    Movie game

Pumpkin Head is an amazingly terrible movie. I love it.
  3. QUOTE(JERMAINEDYE4MVP @ Sep 28, 2006 -> 10:23 PM) Who's the greatest 1-2 of all times then? How about Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale? QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 01:23 AM) If we're going with one year where they get stuff done, Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale say hi, for one. Bastard
  4. Man after the way B-Mac pitched tonight I am so glad we didn't have him in the rotation. It would have killed our playoff chances.
  5. Glad to see Roy Williams is now 0-2 or what 0-3 in victory predictions? Detroit where it belongs at the bottom of the NFC North once again.
  6. I'd hate to pay that guys electricity bill.
  7. Maybe we can talk Matt Williams out of retirement while we are at it?
  8. Watching this team is just depressing lately.
  9. Centurion = Nuke Furious Typer = SS2k
  10. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Sep 21, 2006 -> 09:46 PM) Keep the five alive. Trade McCarthy for a freakin' leadoff, high-percentage batting, non-slugger man. Think: Ichiro-like. How many "Ichiro-like" players are laying around on other teams just waiting to be traded? Hint: not many
  11. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 21, 2006 -> 04:44 AM) Tell us more about the scouts. What were they saying? There were a number of things. From what I can recall, there was the time Zumaya had 2 strikes on Pierzynski and the one guy said to the other guy "hard slider?" and the other guy shook his head naw. He suggested he stay with the heat and the next pitch Zumaya smoked one by AJ. A few other ones were the sliders away that they seemed to know were the Sox weakness and called it once or twice. They also seemed to see the lackadasical style we had in the game. One of the scouts sitting in front of me, I believe he was from the Mariners almost seemed to predict the stolen base late in the game (can't remember who had the steal now) and how by the time the Sox noticed he was already 3/4 of the way to 3rd. Teams I noticed that had scouts there were a Yankees scout behind us, a Dodgers and a Mariners scout sitting right in front of us and a guy who I believe was from the Twins because I remember seeing him at the last game I was at in those seats. From listening to them besides when they were BS'ing, the player I noticed they seemed the most impressed/interested all around was MacDougal. Just the impression I got from some of their reactions compared to how they acted the rest of the night. On the offensive side I couldn't really tell from them as there wasn't much offensive action on our side. On a side note, for such a large crowd of 38,000+ the crowd wasn't very into it at all. I remember going to games 3-4 years ago with friends and we would walk up to get tickets and there would be 18,000-20,000 die hards who would be three times as loud for half as good a team. Kinda depressed me. It was sad but after they blew a chance to score with 2 on in the 8th I told my friends we were leaving. By the time we got out to the car and we were on I-90 the game was over. Glad I didn't spend my whole night in traffic. Anyways, thats all I can think of right now. If you have any more questions on the scouts of the crowd lemme know.
  12. I got free tickets for the game tonight and they were great seats. However, I was frustrated the whole game. Just seemed like a complete lack of execution all night. It was kinda funny actually. I was sitting with a few friends with all the scouts around us and they were pretty much calling all the pitches or plays against us that they knew would work and they happened about 8/10 times. Sad stuff.
  13. Interesting that Hawk just said that Freddy will "probably have his fastball back next year" and that it will make him better. Perhaps he is staying?
  14. QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 01:44 AM) Because there are too many times where they need to and don't. If they had the offensive approach that they do tonight for the whole season we wouldn't need to manufacture runs. If it were only that easy.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 01:44 AM) I want Freddy to do well...but not too well to the point that KW might think he's turned the corner for next year. Sad to say, but Garcia shows me more potential to pitch decent for next year than Buehrle does. Agreed, he has shown flashes of his old form. Lately especially.
  16. QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 01:42 AM) Still relying too much on HRs and not manufacturing runs. Why manufacture runs if you don't need to?
  17. Are we trying now? I haven't seen this since October.
  18. Mr. Dergan rules Edit: haha next pitch gone. Thanks Scotty

  20. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 11:42 PM) I thought this was known last year, but I hate the Bears with a passion. I knew I liked you for some reason Heads
  21. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 12:16 AM) What happened? Triple play
  22. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 10:36 PM) Bases loaded some moron is calling breaking pitches. I was thinking the same thing. Why the f*** don't you challenege them with a f***ing fastball? If they beat you, they beat you. Don't walk them in though. Jesus f***ing Christ.
