure don't like to have good minor league players either, especially pitchers.
  8. I was just fucking with you. Look at it this way u got 5 emoji points for your sob story. I'm always looking at stats so I just thought it was pretty common knowledge that Moncada and Grandal have really sucked at hitting period and even worse LH since that's where they get the majority of their AB's.
  9. You do know you're on this thing called the internet that has all kinds of information available don't you ? Splits are available on any number of websites.
  10. 5 iron ? I don't golf so I wouldn't know the correct club .
  11. I wonder how many years we are going to hear this though. I know he's 25 and it's still possible for him to play many healthy seasons, but I would take bets against him hitting 40 in any year.
  12. LOL So 10 out of 12 isn't an insane heater ? They sweep the DH with the twins and its 11 of 13.
  13. Sheets is terrible on the road. And terrible against LHP. Was the right move. The game is likely won or lost before Sheets spot in the order comes up again.
