  1. Neal Cotts is still fresh. Hell he only threw like 8 pitches.
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 03:00 AM) BTW, is Harden out for the year? Where did you hear that?
  3. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 02:25 AM) Sizemore would look good standing at the plate in a White Sox uniform right now. C'mon Pods, ducks on the pond. ^^^^^^^^
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 02:06 AM) Probably about as much as many of us love our manager.
  5. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 02:01 AM) I don't evern want to hear blame of Ozzie. Blame this fricking pitcher. Blame him 100 percent. You want Freddie to pull himself when he has no stuff?
  6. Did anyone see Gabe Kapler tear his achilles while rounding the bases on a homer from Graf?
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 01:51 AM) Hopefully, that's all for Garcia. Let Viz and Cotts handle the next few innings. Yeah, maybe we can use Neal for 1 batter and then pull him
  8. Sizemore hits .281 leading off with a .332 OBP Those other splits were for bases empty. I don't think he really struggles to "Get the offense going" at the beginning of the game personally.
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 01:24 AM) A lot of players 3b hits come because of the ballpark they play in...the more nooks & crannies in the outfield, the more 3b hits you get. The Cell doesn't have any of them. Therefore, I consider triples to be a terrible stat to compare between different teams. 9 of his Triples are on the road. Don't we play in the same away parks as Cleveland does?
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 01:23 AM) Well I said if you care about slugging Sizmore is your man. I don't care about it as much from a leadoff man. I'm not saying I wouldn't take Sizemore. He's younger, but as leadoff men in that responsibility, theres not much diff. Sizemore also has 25 more Runs scored than Pods. Isn't that what you want out of your leadoff hitter?
  11. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 01:17 AM) Pods has better offensive numbers FWIW, unless you care about slugging from the leadoff man. Sizemore does have a little pop. It's pretty close tho. Sizemore is bueno. Better offensive numbers? Like what? Pods average is a whole 4 points higher and his obp is just a few points higher as well. Other than that...Sizemore has 19 Dingers, 31 2B, 11 3B, 97 Runs Scored, 76 RBI. But hey, I guess Scotty is better cause he steals a few bases
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 01:10 AM) Sizemore's a freaking stud. Agreed. God how I wish we would be able to trade for him. We can give them Pods
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) 1/4 of Sweeney's home runs this year have come against us. Sounds like Belliards homers last year.
  14. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 02:36 PM) http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/4867824 Don't you mean Steel?
  15. Yes, we should all fear the Yankees terrible rotation and juiced up Giambi.
  16. QUOTE(YASNY @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) Man, I've got to see a link before I believe that. I have read nothing of the kind about BMac. Same here. Also, I would take whatever the Trib says about the Sox with a grain of salt. They like to print a lot of bulls***.
  17. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) Duque to get 1 more shot vs. Twins ''[Hernandez] has brought me all the way to here to this point,'' Guillen said. ''I have a lot of confidence in El Duque. He had one bad outing. We're going to stay the same way, but in the next couple of days, we could change our mind when we see how El Duque feels.'' 'Right now El Duque should be the man because I feel that I let that man down when I took him out,'' Guillen said. ''I feel like people think that I just took him out because everybody wants McCarthy pitching. Well, I do, too. Everybody wants this kid to pitch. But when a guy has pitched for you all year long, I don't think it's fair for him to be treated like this. Brought you all the way where? To the brink of insanity?
  18. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 01:09 AM) Random facts about Soxtalk It ranks 934 out of all internet message boards when going about total amount of posts. It ranks 1278 when judging by total members. 147th when judging by people visiting per day. 63rd when going by post/member ratio 100th when going by average users online. Meaningless facts of the day. We would be a lot lower without Southsider around here

  20. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 05:33 AM) answered my own question... He's earned something like 150K for an innings pitched bonus already.... but he's not in any danger of breaking the bank. Well, that looks farmiliar. Scroll up

  22. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 05:17 AM) I missed AJ, he'll be due 5-6M Damn, too slow
  23. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 05:16 AM) I've got them at 57.35 figuring they buy out Everett and Frank.. The only Arb eligble player I added was Garland at $7M (which is about what he'd earn next year) Other Arb eligble guys who I didn't figure are Viz (2M max?) and Crede(who knows?) AJ?
