  1. What other MLB team would put 7 RHH against Castillo ? LHH is always the Sox Achilles heal through out their history.
  2. Other teams don't seem to have a problem bringing up players for the stretch run. Particularly Atlanta. 21 year old Vaughn Grissom, 11th round pick, straight from AA has already contributed a 150 wRC+ in 25 games .I trust their front office more than the Sox because they have shown winning is important to them. It's not always about trade value and the extra year. Tall task , miracle is all just semantics when the Sox can't get out of their own way and hover around .500 no matter what they do. You can keep waiting for Robert, Kopech, Anderson, and Eloy to fulfill their promise while they remain injured and unavailable. Performance and health dictate trade value more than an extra year when it comes to White Sox players. You can also keep watching and waiting for the tall task with the worst OF defense possible and a total lack of LHH to face all the RHP they constantly face. It's not as cut and dried as you think it is and don't you feel just a little bit ashamed because you actually agree with Sox management when they have shown they don't care about upgrading the team with anything but relief pitchers ? Where are our left handed hitters for the last 3 trade periods in the middle of a supposed contention window ?
  3. Might be easier to take care of their own business if they could hit and field the ball better in the OF with a young guy who bats LH, hits for power, can hit LH and RH pitching and field his position better than Sheets or Vaughn and probably better than Pollock in CF too all while Robert can't play. You're asking for a miracle while not willing to take the chance that their is a possible miracle available who you don't want to see on the team for the stretch run.
  4. Free Colas ! If you want the Sox to win the division then this is the only logical choice for you unless you love seeing Pollock in CF and Vaughn and Sheets in the OF and the Sox continually scoring 3 or less runs per game and playing the worst OF defensively possible.
  5. That was a nasty pitch and Jose did a great job extending the AB laying off the previous sliders.
  6. And that's exactly what I have a hard time with anyone saying Colas shouldn't be up. How does Payton or Haseley help the Sox when Colas has shown ability to hit both RH and LH pitching , has a gun for an arm and fields better than any of those guys ?
  7. They should worry more about winning a winnable division. Could be they just want to show Colas who's boss after him mouthing off about being a slave. I know it sounds petty but it is the Sox.
  8. Available for a month straight would be a sign of life along with hitting well. But with Seby still hitting well and getting on base enough it doesn't bother me when Grandal is out.
  9. Doesn't someone have to play a month straight in order to qualify for that kind of statement ?
  10. But OMG you have to add him to the 40 and you might need him in 2028 when the Sox are fighting for last place.
  11. And he just flat out doesn't catch a lot of them when no one is on base. Every time it happened you see him bend his glove afterwards.
  12. Among players on the Sox with over 250 PA Sheets is barely behind Grandal in P/PA 4.14 to 4.13. Hasn't translated into a lot of walks though.
  13. But at some point you are what you have been whether it's a bunch of injuries or declining performance.
