  3. I think I popped a blood vessel in my brain trying to digest that whole thing LCR.
  4. Well I feel old, my freshmen move in was 6 years ago. I haven't even been on a college campus in nearly 2 years. Enjoy it while you can guys. Oh and Beastly, I was similar to you coming out of high school. My advice would be to just have fun and go with the flow. You don't have to change who you are or what you believe in. However, if the opportunity to go out with some new people arises (such as a party) give it a shot. You have nothing to lose. Trust me, even if you don't think so, people change a lot from 18 to 22. You might actually end up enjoying going out. Good luck with the move in for those moving in. I almost miss it
  5. De Los Santos pitched tonight in relief...nice line. Kannapolis Player IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA De Los Santos 3.0 1 0 0 1 5 0 2.40
  6. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 04:41 PM) Well the Bourne movie was awesome. I liked the first two, but this one was better. One of the most fast-paced, intense action movies I can remember seeing. Lots of fun. Highly recommended. Agreed, just got back from it myself. I loved the first two films and was very pleased with those one. Just amazing that they can make a trilogy that actually stays just as good or improves throughout the films. That is a very amazing accomplishment.
  7. I guess we finally get to see what Kenny saw in Floyd. If he can pitch to his potential the guy has a serious chance to be a solid starter for this team.
  8. QUOTE(BearSox @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 01:54 AM) perhaps we could get 2 A ball pitchers for Crede this offseason? The missing Links.
  9. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 04:49 PM) Bull Terrier you are correct, sir. I still have a Spuds McKenzie "Original Party Dog" shirt I wear from all the way back in 1987. Gotta love it.
  10. QUOTE(BearSox @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 08:40 PM) is it worth the 300 some dollars? The w20 is the same, except two inches smaller, correct? When I bought mine it was 350 which I thought was a little steep. However, my old CRT had crapped out so I needed a monitor anyways. Only issue I know of is the occasional occurrence of a burned out pixel. My friend and I both have very similar HP monitors and both have a very small barely noticeable burned out pixel in different locations. Probably just a coincidence. However, I do love the monitor. Especially being a wide screen like it is. Getting used to a 22" wide screen takes a little time. I feel it is worth the investment if you have the cash.
  11. I have the HP w22 and absolutely love it.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 12:56 PM) Of course there's no Fields in the lineup, he needs at least 20 days off over the course of the season, he's young, he can't handle a full schedule. I'm glad we have alligator arms playing the hot corner. His lob to 1st base is amazing.
  13. Anybody think Peavy might have an outside shot?
  14. QUOTE(AirScott @ Aug 1, 2007 -> 09:35 PM) Am I the only one who finds it interesting that arguably two of the most dominant pitchers of the era -- Pedro Martinez and Randy Johnson -- barely factor into this discussion? Johnson has 284 wins, but he's been on the DL this season and is 43 years old (will be 44 by season's end). Why would Pedro factor into this discussion? He had his dominant years. However, he has been on the decline for a few years and struggled with health. That along with shoulder surgery. He still needs 90+ wins. I don't think he has enough left to get that at all.
  15. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 1, 2007 -> 02:32 PM) I also want nothing to do with Tejada, no matter the price. On second though, I might consider Contreras and Uribe for Tejada. Which means, no Tejada. Getting older, recent injury, the cloud that seems to have followed him the last 3 years, non stellar defense, seemingly rapidly declining production, and Vitamin E shots or whatever the accusation was. Just nothing I want to give up even Broadway for. I think it was B12. Vitamin E is good for scars though. Who knew?
  16. I think Jose is going to give up more extra base hits than record outs tonight.
  17. 33% of Abreu's HR's this year are against us. That is almost as bad as Belliard a few years ago.
  18. And Jose proceeds to give up a base hit and it is 1st and 3rd no outs.
  19. Well atleast he is putting on a good show. That ump looked scared when he came back after he told him to leave again.
