If you want to know what it is like over there then ask some of the troops that have been over there recently. I had a few guys in one of my classes that had recently come back from Iraq and what they said was much different than other people say. There is always a certain degree of bias in anything you read or hear. You have to read from both sides of the bias and take the middle ground of those two to be as close to truth as it is going to get. None of us here at home who haven't been to Iraq know what the people there think or feel, we merely have to listen and dissect what we hear as best we can.

Yeah, I haven't had a chance to check those splits either. That is an important thing to analyze when comparing the three. I will have to check that out.

They are all pretty much equal if anything.

How about grammar mistakes instead?

Koch is no longer the closer...please

It is ok right now in my book -
#1 Starter is the guy that is at the top of a rotation. An ace is a guy that goes out there every game and has a chance to dominate and completely shut another team down. He will take the team on his back and carry them. That is the difference between an Ace and a #1. Guys like Pedro in his prime, Unit in his Prime, Halladay, Hudson, Rocket....Those guys are aces.

Nevermind, went to ESPN.com and got my own answer. Sorry

Is it true this game is on ESPN tonight? My friend just told me that, I wanted to verify.

What about the mom from All in the Family? Edith I think it was?

After reading The Communist Manifesto and The Marx & Engles Reader I have a bit of a new appreciation for what he believed and thought. He had some odd and interesting ideas. BTW 1549, the reason the USSR failed, atleast in a Marxist way was because Marx felt it would take a worldwide revolution to succeed. Not just one country like Russia. I kinda think you are right about it only working on an island, unless everyone was put in a situation like Russia. But hey, that's just my 2 cents

Hey, if you posted it maybe you put a hex on him like the game thread and he will just decide to retire tomorrow

Koch is no longer the closer...please
SoxFanForever replied to Ozzietheairedale's topic in Pale Hose Talk
And if you quoted me right you would notice that I never said Koch was even close to Thigpen -
Yeah, I had the same problem as you guys. I was trying to watch the gamecast because I couldn't watch the game (one final and it isn't until thursday). It really pissed me off, just glad I was able to get on a little after the game and see what had happened as well as figure how I am getting home. Thanks ISU :puke

SoxFanForever replied to Ozzietheairedale's topic in Pale Hose Talk
No good closer walks the bases loaded ever or has a lot of men on base? I guess you never saw Bobby Thigpen.....you know, the guy with the season save record? I am not a Koch backer by any means but some of the greatest closers walked a fine line between getting the save and blowing it. That is just how it goes sometimes. -
BTW nice work on the analysis Jug. I really enjoyed it.
