  1. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 06:43 PM) I have a question: How the hell was Three Kings not nominated for any Oscars. Sorry but this movie was 10 x better than any of those other films that got nominated. That is just a joke! Sorry but Three Kings should've gotten nominated for the following awards: Best Motion Picture Best Director: David O'Russell Best Actor: George Clooney or Mark Wahlberg. Best Supporting Actor: Ice Cube Best Supporting Actress: Nora Dunn(she was great) Best Original Screenplay And all of the technical awards. I don't think we need the Oscars to validate whether a movie is good or not. Half the time they pick the worst possible choices. They don't mean a thing really.
  2. QUOTE(Soxguy @ Nov 5, 2005 -> 10:03 PM) its only been about 12 and 1/2 months since my last phone so no upgrade If you have your PIN Card i'm pretty sure you can transfer it from one phone to another without too much hassle unless it is a phone like the T-Mobile Sidekick style stuff. I think it varys on a phone to phone basis. Best bet would to go into one of their stores and ask a worker or call someone at Cingular. That or try to contact the seller of the phone on ebay.
  3. QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 4, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) Doc Brown's dog in 1955 in "Back to the Future"? Shoulda seen this coming with the Biff avatar... :rolly

  5. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Nov 4, 2005 -> 12:51 AM) That's how I am too. I used to dislike Nike for some reason, but I'm slowly going back to them. Reebok and Nike are the two I go with. What about the British Knights that light up when you walk?!?!

  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) Don't go. Beat me to it
  8. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 08:08 PM) Daigle spent 25 games at AAA. Not enough time for his stats to mean much. But like I said, i didn't see him in person. You can call Gload whatever you'd like, prospect or not, but I still think he could be very good at 1B at the MLB level. With all three taking a shot, I think the chances of one doing at least as well offensively as Everett (and better defensively, but at 1st) are very, very good. Daigle is bad and was claimed by another team a day or two ago. No more Daigle daydreaming plz.
  9. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 08:03 PM) My thoughts exactly.
  10. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 05:18 AM) He lived through it. It was a good game. 0_o
  11. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 05:03 AM) Eddy Curry had a good game (19 points, 8 rebounds) but the Knicks still lost to the Celtics. Losing to the Celtics = LOL. That is like losing to the Magic. Right Dbaho?
  12. QUOTE(SS Gload @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 02:36 AM) Well, by the looks of it.......lottery here we come! Breaking news....It isn't even halftime.
  13. QUOTE(HineyBird @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 07:00 PM) we should sign Dale Ellis and Pervis Ellison then we would compete for the title Let us not forget "Downtown" Randy Brown!
  14. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) Hmm.. ok.. Back in the early 1800's.. 1830ish IIRC, Texas used to belong to Mexico.. then they declaired their independence.. Want me to continue or does that click the connection..? Don't worry Steff, some of us thought you were clever with the title.... :rolly
  15. QUOTE(Frank the Tank 35 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 01:08 AM) I never understood the lovefest for Adam Dunn, and I guess I never will. Let's play a game comparing Adam Dunn to a mystery person. Dunn's 2005 stats (543 ABs): .247 avg, .387 obp, .540 slg, .927 ops 40 hrs, 101 rbis, 114 bbs, 168 k's .249 avg bases empty, .248 risp, .231 risp w/ 2 outs, .231 bases loaded Mystery player's last full season (546 ABs): .267 avg, .390 obp, .562 slg, .952 ops 42 hrs, 105 rbis, 100 bbs, 115 k's .222 avg bases empty, .280 risp, .305 risp w/ 2 outs, .333 bases loaded Dunn would cost AT LEAST one of our top starters. The mystery player has injury concerns but would be VERY affordable. WHO do YOU think this mystery player is? And the follow-up question: which situation would most benefit the Sox? Key words "Last Full Season". He is going to be 37 and has a bad foot and weighs like 270 pounds. Who says he will ever have another full season again? I love the man to death but I do not want to put all of our offensive hopes on the shoulders of a guy who we can't count on to be healthy for a full season.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) I guarantee you that he would hit better on a team with a better approach at the plate. Just like with Pods in Milwaukee, the Reds are not a team that stress focused at-bats at the plate. Dunn would also greatly benefit by not facing the strike out pitchers of the NL Central on a regular basis. ^^^^^ Dunn would instantly become our best bat and most dangerous offensive threat. I would love to have him.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 04:41 AM) I'm thinking of holding an Off-Season Post World Serie chat crew gathering so we'd have to vote on it there. Oh, and speaking in 3rd person won't get you any love either. SoxFan1 doesnt tolerate that s***. SF1 is a heartless bastard who doesn't remember his chat crew cronies

  19. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 06:50 PM) I think Garland gets at least 7 million, I guess 8 might be a little high. I was a little pie in the sky with some of the other numbers, trying to shoot at the high end of the range. When it comes down to it, isn't Garland a 60 game winner already? I mean, that's almost as many games as Kerry Wood has won Garland has 159 Career starts with 64 wins. Wood has 174 Career starts with 70 wins. I still don't believe Garland gets $8 mil in arbitration.
  20. Hell, even Marte looked amazing in his last appearance in the WS.
