  1. QUOTE(twisted @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 01:20 AM) oK mr. know it alls August first how many were u ahead of us? I'm guessing you didn't know that "personal attacks" aren't supported on this board.
  2. QUOTE(Whitesoxfan56 @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 01:19 AM) LOL, f***in dumb ass indian "fans" I wonder if he thinks Lofton is still their leadoff hitter.
  3. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) You know, I'm not even sure I agree with that...I can't really think of any single stretch in this season where Everett has carried us. He's won us ballgames, he's had decent stretches where he's been useful, but even when he's been hitting well, he's only been 1 piece in a machine. Konerko? He's carried this team for a period. Uribe...check. Dye? Check. Podsednik? Yeah, back in May, him and Iguchi. Crede? Check...2 weeks back in April. But Everett...when he gets going he's steady, but not a monster. Borchard won't be around next year.
  4. Sadly for me, the Packers season died for me today. There were a few bright spots. However, losing to a Dilfer led Cleveland team is just not a good way to go in a home opener. Really sad.
  5. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) The count is preparing his bowel movement for the bed.
  6. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Sep 18, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) 2 points: Nobody made any real significant moves at the trade deadline. Our payroll, and those of other Central teams, reflects attendance. If we supported the team better at the gate, they'd spend more money and the division would be ours to lose every year. What are you, Jerry Reinsdorf's mouthpiece? We have over 2 million in attendance and this is one of the better attendance years in recent memory. What is their excuse for not getting anyone?
  7. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 07:35 PM) This is how. Thanks for the new avatar Nukey.
  8. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) WTF? WE ALREADY HAVE THE AL MANAGER OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!! Smarten up. We don't need a manager, that's why. Don't forget rookie of the year and GM of the year and and and CY young and and and and everything else!!! :banghead
  9. QUOTE(Allsox @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) Hopefully, Ozzie puts to rest he owes it to Duque s***....What about giving the team a chance to win? Since when the hell does a manager owe a player a damn thing when said player isn't doing the job?!? But he almost pitched 4 innings today. Isn't that enough for you?!
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 07:01 PM) Who would have ever guessed that this team would be 4 hit??? I'm eagerly awaiting Ozzie's pathetic quotes of the day. You know meng, we tried really hard and put together some hard heets. We gonna geet 'em tomorrow.
  11. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 06:58 PM) MLB Game Day is stuck with Everett at bat and 2 strikes He K's and then Rowand K'd on 4 pitches.
  12. QUOTE(bkmoney @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 06:57 PM) what happened gameday isnt updating Swinging K
  13. Chris "Everett" is doing a great job picking up the offense.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 06:51 PM) And Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere comes Nathan to squelch whatever hope we had.
  15. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) yearly basis Care to explain?
  16. Iowa will do their usual mid-season meltdown under Alford. I'm sure it will be amusing.
  17. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) Think About We've already won five more games than last year Jon Garland has pitched better than any one expected no one thought the offense would be good at the beginning of the season anyways dustin hermanson wasn't supposed to be one of the leagues best closers so i say we enjoy the pennant race and hope for the best We haven't won a World Series since 1917. How exactly are we spoiled?
  18. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 04:58 AM) I'm not going to lie, when I saw the final score and (maybe) recaps at the bar tonight, I kissed my best girl friend on the lips. I was sooooooo happy it honestly made my darn night (and we both got a free drink). HELL YEAH!!!!!!!
  19. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) Wow, talk about a weak hitting group of players there... Why not just pass on Hunter and Juan Pierre and our OF can be punch and judy all the way.
  20. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 06:37 PM) You've left us with only 4 starting pitchers. And an even worse offense than we've got this year. He did say it was a rebuilding model. Not a competitive playoff run team for next year.
  21. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 06:20 PM) If the team misses the playoffs, here would be my plans after the season and I am not joking. Some might refer to this as the Cleveland model for rebuilding. Trade Jose Contreras and Orlando Hernandez for prospects Let Paul Konerko, Frank Thomas and Carl Everett go via free agency Trade Damaso Marte or release him Resign Jon Garland to a long term deal Resign AJ Pierzynski Trade Jermaine Dye for prospects, put Brian Anderson full-time in RF Find a decent third baseman Can we trade Buehrle too Aboz? Jusssssssssst kidding
  22. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) PLAY THE f***ING STARTERS OZZIE, PLAY THEM 4 AND 5 GAMES AT A CLIP. WE NEED TO WIN THIS AND YOU ARE RESTING GUYS WHO HIT GOOD The team needs to get some ... I love it.
  23. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 04:01 PM) How ironic is it that last year, we struggled all season for a leadoff hitter, so we traded Carlos Lee, our number 3 hitter. Now, this season, we've basically struggled all year to find a number 3 hitter? It isn't irony, it is Sox management
  24. QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 04:22 AM) I luv small wonder.
