    QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 12, 2005 -> 05:38 PM) Pitiful......go share with someone else....jeez. Yeah, like a psychiatrist
  4. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 12, 2005 -> 04:52 AM) If they are intangible, how can they get a grade.. let alone an average grade? "Well.. I don't know quite what it is, but, whatever it is, it's average." Exactly, how do you grade something that isn't tangiable?
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) Yes you would. Ever since that trade, people have been holding on to Jeremy reed's nuts for dear life. That is just so wrong.
  6. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) By the time 2005 comes to a close in the case of the young guys like Palmer, Carr, Roethlisberger, Brees, etc. I'm not rating guys going into 2005. Pennington's career QB rating is 94. Michael Vick? .700 career winning percentage with not much of a supporting cast? Easily the best rushing QB in NFL history? Led his team to the NFC Championship game with a below average to average OL, not a single pro bowl caliber receiver, an average defense at best, and a rookie coach? You wanna see an absolute nightmare of season? Put Favre in Atlanta. It's the difference between going 6-10 and going to the NFC Championship game. Yeah, you're right. 36 year old Favre owns him, or pwns him, or whatever. You sure are giving Vick a lot of credit considering he has started only 36 games in his career. As for Pennington, I am not even going to get into that.
  7. From what I remember I think Nelson became a minor league FA.
  8. Good article. The management seems really high on Josh. I would love for him to put up a monster year this year.
  9. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 03:25 AM) I'd say he's right on the border of the top 10 QB's, could go either way. Name 10 QB's that are better and do more for their team then.
  10. QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 02:44 AM) I see a big difference between 90's favre and favre now. The pack should think about rebuilding. They are not going to win anything with him. He is a middle of the pack qb in the league right now. Hes getting older and I really dont think he's worth 10 million dollars. Give craig nall a shot. They will rebuild when its too late and be the packers of the 80's again. Detroit will have a better record than GB this year and Favre will retire a loser. This is ahman greens team now. They are re-loading if not rebuilding right now. They have dumped their starting safety, cut Hawthorne, not re-signed either guard, and made a plethora of other moves. I really don't think they will "wait too long" to rebuild their team. They are in a transition process to clear up cap space and build more through the draft while getting rid of the big contracts. Ted Thompson knows what he is doing and is making some good moves. That includes acquiring Jim Bates and the D-Coordinater. With the parity in the NFL along with the more than capable front office and coaching staff (not so sure about Sherman), if the Pack fade and need to rebuild it will not be like the "Packers of the 80's". That is a completely different era and completely different NFL than exists today. It is also a completely different situation in Green Bay than it was 25-30 years ago.
  11. QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 01:14 AM) i read on espn he is meeting with vikings officials friday...this sucks he was my favorite player I agree. I liked the guy a lot and I will miss him and it is too bad that he is meeting with Minnie but that is just how it goes. It is time to move on.
  12. Sharper is gone. Can't say i'm too broken up about it. I liked the guy a lot but he has had a pretty poor past few seasons and never really developed into the leader of the secondary they hoped for when LeRoy Butler retired. His performance didn't warrant his pricetag. I wish him a lot of luck and hope he can turn it around and stay healthy for another team.
  13. QUOTE(UofIChiSox @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 12:54 AM) He'll never pitch in the majors if he can't learn to zip up his fly. Great pic!
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 12:42 AM) This should get good, gonna grab some popcorn. I'm not going to bother responding to what Rangercal said. Favre's stats speak for themself last season. If just saying the guy sucks with nothing to back it up there is no point in trying to have a discussion with the guy.
  15. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 11:51 PM) Who exactly will they be placing at guard, since it's so easy to replace. Flanny might get a shot if they move him over from Center and let Wells play Center. There have been talks that they might let Kevin Barry have a shot at the position as well. They have an interview set up with Pork Chop Womack for tomorrow, they re-signed Brad Bedell and he will be given a shot as well. It is also no secret that the Pack will use at least one draft pick on the Guard position. I can't predict the future either as UFA's and roster cuts go later in the spring and summer. They have plenty of options and I have no doubt that Thompson will do everything in his power to cover the position more than adequately. It isn't all about the big names when it comes to the O-line. Can you name the starting O-Line of the Pat's for the past Superbowl off the top of your head? Thompson is a Ron Wolf protege. They have a system of rating positional importance. You guessed it, Guard is right at the bottom of the list. Just browse over the draft selections from the past few years. The Guards drafted that are starters are usually at the bottom of the heap.
  16. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 11:02 PM) Good I can't wait until Ogu, AB, and Tommie get some good licks on him with there terrible OLine without Wahle and Rivera. Terrible O-Line? They were one of the Top lines last year and that was without Mike Flannagan for nearly all of the season. They still have Tauscher there and Clifton to protect Favre's blindside. Flanny will come back and I assume he will either play Center or be shifted to Guard. It isn't like they are losing a tackle or something like that. Rivera is 32 and 33 when the season starts I believe. The guy has two extremely bad knees and will not last for the full length of his contract on the turf in Dallas. I can guarantee that. With Wahle, yes he was a great Guard but he can be replaced. And I have read a lot of things saying he is a versatile lineman. Well, they tested him at Tackle and he fell flat on his face. I love the guy as much as anyone but I would not pay him Tackle money to stay in GB and play Guard. Guards are a lot easier to replace than Tackles and the Pack did the smart thing and locked both of their Tackles up for a few more years. With Wells, a possible free agent and a draft pick plus the depth they already have on the line I am not too worried at all. They were easily a top 3 line last year and I don't think they will lose a lot of ground this year. They will be in the top 10 once again i'm sure.
  17. Hahahah. Completely hilarious...wow.
  18. QUOTE(silver and black @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 06:55 AM) unless of course, you stumble upon a indian reserve...then you could get easily away... BUT OF COURSE, GAMBLING IS WRONG!!! NEVER DO IT!!! Unless you are in Vegas and getting free drinks as long as you are gambling
  19. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 05:40 AM) The Blazers won the FG% battle, the rebounding battle, the turnovers forced battle, and they smoked us in FT% (82% TO 65%). Our center had 1 defensive rebound in 32 minutes. And yet, somehow, we manage to win by 13 in their building. I can't complain. It baffles me but I still love it. Win is a win as you said
  20. QUOTE(quickman @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 04:48 AM) Those two for Rob , I will take in a minute. Mackowiak, is a real gritty player who plays every pitch of every inning. I would love it. I will remian consistant that Harris will be gone by the end of spring training. Same here Quick. I would really like that deal.
  21. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 03:31 AM) And we have a Frankie Williams sighting. :puke
  22. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 02:53 AM) I think it's hot when girls love sports. That's why everyone loves Heather
