  1. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 09:21 PM) Lilly is a flyball pitcher that is susceptible to the longball. His ERA at the Cell would be atrocious. Didn't people say that about Garcia too?
  2. QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:57 AM) Yea his ERA is like a run lower but still......lets se how he fares against the Scrubs He already faced the Cubs
  3. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:49 AM) Minny game over yet? Yeah, they lost 7-2
  4. 3 HR and 7 ER in 3 IP. Ouch. Well worth the 17 million or whatever he is getting.
  5. I wouldn't mind seeing Hamill get a shot. I really liked the work he did on the animated series when I was younger. Sandler and Williams are not very good actors in my opinion and it would be a mistake to even consider them.
  6. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 07:14 PM) hope so as long as nolan keeps directing. the end of it leaves them room to either make a sequel or stand alone as the precursor to burton's batman... I'm pretty sure they don't want to be associated with the Tim Burton/Other Batman movies at all. If they did they wouldn't have had Joe Chill as the guy that killed Wayne's parents, they would have had Jack Napier/Joker which wasn't the original story from the comics. I feel like they are going to build up joker over the next movie and have him in the third. They talked about him having a double homicide and something else in the movie I recall. That sounds like small stuff for a big time villain like the Joker. They could also use the Scarecrow in the next movie if they so desired. At any rate, I loved the movie and I can't wait for the next one.
  7. Wheels are coming off for Weaver. We need to do some more damage now.
  8. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 01:51 AM) You defend corpseball. I'm sure any stupid thing is funny to you. I don't think he was referring to you.
  9. Is it me or does Paulie seem a lot more patient at the plate recently?
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 01:03 AM) Wow, considering I just joined in on this thread about 10 minutes ago, I don't understand why this has turned into everyone against me? The thing that has bothered me the most in this game so far was the missed 2-2 pitch on Kent. Not the Sox hitting or anything else...yet. Not meaning to dump on you fathom. Just seeing all the doom and gloom about corpseball after 3 innings I thought you were a part of that complaining. Not dumping on you specifically. It's just when people incessently b**** about our offense early in the game when we have been great all season makes no sense to me.
  11. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) Nope, we're losing 1-0 in the 4th inning. It's over. Corpseball! Tribe will over take us in a few weeks. Back up the truck! I love you Brian. By the way, after seeing the new Batman I love your sig even more.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 12:59 AM) Well, it's 1-0 now. Is our offense still off the hook? It's the 4th inning. How about stepping off the ledge until the game is over.
  13. American Psycho fans will love this.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 07:27 PM) Cleveland got on one of those streaks last year and made a run past us sometime after the all star break when we were falling apart. That's the reason everyone kept saying Cleveland would be so much better this year. I'm starting to think they're one of the streakiest teams in baseball. Fact is, we've got a big lead on them and we're due for a hot streak as well. Jake Westbrook has reverted to his 2003 form, with an ERA over 4.5 and as many losses this year as he had all year last year. Their big off-season acquisition was Juan Gone (on the DL). They have Sabbathia back, and Millwood might be coming off the DL soon, but they don't have nearly enough to make a run for this division. Not unless the Twins and the Sox both fall apart. Milwood came off the DL yesterday and pitched 5 innings for their win.
  15. Absolut Peppar for me. Says I always end up in the kitchen at parties and I am a great lover. Ohhhh how did they know.
  16. Just got back from the movie myself. I am a big Bale fan and enjoy Christopher Nolan. I really think the casting was done well and the movie far surpassed all my expectations. This is a movie that I thought kicked ass before it was even half way over. I really want to see it again and would suggest others on the board see it too. Was just a really solid movie that made other movies I have seen lately look like junk.
  17. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:59 AM) Simply put, Frank is one of the best pure hitters of our lifetime. There is no way he should be hitting like this after all the problems. He is just amazing at the plate. No doubt the guy is still a stud.
