  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 08:55 PM) Smallball QFT
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 09:47 PM) Well since this is technically a Post Game thread I'd just like to add that Jim Thome's line for the season looks like this: .342/.519/.842/1.361 he is f***ing great right now. Those stats are almost Erstadian.
  3. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 09:26 PM) I'm taking over Ozzie's job!!! http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?s=...t&p=1397672 I feel pretty darn tootin' cool right now. That was soooo killer!!! My heart was racing almost as fast as in the 9th inning of the World Series! After the 7th inning or so I thought of when you typed that and kept thinking what if you are right? That was pretty awesome.
  4. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 04:01 PM) I bet Buerhle throws a no-hitter. Doesn't mean we'll win though. But sure, I'm sticking with the no-hitter. No, make it a PERFECT game...that way we will win. You sir, are a sage.
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 05:00 PM) Did you remember the HTML on box? She sure can handle the stick though.
  6. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 11:29 PM) SAY HELLO TO YOUR NEW LEADOFF HITTER CHICAGO!!! .171/.239/.244/.483 That's right you are not seeing things, that's a .483 OPS! But who cares!? He'll grind the s*** out of your face. He can punt the hell out of the ball too. Don't forget that mister.
  7. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 10:41 PM) A.J. was two for three tonight. Sure he called for a fastball when a slider may have been better, but he didn't want Mac to throw it right down the middle. He set up on the outer third of the plate and probably expected the ball to tail away. I don't think two seamers from a right handed pitcher tail away. It was a s***ty call. Sosa whiffed on two sliders and a third in the dirt would have got the job done.
  8. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 10:32 PM) he has to go. Who was that hitting instructor who helped Juan break out of it? He is hired. Was it Hriniak?
  9. Ok, I found it.....239 OBP as of the end of todays' game.
  10. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 10:20 PM) So Ozzie named Erstad and Ozuna his leadoff hitters before the game? What's Darin's OBP sitting at right now? .262 Actually probably lower. MLB.com isn't up to date.
  11. Outside of Thome, I think Anderson had the best looking AB of the night. Pretty ugly ass game.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 07:46 PM) Pretty pathetic effort by Erstad out there. I really liked the bare hand whiff at the end. Made it look good.
  13. Guess we are going to make up for last inning by making him throw as few pitches as possible.
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:28 PM) Hawk making f***ing excuses for our errors. BUT ITS COLD OUT THERE THEY CANT FEEL THE BALL!!!!
  15. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 11:24 AM) Well, as long as it's understood that Anderson is not that guy. I agree with everyone that I don't really think Erstad's an answer but I firmly believe he's better than Anderson. Which isn't saying much. What has Erstad done to make you believe he is a better palyer than Anderson? I'm curious.
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 09:54 PM) What exactly has Erstad done to earn sympathy? BUT!!! He had 240 hits in 2000!!!! Where is my barf icon?
  17. That lineup is fine. If we had the pitching efforts of this year with the lineup we had set up last year we would be winning a lot more games.
  18. I guess a guy with a .176 avg and .256 OBP is considered getting it done.
