  1. QUOTE(hi8is @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:26 PM) wow, cool Looks like someone has been reading WSI I saw this too. All the pictures on this thing are 2 years old supposedly.
  2. A lot of people I have talked to that are Pack fans like me see them taking Brodney Pool (S)- Oklahoma.
  3. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 04:35 AM) On urbandictionary.com, I got several different results, each of them hilarious in their own way. If you like that just look up Rasheed Wallace on urban dictionary. It is pure gold.
  4. QUOTE(Kogs35 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 04:23 AM) next wed on espn again the location is wrong rca dome lol Maybe they are having a flag football game afterwards.
  5. Brickhouse was a piece of trash. I hate that name and everything associated with it.
  6. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 02:48 AM) True. I meant from this point on. If we want homecourt in the playoffs we're gonna have to dig deep. It also wouldn't hurt if Ben Gordon decided to shoot over 25% in atleast one game this month. Agreed. He has been struggling lately. I really think we will be able to make it through the rest of the schedule and maintain 4th seed. Hopefully Benny boy starts improving his shot%. That along with Tyson and Noch and I think we are fine. I just wish we had Curry back as well.
  7. I got nervous. Agreed with Qwerty.
  8. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 02:37 AM) Ugly loss. We're gonna have to dig deep if we want homecourt in the playoffs. What the hell is wrong with Ben Gordon? He's picked the wrong time to go back to November Gordon. Dig all you want. You aren't going to do much with Noch and Tyson out of the game. They made a pretty good effort considering the circumstances.
  9. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 02:30 AM) When pike is out there as your power foward you know it is gonna be ugly. Davis also continues to not impress me with his retarded choices he makes out there. Agreed, I wish his contract expired this year
  10. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 02:04 AM) He attempted to though and with the whole Detroit thing, the league basically has a zero tolerance policy for that stuff. Look at Noc's suspension. He barely touched him and the refs didn't even call a foul on him. Hell Tayshaun flopped and it was very clear. Reminded me of the old Ali fight and the "shadow punch".
  11. Tough game and they fought hard. But, you can't really expect them to win with Tyson gone most of the game as well as Noch out on an already undermanned team.
  12. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) Teach Rowand how to play 3rd. Could probably handle it better that Joseph Crede lately.
  13. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 10:33 PM) I've stretched mine a few times, but it never felt like anything That's what she said
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:42 PM) It happened I think. What should happen is NFL games are fine on Sunday but move the college games to Dec 31st. The college level would be stupid to have all the bowl games on Monday January 2nd cause people wouldn't be off from work. Do it on Saturday Dec 31st. That would make both days absoutely awesome. Saturday you have all these college games, plus two NFL games at night. Then on Sunday you have an assload of nfl games and then at night you get one of the BCS games. Good idea. I would love to see that. Whether these boneheads figure that out is another thing.
  15. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) I was sitting here watching the Cardinals-Reds game and the Reds were up 6-5 in the ninth there were men on second and third with one out and with first base open they int walked Larry Walker to load the bases for Albert Pujols and guess what he did hit into a frickin Doulbe play. Atleast he is upholding his stretch of games of not striking out since the season started, right?
  16. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 05:49 PM) Do I find winning boring? No. Do I find winning every single game and not having fun boring, yes. Thats just me though, I dont wanna be 162 - 0, ide rather be like 92 - 70 and fighting my way into the playoffs I want my video games to be realistic, I would like to go out there one game and just get blasted.. it makes it more life like and fun for me.. On NCAA football I did a Texas Tech dynasty and OU beat me 65 - 24... it was one of the more fun games I have played in a while Ouch, 65-24? How many yards did Peterson get against you?
  17. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) Here's to hoping Buehrle gets to 100 wins within the next two years... I think that is well within the realm of possibility. He averages like 16 wins a year and he needs 30 between this season and next. It is certainly doable.
  18. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) He's still good, just not great. I'd take him on the Southside, that's for sure. There's always room for a guy with a career 117 ERA+, just not at the ten million he's making (didn't he sign a three year, $32 million contract a year or two back, or am I nuts? Well, you are nuts but that is beside the point. I think you are right on the contract numbers though.
  19. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) Vin scully bores me? Are you asking us if he bores you?
  20. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) I bet Wood has had a lot lees run support, so he has less wins but a lower ERA. To me, ERA is the thing I look at. It's neck and neck, in the long run, Mark will prove to be better, he will outlast Wood. Mark also pitches in the A.L. where ERA always tends to be higher.
  21. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) That does have a little something to do with the amount of wins each has. Also note that Buehrle has never been on a team that finished below .500, while Wood has pitched on 2 teams that have not won 70 games. Wood has also been on teams that have won 88, 88, 89, and 90 games, while Buehrle has never been on a team that has won more then 86(unless you count 2000, and I don't even though he did pitch for the team...he started only 3 games the entire year for the Sox) So that kind of evens out. Buehrle has been the better pitcher over his career, and is making way less money. I think that is the key behind this. My favorite stat is the career K/BB's of them... Wood - 2.36 K/BB Buehrle - 2.42 K/BB Given, Buehrle is more of a control pitcher, so he should not walk as many...I just think it is a funny number...the point of a good power pitcher is to use the pitches effeciently when striking people out. Wood has not exactly done that. I was thinking of mentioning that too Wite. The K/BB stat. I looked up some of Wood's walk numbers over a full season and they are pretty ridiculous. That along with his wild pitches and league leading hit batsmen.
  22. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 08:03 PM) Wood just lost his 51st game today. Add that to his stellar career numbers. Yeah, I am hoping Jesus H. Prior has similar success today.
  23. Not sure where the thread is but I can provide you with some stats if you wish. These are all as of the end of last season. Wins-Loss Record: Buehrle- 69-45 Wood- 67-50 (Wood also broke into the league 2 seasons before Buehrle) Complete Games: Buehrle- 15 Wood- 11 Shutouts: Buehrle- 5 Wood- 5 Career ERA: Buehrle- 3.76 Wood- 3.63 Career ERA+ Buehrle- 125 Wood- 117 This is just a short list of stats. If you would like to compare more yourself I have the links for you. http://www.baseball-reference.com/b/buehrma01.shtml - Buehrle http://www.baseball-reference.com/w/woodke02.shtml - Wood
  24. QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 07:07 PM) Dusty the Pitcher Killer leaves him in to throw 113 pitches in a blowout. I guess he's anticipating needing the bullpen in Game Two, when The Glass Messiah makes his grand return. I like that nickname. Glass Messiah has a ring to it.
