QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 02:01 AM) I miss Nuke Agreed, its like Gestapo City here lately.

QUOTE(Shamrock4Life @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 01:59 AM) Direct Quote from Nuke, "Vazquez is a worthless piece of spiff. He is the greatest 5 inning, barely qualigy for a win worthless dirtbag who ever picked up a baseball." Hey don't shoot the messenger. Does this make me a narc? O, the swear filter is pretty (a term for a man who likes another man). and so is suspending someone for calling it that.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 01:53 AM) Ugh, I really had hope for him too. What has he done in his recent history to give you any hope past inning 5? Dude is a mental midget of the highest order.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 01:50 AM) He should. Prepare the flack jackets for the kids in LF then.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 10:05 PM) I just received information that leads me to believe this deal was very close to happening, but the Sox backed out when they couldn't get Soriano to agree to not having a no-trade clause for his full contract extension. In no way is this information confirmed, but there were members of the Sox organization who were told to order Soriano Sox jerseys today. *Pees Pants* Side not, I agree. Jim Rose has never been an inside source for ANYTHING. He was probably slipped false information anyways.

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jul 23, 2006 -> 10:54 PM) Little blurb from the AP: Maybe he should watch his performance from this season and then he will "get it".

QUOTE(pcullotta @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 03:54 AM) According to ESPN, yes It must be the East Coast Bias since Ortiz is in Baltimore now.

QUOTE(JimH @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 03:10 AM) Well I'm not going to go back and research your posts but you know and I know you have been beating the drum for at least two years now about Cotts being good vs. righthanded hitters, and why doesn't Ozzie leave him in for the whole inning. How about just admitting it for once? As for leaving Cotts in, they were down by 3 runs already so I can see why he did it. Its funny how on your previous post you said that it is more important for some people on here to be correct than for the sox to win. Yet, you are doing the exact same thing trying to insult and challenge Fathom. Why?

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 03:03 AM) I think people who say that should be suspended during the playoffs, if we reach. GREAT IDEA

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 02:11 AM) That said just want to make this friendly reminder and its what LCR said: 1. We have already discussed that the ethnic spelling/speech on the boards (i.e "Joo know wha?" etc.) is prohibited. Have fun, enjoy the thread cause this thread and the game thread are the two threads that are a little more loose due to being more reactionary, but remember, explicit cursing is no tolerated. However the ocassionally exciting thread (which would be winner threads and the ocassional game threads where I understand people get upset from time to time) are cool. Just stay away from personal attacks or incredibly harsh attacks (even if not directed at anyone). I thought you said ethnic spelling wasn't allowed? Just messin with ya. -
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 10:13 PM) A recently used car, if bought from a dealer with a certification program and warranty on it, is a good way to go in that price range. In my experience of vehicles where I have more than rumor/media information... Brands I (and those close to me) have done well with: Toyota Subaru Saturn Infiniti Lexus Brands not so good: BMW Alfa Romeo Chevy Ford I'd go a step further with that list. Brands to trust/reliable: Toyota/Scion Honda/Acura Nissan Lexus Infiniti Subaru to some extent as well Bad/not very reliable: BMW Mercedes (lately) Ford Chevy Pontiac/GMC Most American cars.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 02:07 AM) Guys....I just want to say one thing...lets enjoy this win We had a rough 6 games (losing 5 of em) and its nice to be able to kick back and grab a win, especially against the team with the best record in baseball. Fixed. -
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 02:16 AM) Maxima and Corolla are two different ballgames. If you decided you wanted a Maxima, you'd have to go used to get under 15. And you'd probably be very close to your limit, unless you were buying a junker Maxima. Personally, I'd say go used on a Corolla and pocket the rest. Be careful, take the car to a good mechanic before buying if it's a private seller, do a lot of research on price, etc etc etc, but it's so much cheaper, and those suckers last forever anyway. Jmho. I've only owned one car, and I bought it new b/c I was paranoid about it falling apart. I wish I would have just saved myself $5k or so. Agree with Jackie here. My Dad drove a 1995 Corrola for about 9 years and then he gave it to me to drive while I was down at college for part of my senior year last year. I drove that car a ton when I was dating a girl 40 miles away and put tons of miles on it. Long story short, I finally decided to trade in the Toyota because I just wanted something new. When I traded in the car it had 226,000+ miles on it and still ran fairly decent. Although it was a great and reliable car I am enjoying my RSX just a little bit more.

QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 02:14 AM) I like the metal bats. I was able to break up a kids perfect game w/ a bunt when I was in 7th grade. I managed to push the bunt thru the infield, something I prolly wouldn't have been able to do w/ a wood bat. Maybe you should show Uribe your technique.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 13, 2006 -> 03:16 PM) *sigh* thread is not headed where I was hoping. I intentionally tried to be careful with the wording of the thread title. Didn't want dirty minds like you corrupting the kids
