  1. The whole division is now below .500 . Sox now 2.5 out of 1st.
  2. Burger 2 run shot, Moncada And Robert solo shots and Eloy with the go ahead 2 run bomb for the deciding run ! Kelly, Lopez and Graveman 3 scoreless innings.
  3. Looks like he got the out at 2nd, Was dragging his toe along the edge of the base.
  4. Actually the last 15 Games TA is hitting .305 but just a lot of singles.?
  5. What I feel has come and gone before No need to talk it out We know what it's all about
  6. Me neither and frankly 2 WAR this season is quite a stretch , maybe 1.0 is also.
  7. Sox 20-14 since the 10 game losing streak playing mostly lousy teams but it's a start. SO naturally some Quebec wild fires are destroying the air quality all over the northeast US and further west.
  8. It doesn't have to be Moncada. Burger has as much fWAR as Vaughn, Sheets, Moncada and Eloy combined so his defense at 3rd has not substantially subtracted from his hitting . It probably would eventually but Burger likes DH unlike Eloy .All four of those guys played yesterday. Eloy and Sheets combined to hit into 3 DP's. I understand that Eloy can be the most productive hitter but he has to get his bat going. Moncada could've had a 2nd hit yesterday. A lot of hitters would've beat out the one that he dogged it on. Eloy: 0-4, 2 DP Essentilly created 6 outs Moncada: 1-4 3 outs created Vaughn: 0-4 4 outs created Sheets: 1-3 1 DP 4 outs created 0 walks , 2/15 That's 17 outs yesterday by those 4 or 5.2 innings worth. That left 3.1 innings for TA, Benintendi, Robert ,Romy and Zavala to score more runs than the Yankees. Luckily Romy was on base for 1 of the 2 Zavala HR's. The Sox did not have a runner in scoring position all game !
  9. Colas 1/2 with 2 walks . He's getting on base more but still no power. It's good he's progressing with his selection but not good that he's turned into a lesser version of AAA Adam Haseley.
  10. One consistent approach can mean many things to many people. I think there are certain ways to play the game that should be consistently taught such as patience . It is a team game and part of your job as a batter is to make the pitcher work harder. Part of your job as a starting pitcher is to get outs as efficiently as possible thus you stay in the game longer and you save the pen. Just as with hitting ,game situations may require a different approach. SO manly a lot of focus should be on how baseball is a team game and always will be. It's important to take your teammates into consideration too when you hit. They want as many looks as they can get at how the pitcher is throwing that day. But changing swing mechanics ,arm angles and things of that nature you can only make suggestions when something isn't working for someone. I'd suggest small changes 1st , such as choking up, moving farther away or closer to the plate. stance , hand position before you start to change whole swings. Plus you have to give an individual a certain amount of time to fail and be willing to try something new. Athletes do not like to change things that have been successful for them so some failure has to be involved to perhaps change their thinking on what could be done to get them to the next level. I don't think its wise to come right at a guy and say you'll never make it if you keep doing things your way. Patience works for coaches too. Swinging a bat and throwing a ball where you want it to go has so many different movements involved. It's more of a science now with bio mechanics involved to see how stressful certain movements are to your body. Plus there are certainly many scientists who do not agree .
