  1. I did mention Stowers in another post on Santander and they do also have a nice group of on the horizon Of'er as you mentioned.
  2. 2nd half rebounds from Eloy, Moncada, Pollock ,and Grandal. Add a few LH pieces on the pitching staff and in the lineup among others, Santander, Wendle, Happ, Gallo, Colas, Matt Moore, Quintana, Martin Perez, Andrew Chafin, Joe Mantiply, Gregory Soto, Steven Okert. Lynn gets better the more he pitches.
  3. Another big slugger for RF is the SH Anthony Santander who crushes RHP , 158 wRC+. He doesn't fit the Orioles style because he's a hack in RF though he does have a nice arm. He does lead the Orioles in just about every offensive category but they have a guy waiting in the wings to take over RF. Santander isn't a FA til 2025 . I've been mentioning him for about a year. If you are going to run Gavin Sheets out there every day, Santander is a big upgrade. Orioles probably would ask a lot because of the fine year he is having but ultimately they probably want to dump him because of his defense. Only 1.3 fWar despite some good offensive numbers. He does play the OF though nearly every day. (11 games as DH) so right now he is still worth more to other teams as an OF than he will be to the Orioles as a future DH.
  4. One guy could've been on the list. There is talk from the fans and media that Anthony Santander might be available. The orioles have a prospect Kyle Stowers waiting for Santander to step aside. He leads the Orioles in just about every offensive category and he would be on top of your list with a 158 wRC+ against RHP. Despite all that he's just a bad RF and can only manage a 1.3 fWar despite all the offensive heroics. He's also not a free agent til 2025. But if you can going to keep throwing Sheets out there in RF then Santander is a big upgrade.
  5. Since neither is traded yet and hardly anyone else for that matter, not much excitement about many offers apparently.
  6. One guy I have overlooked the whole time because he's RH is Brandon Drury. He's 6-2, 230, 29 (almost 30) was never much of a player, showed some signs last year with the Mets, but exploded this year with the Reds. 2.7 fWar playing mostly 3rd base and 2nd base and 1inning in RF. He's got 20 HR's and he'll be a FA next year. Sox do need power desperately and he may have the most of who is available beside Juan Soto. He also has positive defensive numbers at 3rd. Hard to tell at 2nd base , doesn't look terrible but he is a big man . Basically his whole 8 year career resulted in negative fWar on offense and defense. Something clicked this year. He's walking more, K'ing less , .249 ISO, 133 wRC+ He's more of a lefty killer than a RH killer which is why I've ignored him. But you can't ignore the pop in his bat. 181wRC+ vs LHP , 115 vs RHP.
  7. That was feisty. Almost sounding just like me. Only I make sure to bring up Jerry most of the time I mention Hahn. Jerry is the Dungeon Master and Hahn has a dog bowl in a cage.
  8. That's because Robert is a threat all over, Offense defense and on the bases and racks up fWar when he does play. The only time Eloy is useful is when he hits. The rest of the time people think he's going to run over Robert and trip over a base and miss another 6 months.
  9. It's just so rare we see that guy ,2 years and every time he runs in the OF and on the bases you think he's going to pull up lame. And I'm the guy who wanted Rodon back and didnt care about how everyone else felt about what the Sox thought they knew about his medicals. The Sox never counted on Rodon to be a significant part of the core but it's the core guys who have always been hurt that have not turned into what we thought they would to make the Sox a great team .Specifically Eloy and Moncada have been huge disappointments.
  10. We also keep talking about Moncada's 4 War season.Maybe we need that Moncada to show himself and 2020 Eloy and 2021 Grandal, Gio and Lynn. 2021 Pollock would be nice too. Just blame the ball I suppose, Covid, CBA, sticky stuff, JR/LaRussa, the baseball , Rick Hahn's Craig Kimbrel disaster and the Off season from hell.
  11. I think the prime of your career is determined by the years you do best, that place where your physical ability meshes with your understanding of the game and your health.
  12. The Sox need to be more Hispanic in every way in the departments .Notice how our Relief pitcher acquisitions are all white. Hendriks, Graveman, Kelly, Kimbrel. Dispute this or add to it if you can. Look at the Astros good starting pitchers who have risen up.
  13. Boring day trade -wise. I'm not sure Morosi is right. He's just guessing like anyone else about who pulls the trigger. Lots of talking doesn't always = lots of trades.
  14. 9th is where the Sox hitters have the best batting average in MLB for guys batting 9th for some strange reason. Want to fix a slumping player on the Sox ? Bat him 9th !
  15. Those are my close low scoring game stats I invented. Anyteam that wins scoring 5 or less runs they are 30-17 and going for 31-17
  16. Going for the hockey score win today which would increase the Sox record in those games to 31-17
  17. High fastball and low and away sliders are deaths to a lot of hitters
  18. No idea. Seattle might trade him for someone big soon as part of a package.
  19. Same with Kelenic. Terrible on curveballs. He would be a nice buy low guy although he still is crushing AAA . Maybe he gets over the hump some day on MLB breaking pitches.
