  1. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 08:35 PM) Rather have the devil rays sweep them and have them feeling s***ty while the sox are feeling good going into the last series of the year. ^^^^^
  2. Classes are overrated anyways. Sox take priority
  3. I think I will have to skip my first class of the day to watch this game. Gotta have priorities straight.
  4. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 04:50 PM) We shall see. I can still see a Frank Robinson winning it in the NL, and he won't be in the playoffs. I would hope someone like Bobby Cox would get it over Robinson. I think he has earned it more.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) Pods and Ozuna show off a little too much when they hit homers.
  6. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) It is bad that I had to do this stuff when I was 22? I had one when I was 13 when I was diagnosed with Crohns. It isn't really a big deal heh. I remember when I had mine I woke up before they were finished and still had the camera in. I was farting like mad and just wanted them to finish so I could go home and get some damn food.
  7. Anyone see the end of the Red Sox/Toronto game? God, could Berman and Brantley cry about how good Boston was and praise everything about them anymore?
  8. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 02:08 AM) Someone might want to drop Jeff Brantley a note.
  9. A bird that flys in perfect circles so much that it's head eventually goes up its ass and it disappears completely. That is what is going to happen to Mariotti according to Hawk.
  10. f*** YEAH!!!!!! LETS CLINCH THIS s*** TOMORROW BOYS
  11. QUOTE(Commander Fisk @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 06:27 AM) I find it hard to believe that we have so many Sox fans that have turned into bean counters. Our payroll has risen and after this year I think it will go up more too. With that said, Assuming Frank doesn't come back, which for some reason I think Ozzie would love that, we are going to be left with Dye and GULP! Everett. Konerko is defineately worth 12 million for 4 years, and If they can work out something with Frank (short-term incentive laiden contract) we can have Frank hitting 3, PK at 4, and Dye at 5. Offensive problem solved. Frank has had two healthy seasons in the last five. No offensive problems are solved at all with your solution.
  12. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 02:30 AM) Better offense and a new manager. Since the site began, I can't think of a time in which pitching wasn't mentioned up until now. That's good, but we have glaring holes on offense. Problem is that all the decent worthwhile FA's that are available play positions that are already good enough on this team. I mean Bengie will be getting alot more than AJ and I also think AJ is a much better game caller than Bengie. Crede has the best glove that's available to us. He saves Mark and Jon a lot of runs. Plus his offense seems like it's coming around as long as he keeps his current stance. He's a 9 hitter anyway. Ask the Yanks if they would like that type of production out of their 9 hitter and they would love it. Uribe is a necessity at short. Only because of his strong arm. He's very streaky and I think he should be a platoon player if we do go look at SS. Giles is the only real option. Especially since Pods doesn't steal bases anymore. Pods is as useful as Willie right now. He better learn how to steal or he should be traded and room should be made for Giles. We need to desperately do something with that DH spot though. Either Frank or some massive power hitter via trade. Sadly, I don't think Frank has much if anything left in the tank. We already relied on him making a comeback once to save our offense and it bit us in the ass. Lets not do it again.
  13. I just saw an ESPN commercial for the Divisional Playoffs...god it makes me want the Sox to just win that much more.
  14. Magik numba = 4. Please win you stupid White Sox
  15. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 02:08 AM) How about a double play and a side of fries? I really wish Rowand was up for Cleveland right now.
  16. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 02:00 AM) My ideal line-up would be: Furcal (ss) Mueller (3b) Iguchi (2b) Konerko (1b) Giles (LF) Molina © Dye (RF) Anderson (CF) Gload (DH) **might be lacking some speed at the bottom, but a better line-up. Even though this is not possible, I would love it. We would have to shell out an extra $16-20 million, though. If Iguchi bats 3rd for us next year I will vomit on this team.
  17. Hahah, Hawk cheerin on Piniella and the Rays
