  3. What system are you playing Black Ops on? I got it for PC right when it launched and ran into nothing but crashing issues nearly every game. I've heard they have fixed some issues since then but I still have my doubts.
  4. Friday Schedule: 1:00 p.m. - Sox Youngsters Hitting clinic presented by Bulls/Sox Academy 2:00 p.m. - Q&A with Rick Renteria 2:45 p.m. - Surprise introduction of Manny Machado 3:00 p.m. - Ice Cream Social
  5. I loved the demo! Reviews all seem glowing too. Can't wait to try it out as well.
  6. Any recommendations on sports related podcasts?
  7. The updates to the thread title almost make this slog worth it.
  8. I think that makes sense in that it would only really help someone negotiating with Harper to show that the price of the other coveted FA comp in his class is getting offered much less than he's looking for.
  9. I think that's fair to say that a lot of it is unknown right now. But, if we hit on even a quarter of these guys I think it has to be considered a success. I guess it just seems a bit early to me to call the rebuild a disappointment when there was a bit of bad injury luck and a lot of these guys were getting their first significant taste at the MLB level.
  10. I believe the Jays were expected to cut payroll significantly. There is an article here https://www.thestar.com/sports/bluejays/opinion/2018/09/11/blue-jays-headed-for-dramatic-payroll-cut.html Also, I believe earlier in the year someone posted an article about Mark Shapiro and his history with other teams of slashing payroll. I don't expect them to be adding a $200+ million dollar contract.
  11. The rebuild isn't going well? If your expectation was for all of these guys to catch fire right out of the gate and be called up in 2018 maybe. Lopez had a very solid first season and looks to already be a mid-rotation starter. Moncada, in what is considered a bad first full year still hit 17 HR, had 55 XBH and played solid defense. Eloy has raked in every level so far and looks to be no later than mid-April. Cease looked excellent, especially after his promotion to AA and looks to be on the same trajectory as Kopech was in 2018. Dunning - similar story to Cease. Kopech looked like he belonged in the MLB prior to his injury and hopefully will bounce back to be excellent when he returns. This is without even talking about guys like Basabe, Robert, Madrigal, etc. who are probably 2 years away. To call the rebuild disappointing this early on is pretty ridiculous.
  12. Supposedly the Cards did inquire but the price was too high. That is assuming any rumors we have heard so far are actually accurate.
  13. I really don't get how he was 8th in MVP votes that year. His numbers were just pure insanity. Better than everyone above him.
  14. I listened live yesterday during my commute by sheer luck. It sounded an awful lot to me like Bruce was fabricating/faking his info to some extent. He sounded confused about half of the stuff and when Parkins called him out on some of the details he stumbled and didn't really have any answer. The whole thing made him look really bad IMO.
  15. Seemed like he was more mad at Bob/Buster for fabricating stories in a dry FA period than anything. It doesn't seem like he is calling the Sox out really.
  16. The "....mother******* bi****** passionless Sox" may rise once again.
  17. Bulls are currently down 99-66 with over 6 minutes left in the 3rd. Complete bloodbath.
  18. Why do you care about Jerry's wallet? They have been saving money tanking the past few seasons, have a sweetheart stadium deal and just signed a new TV contract. A few million for Jon Jay is not going to financially cripple the team or prevent them from doing anything they want to do in the future.
