  1. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 12:15 AM) Maybe he said it in green? I think everyone deserves a second chance. If he has a clean record, I'd keep him on and trust he doesn't make the same mistake twice. Phrases I heard behind the scenes in an ER Pass the Bible, he's studying for the final . . . Gomer (he's gone, no hope) We wasted clean sheets on a guy whose going to die in a couple minutes? These were all dedicated, caring people who entered a profession to help people and used gallows humor to cope. I know a pediatric oncology nurse who used whatever he could find in the narcotic cabinet. Yeah, that is just the way some people have learned to cope. Life can be a rough trip.
  2. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 05:32 AM) Paxson really wants a big man that can shoot and go inside. I see him being the talk of the summer for the bulls. He can also board and block pretty well which is always nice. Just if we could find a sucker that wants an expiring contract ( davis) we would be in awesome shape. That would be a great summer. Dumping Antonio and picking up Donyell would be solid. Do you think they will be going after any bigger SG types Qwerty?
  3. Pretty interesting that Donyell would want to come back to the Bullies. Is it just me or do we not really have anywhere for him to play?
  4. Well, its nice to see a perfectionist on the staff. I really want to see this guy succeed with us and stay healthy this year. With all the work he is doing I really think he will be a huge part of the rotation this summer.
  5. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 04:59 AM) I leave this as a declaration of intent so no one will be confused. One: sic vis pacem para bellum. The boot-camp sergeant made us recite it like a prayer. Sic vis pacem para bellum. If you want peace, prepare for war. - The Punisher Great quote. I really enjoyed that movie quite a bit. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Army of Darkness: Bruce Campbell as Ash "See this? *This* is my *boom stick*! The 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. *You got that*?"

    QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 04:45 AM) Put me down as a Mayor. I think I would be the lifer or seagull personally.
  7. QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 04:17 AM) What a wonderful first professional away game for me to go to. The Bulls never lost control of this game and further solidified a playoff spot. I was at the Hockey Hall of Fame earlier on today, and then we ate at the Loose Moose and headed over to the Air Canada Centre to watch the Bulls hand it to the Raptors. Aside from a few moments here and there, the entire arena was quiet. I got a chuckle from one guy who sat in front of us who, when i yelled out "Don't mess with Chicago!" replied "The city of Chicago sucks!" Curry could've avoided foul trouble a bit more; however, he was fairly decent on the glass. It was great to see Deng out there even after they flashed his name on the Jumbotron screen as "doubtful" for the game. I wonder what happened to Hinrich that he missed the game, allthough I did see a sound-off interview with him prior to the game on the televisions at Loose Moose. It's gonna be great to see playoff basketball in Chicago this year, as a spot is constantly being further solidified. We might even get the 4th seed if we keep this up. Has anyone else been to the ACC? It seemed like a decent arena, though the sightlines at the edges and the top couple of rows suck (we didn't sit there though). It did feel heavily like a mall inside, like I wasn't even at a basketball game. Never been there but I am glad you got to go to the game and have a good time seeing a Bulls winner Heather. I hope you have a safe trip back and enjoy the rest of the time you are up there
  8. QUOTE(El Piervizdyeguchansodnik @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 02:56 AM) Is anyone else getting sick and tired of the computer catching almost all of your line drives??? I can barely get one out of the infield and screamers that should be extra bases get caught standing up. Is there a solution anywhere??? You could also get some sliders that changes the game around a little but will make it more realistic.
  9. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 03:56 AM) Minus the roids. Or rum bottle.
  10. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 03:47 AM) I would be elated if I were them. Losing Borowski is addition by subtraction. Agreed. I don't think Borowski could help that sorry pen at all.
  11. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 03:42 AM) It would make some sense with Bonds potentially missing most of the season, according to his own words. Not that there's a chance in hell that Borchard could come close to Bonds' production but they could still use a power-hitting outfielder. Right now they are planning to go with Pedro Feliz in LF and Moises Alou in RF. They could put Borchard in RF and move Alou back to the position he should be playing, LF. Alou has absolutely NO business playing that RF. I agree. Alou in RF is a big problem waiting to happen.
  12. QUOTE(ptatc @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 03:36 AM) I don't know if anyone else talked about this but in baseball weekly it said that the Giants had a lot of interest in Borchard. It's probably increased with the current Bonds scenario. Maybe Jesse Foppert? (I know, wishful thinking) Is Foppert actually healthy now? I know he has had some troubles with health issues in the past and I think he was shut down for a part of last year.
  13. Didn't really appear to be a purpose pitch.
  14. Bad idea Carlos. I don't think they would let him get anywhere near Damaso.
  15. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 10:21 PM) If Borchie could hit .260 AVG / .330 OBP with good power numbers in the majors I would cream in my pants. I think Joe would cream himself too if that happened.
  16. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 10:17 PM) Vizcaino strikes out clark on a back door breaking ball for the second out of the inning and for the third out ( missed who it was) a deep fly ball to the warning track in center. Was that Bill Hall? I wasn't paying a ton of attention.
  17. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 09:52 PM) 11 K's, 0 BB in 15 games. Who's stats are those, some over-hyped Cubs pitching prospect? f*** no! They're Korey Patterson's. He must have learned his plate discipline from Sammy
  18. Nice radar gun. Viz jus threw a 110mph slider.
  19. QUOTE(Tmar28 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 09:24 PM) i remember last year you could always strike him out with a fastball at the shoulders or eyes. he must have added this low strikeout to his arsenal
  20. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 08:28 PM) Ozuna, a 30 year old career minor leaguer, is outplaying Willie's sorry ass. That's pretty sad. Add in the fact that Ozuna can play more positions than Willie, Willie should not make our roster. Agreed.
  21. Hermy has good taste in cars I see. Love the Chevelle
  22. He shot like Gordon Bombay in his younger days with the Hawks. Quack! Quack! Quack!
