  1. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 02:11 AM) Alot of people have got.. not sure of the word, but "too used" to winning games, and when the Sox lose anything, the finger is pointed at Ozzie, even if it isnt his fault. Im not pissed at Ozzie because I realize that the White Sox have 91 wins, something only 1 other team in baseball has, and the reason they have 91 wins? Ozzie Guillen. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  2. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) Lou Piniella is being bought out by Tampa. It is still unclear if he must sit out a year. He would look great in the 3rd base dugout of USCF. Hell yes he would
  3. Nobody f***s with the Rally Crede.
  4. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 07:11 AM) I don't know why I keep saying Jenks. My bad, Rowand did f*** it up. It's cool. We are both just glad these guys got a win today.
  5. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 06:59 AM) I am mentally exhausted. I seriously need to take a break from this team. When Jenks blew it in the 9th again, I was ready to kill somebody. Joe Crede is my new god. I will pray to his image like the muslims pray to allah. You mean when Rowand blew it in the 9th?
  6. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 03:50 AM) I still think it was my sig/avatar combo. You are scum!!!!
  7. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) "Rally Crede.... He fights For us" Thanks Murice, I just spit a mouthfull of diet coke all over my monitor.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 05:13 PM) Read the article. Doesn't exactly seem like KW is very confident right now. I usually don't like Mariotti's articles, as you can tell he's always on his high horse. However, his last two articles about the Sox have been excellent. Yeah, just read the article. I kinda laughed at the last paragraph with Howry's comments. Sad but true. I usually hate Mariotti as well. However, I think he is expressing the feelings of a lot of us including you and I.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) KW sure seems confident Is there any evidence that KW is actually still alive? I haven't heard a peep out of the guy in months.
  10. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 08:12 AM) What makes blaylock's .765 ops so appealing to you? I would make that trade for the 2003 and 2004 blaylock, but for the 2005 version? They can keep him. Rather sign mueller ( one year contract with an option) and go from there. He will be cheaper in the terms of salary and what it takes to get him talent wise ( draft picks). Better than Crede's .727 OPS I agree with you. Hank doesn't look like much of an upgrade over Crede with the way Blalock has looked this year. Teixiera is another story though. I can dream.
  11. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 08:07 AM) Durazo had a .913 OPS in 03 or 04 in Oakland, imagine what he could do in Chicago at the Cell. I don't think we need the DH to fit into the Ozzieball mold, we still need some guys who can mash the ball. Mueller's stats away from Fenway aren't great, but I still think he'd do a good job for the Sox. Nothing more than a 2 year deal though. Hank Blalock on the other hand, doesn't have a good K/BB ratio, is terrible away from Texas, and has an OPS around what Aaron Rowand has. No way I'd give up Contreras AND Marte AND Sweeney for him. Durazo had season ending surgery. It is questionable he will come back and post the same type of numbers.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 07:11 AM) He's been very skeptical about Ozzie's use of Marte. On Friday night, he kept saying how much he questioned the move. Then, tonight, the TV kept showing Marte on the bench as they were saying how you can't keep pitching people in the bullpen if they're going to walk batters. You no longer hear Hawk praise Ozzie for all his decisions. No more comments like "Ozzie has something in mind for the stretch run, etc." About what I figured. You know the guy is making s*** decisions when Hawk, the aploigist for our front office/management/ownership/team, is doubting him.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 05:21 AM) Hawk does not like Ozzie's managing now. He's made it rather obvious. What has he said lately? I haven't had much of a chance to catch a lot of the broadcasts.
  14. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 06:01 AM) Even though I'm not in favor of the doom and gloom, I have to give you props on going out and finding that avatar. Haha, thanks. I can't take all the credit though, it was posted in one of the threads around here by Nuke I believe. I'm not totally doom and gloom, just losing more and more faith every day.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:38 AM) Wow, he got a massive hanger there. This team f***ing blows, and it all starts at the top. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  16. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:37 AM) i wont jack off for a week if he does it.
  17. QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:23 AM) FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! IF WE LOSE THIS GAME, WE'RE STILL 2.5 GAMES UP! The first half was not a fluke. If they make to the playoff, they DESERVE it! We still have a 15 game lead, wait a 12 game lead, wait a 9.5 game lead, wait 3.5......and it goes down and down and down.
  18. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:23 AM) no but maybe i am Almost
  19. ESPN "analysts" are jokes across the board. Jeff Brantley, Steve Phillips, John Kruk, Shawn Salisbury, Mark Schlareth...wow. These guys have done nothing in their careers for the mostpart. They are all washed up has beens or never was in casees like Salisbury. Why should we ever care what any of them have to say? We shouldn't
