Just saw this article on Robb Nen. Looks like that rotator cuff is pretty bad and it is doubtful he will ever pitch again. I feel bad for the guy, too bad he couldn't make a comeback. I know some of the people around here were interested in giving him a minor league deal if he was healthy. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb...s_mlb&fext=.jsp

QUOTE(YoungstownIndians @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 08:09 PM) Crisp, Belliard, Broussard, Martinez, Hafner, Blake, Gonzalez, Boone, and Peralta {AAA MVP} Crede was an MVP in the minors too. That doens't always guarantee there will be instant success. We have seen how Joe has struggled. I wouldn't bank on Peralta being the next big thing for your team.

Or ERA for that matter...

Nice work guys. They all look really nice.

Speaking of national media stuff I was wondering if anyone watched the "Fantasy 411" show on mlb.com? I hate to rip on these guys because I know it doesn't really matter but I have to wonder how these people have a job when they seem so clueless. They were discussing the starting rotation and they completely skipped over Garcia. They didn't even mention his name. I love their fantasy analysis. Wow.

QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 04:49 AM) Yes, he plays all three IF positions, 2B, SS, 3B and is a switch hitter. Does very well against left handed pitching. He is a young guy so I'm not so sure the D-Backs are that anxious to move him but they are deep in the infield and not deep in the bullpen. It is interesting to note the Sox and D-Backs train together so they know each others personnel very well. I agree it's doubtful the D-Backs have any interest in Willie Harris, only because they're already deep in 2B guys. As for Harris's ability to play CF ... now that they have Cruz Jr. I don't see a fit there. One thing is certain, I can see the White Sox definitely being interested in a player like Cintron, but many other teams would be as well. Thanks for the info Jim, I couldn't remember if he played all 3 positions or not.

QUOTE(Beastly @ Feb 19, 2005 -> 05:10 AM) Shouldn't you be in bed with the wife? Good, I thought we'd see a better player for him.

Cintron can play SS and 2B that I know of and he is a switch hitter. I believe he hits lefties better than righties as well. Not sure about if he has played Third.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 14, 2005 -> 12:39 AM) They wont have Iguchi even if he signed 6 months ago. If he has never played a game of Major Leauge Baseball, he can't be in the game. Thats why they don't have real minor leaugers in the game.........They have to play 1 game of pro ball to be in the game. Then why did they put Kaz Matsui in it last year? For fun?

Just remember Juggs, there are different types of steroids. Anabolic and metabolic I believe. I took one kind of common medical steroid called Prednisone when I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease back in 1995. Just saying that the steroids you are talking about may not be exactly the same.

Only thing I know is that a guy his size would not get drunk off a 6 pack. I don't think he is that much of a lightweight. -

92-70. First place. Garcia and Rowand with All-Star appearances. That's all I got for now -
QUOTE(Heather Lee @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 07:28 AM) Oh yea! My first two pre-set buttons in my car are set to 94.7 The Zone and Q101. I listen to the Zone's morning show while driving to work every morning. They actually play MUSIC, which is much more than we can say about nearly every other radio station out there that's worth listening to. Bogan's been treating me rather well this year. I couldn't ask for much better. Great to hear about school. At home I listen to 97.9, 101.1, 95.9, 95.1, 97.1 and i think 96.7. How is your place and everything? I hope its working out well. I can't wait for the summer to get to some games. I hope I get to see your place and we can go to some games
