  1. I know . It was a comment about chw42 making a bot to replace you. That's what the bot would say !
  2. If Pollock hit's a HR Flavum and sin city sox fan will both be right !
  3. Maybe explode for 2 with a couple of singles a HBP , a wild pitch and a balk.
  4. It still don't get it and get the desire to not make the current team as good as possible . White Sox baseball has been a travesty for over 100 years . It's all well and good to preach competence in other areas of team building (and Lord knows I have been preaching that forever) but what makes anyone ( like you) think that will happen when it's never happened ? Adding talent on the field is all we got. The behind the scenes talent and spending the money to acquire it has never happened in the history of the organization, otherwise it would have shown up on the field . You expecting some grand turn over in leadership who will spend behind the scenes on top talent is what's foolish. I'll take the present , you can continue to hope for what has never happened with the White Sox in team history.
  5. Colas ground rule double to LF 1st AB
  6. He'll have a lot of time to think about it when the offers start coming in and maybe the Sox make some changes. I doubt anyone gives him a 2 yr. contract . He's too old and his track record over the past 5 years isn't good enough. The team that pays the most for 1 year will get him. This is the highest innings pitched for him since 2017 and his best year since 2016 when he was 30. That's a lot of years in between then and now where he wasn't so great.
  7. Oh well Colas will be up then and Guardians will be sorry ! Colas will destroy the Guards.
  8. Sox have 1 HR in their last 57 innings played starting from the 4th inning of the 8/14 game . That's 1 HR (Moncada in the 21-5 game) in the last 6.5 games
  9. I said he had 17 HR's what more do you want ? Contact hitter meaning his K rate is very low. You can still be a contact hitter and hit HR's. I didn't say weak contact did I ? He knows how to hit when he has 2 strikes on him at least against minor league pitching. I suspect he'll be K'ing more up here. But it's a positive thing in general that he makes contact.
  10. After a year like he's had plenty of other teams will be willing to take a chance on him for that kind of production for $10M or whatever he'll get.
  11. LOL no problem. I tried to do it as fast as I could once i saw the replies were at 499 knowing full well someone might beat me to it.
  12. On the positive side their record is pretty damn good in games in which the final score involves one team scoring 5 or less runs while the other team also scores 4 or less runs. I think they have something like 35 wins and 20 losses in those types of games.
  13. Carlos Perez will be 26 years old Sept 10th. His slash line is .259 .317 .448 .765 with 17 HR's. He is a contact hitter who has 25 walks and only 32 K's in 385 PA this season in Charlotte.
  14. I'm just saying nothing to get the 500th reply in the thread. Edit: well shit @hankchifan barely beat me to it. So 501
  15. Props to Elvis Andrus for stealing 3rd in that same inning and then scoring when the Guardians failed to cut the ball off on a shallow FB to RF and the throw home one hopped and knocked the catcher's mask off and rolled about 8 feet away in foul territory along the 1st base line to score the White Sox 2nd run in the 2-0 victory.
  16. Cueto goes 8.2 innings and Liam Hendricks get the save as the Sox cut the Guardians lead in the Central to 2.5 games. Looks like Grandal seriously hurt his knee trying to score from 2nd on a no out single by newcomer Elvis Andrus. Grandal should 've been pinch ran for once when he led off the inning with a single or when he reached 2nd on a wild pitch with the Sox clinging to a 1-0 lead at the time in the top of the 7th inning. The injury is squarely on TLR and McEwing for sending him home with no outs where he tried to avoid a tag and his knee buckled . But he was out by a mile.
