  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) It was one of the other names he had posted under. Brando?
  2. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 06:04 AM) so this thread was worth absolutely nothing. Some people learned how to spell grammar and how to use proper contractions.
  3. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 01:35 AM) I had my suspicions about him. I thought people were willing to give Brando another chance? What did he do to get banned again?
  4. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 01:34 AM) No clue. Might have been though. I was just assuming that since the cards/cubs game is on. Not sure where he got it from.
  5. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 01:30 AM) Don't know, I didn't hear this 'update' either. Did he say it was on the radio? Maybe it was on CSN
  6. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 06:50 PM) But can't other teams somehow block the trade? Not after the player has cleared waivers.
  7. Great to see Young with 37 2B's on the year. Go break Maggs record
  8. Where is Sweet Willie Harris on this list?
  9. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) I think the 'Hawks are just about done. They'll basically start the season with... Daze - Arny - Ruutu Calder - Bell - Lapointe/Borque Barnaby - Brown - Borque/Lapointe Thorton - Dowd - Holmqvuist (sp?)/Vorobiev/Keith Cullimore - Aucoin Mac - Vandy Spacek - Seabrook/Keith/Babchuk/Barinka I seem to think I'm forgetting someone on the forward lines...? I mean, unless someone has a real outstanding camp, like Barker, I think the team is pretty much set. Yawney just has to figure out line combos. I like Borque on the second line, because I've heard that he's got one helluva shot, and that CBB line could use a guy who can shoot. Then, our third line will really be pretty solid -- a real b**** to play against. The other battle, of course, will be Anderson or Leighton for the backup spot. I dunno. I read some quotes from Yawney that said he would like to put Bell at center with Ruutu and see how that chemistry works in camp. Are they thinking Bell would be first line center?

    Colleges

Illinois State here. Have 1 more semester left. Graduating in December and afraid that I will have to get a real job Gotta agree with what others here said, the time does fly when you get there. I can't believe im 22 f***ing years old and almost out of college. It seems like I just got there. I would suggest just visiting campuses, talking to the people there and getting a feel for it. That is the best advice. Go where you feel comfortable and like, not where others like.
  11. Anyone know where the hell BA has been?
  12. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 04:07 AM) How high is Pitt on Marc-Andre? Didn't he have a pretty poor year at wherever he was playing...? Yeah, from what I have read Fleury has regressed more than progressed the past year. Also, I think Toronto could be a team interested in TBo. They have Belfour and who else right now? I know they are trying to dump him and go for CuJo.
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 07:23 PM) its not really that ridiculous. We can sign Kariya and St Louis when he gets dropped, trade for thorton. I guess the salary cap is null and void when it comes to the Hawks?
  14. QUOTE(YahtzeeSox @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 07:06 PM) We should wait to see who can't afford their RFA's and needs a a goalie, instead of overpaying for Kariya. We could package Tbo and someone and maybe get a good scorer. From the quotes I read of Tallon I think that is his plan. Rather than overpay for Kariya, he would strengthen us in a trade.
  15. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 02:24 PM) I rented it a few weeks ago. I couldn't even make it through it, and I hardly ever turn off a movie, no matter how bad it is. It's hard to believe that such a good cast can make such a poor movie. I thought it had a lot of funny parts when I saw it. But, I did see with buddies in the theatre and us goofing around and making jokes probably made it better. It is supposed to be a dry mockery more than anything. Maybe over the top for some or maybe just not that good of a movie. Hard to decide.q
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 02:15 AM) New Kids on the Block made a lot of money... does mean they didn't suck. Kind of funny you said that considering Donnie Wahlberg is in Saw 2 hahah.
  17. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 02:14 AM) Where's that one dude...? Oh right, we banned him.
  18. Has anyone heard any rumors at all lately about Palffy or Kariya? They have been pretty quiet it seems.
  19. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) A few summers ago, I worked with a guy who played (and I assume still plays) for UNC. Apparently, just about everyone on the team knew Peppers was on more than one illegal drug, and I don't just mean steroids. Thanks, I remember that too. Just can't believe it was that long ago already. Time flys.
  20. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) Not really a fan of a Lindros signing, but if it's say a 2 year deal at $2.5M a season, I can live with it, the Sox just need to get somebody to fill that void as the 1st line center. I'd prefer Allison though, and that's saying something with all of the concussion problems he's had as well. Do you see anything wrong with that quote DB?
  21. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 11:18 PM) Oh my. That's a Wirtz signing right there. Sign a guy to sell seats. If they sign him I hope he doesn't get a concussion signing the contract.
  22. Didn't Haren have an ERA of like 5 in July and had a bunch of no decisions because his O bailed him out?
