  1. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 06:31 PM) Didnt think it would be worse than last year? I miss Tauscher. Seriously, the days of Wahle, Clifton, Tausch, Rivera and Co.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 03:28 PM) Yeah I understand that. Dana sees the cash cow, and he wants to maximize Exactly. A fatter version of Tank Abbott isn't too appealing to fans.
  3. QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 05:26 PM) Actually I didn't see any non-Bears fans discouraging posts from other fans, Poster A took issue with the fact that his team was being slighted, Poster B wrote later that this is the "NFL" thread and Poster C wrote that it was still composed primarily of Bears fans so obviously you're going to see more Bears talk than anything else. I think Chw is just a little frustrated with Mex. I know that Mex and I have had a difference of opinions in the past as he can be a little vocal with his opinions Can't always expect a board with a majority of Bears fans to respect/cheer for the Pack. Only thing we can really do is have our team prove him wrong during the season (and hope to god our O Line stops blowing).
  4. The team listed for 2009 in the bottom right corner is the funniest part of it for me.
  5. Players have bad seasons. See Paul Konerko 2003. He followed that terrible year by hitting 35+ HR 3 years straight.
  6. QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Sep 29, 2009 -> 03:35 PM) I cant believe the hawks lost. w t f It doesn't count. Who cares?
  7. Probably the strongest start to a season of Heroes since S1. Some interesting story lines developing. Hopefully it doesn't get muddled up and lame.
  8. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 20, 2009 -> 11:22 PM) 2 teams from the same division can't make the playoffs? When did they change that? No more wildcard!!!
  9. QUOTE (kev211 @ Sep 20, 2009 -> 08:20 PM) This is great all around. Cutler and the Ref's face Haha, Cutler looks trashed.
  10. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Sep 20, 2009 -> 03:12 PM) After watching CroCop last night, I'm no longer interested in seeing him fight. Dos Santos does look like he has it going & I'd give him the winner of Cain/Rothwell, maybe even Kongo/Mir. Griffin looked good, I'd like to see him in there against Diaz. Oh, Daley and his left hook made a brand new fan outta me. Real question is do you give him another top 10 guy at 170? Or do you give him a fight to kinda show what else he's got. From the sounds of things I've been hearing, Mirko is all but done. I don't think he has the desire to fight anymore. I can't say as I blame him. He is 35 years old and this is a young mans sport. Between amateur boxing, kickboxing in K-1, Pride and UFC the guy has accumulated over 100 fights. I think is body is just worn down at this point. Watching fights from his early days in Pride in his 20's to his fights now is like watching two completely different fighters. It's a sad day for me because he is basically the guy who made me a fan of MMA to begin with. I remember watching his Pride fights online and loving all the K-1 videos as well. It really is a shame to see. I'd just like to see some up and comer take out Brock. I was hoping it would be Mirko but that doesn't seem like it is going to happen.
  11. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 20, 2009 -> 03:03 PM) i was so impressed with the bears D line and the pass rush last week....now im thinking it was more just the packers Oline being horrendous With Clifton going down and Barbre already being terrible they are going to have a lot of problems on the O-Line this year. This is also coming from a Pack fan.
  12. Is Bobby already washed up? He is reminding me of Kenny Powers lately.
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 08:25 PM) UFC fight night and than the ultimate fighter going on tonight, should be interesting with Kimbo.
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 04:12 PM) I've never understood the Tirico love myself. I posted it on Sunday night. I really like Collinsworth on the night game. Yeah, the Michaels/Collinsworth combo is MUCH better than the MNF crews. Tirico sounds like he has the exact same reaction no matter what is happening on the field. Not a fan at all.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 08:17 AM) I have to say I was mildly impressed with Chucky in the booth. He was relaxed and didnt play up the growling persona that everyone places on him. Jaws was pissing me off because he kept telling Chucky he was wrong very blatantly. Jaws needs to spend less time slobbin on average players and just watch the game.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 07:20 PM) R.I.P. Patrick Swayze Damn. I might have to go watch Roadhouse now.
  17. Go watch Mauricio Rua train if you are in Curitiba and into MMA
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 05:58 PM) So a day after, I'm actually encouraged as a Bears fan. They lost the TO battle 4-0, wasted 2 challenges on obvious calls, had an idiotic direct snap by the ever reliable Patrick Mannelly, their $15m new LG Frank Omiyale looked terrible, Olsen and Forte had a combined 1 catch, Tinosamoa and Urlacher missed practically the whole game, and they lost by 6 points on a TD with 1:10 left + a 2 point conversion. If it takes all that to beat the Bears by 6 in a tough place to play like Green Bay, I still think the Bears can win 10 games. Why didn't the Bears work more short and intermediate passes to Olsen and Forte last night? That really surprised me.
  19. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 10:53 PM) lol, we absolutely dominated the bears offense. we ain't s***? tell me that at the end of the season. Don't bother. His awful posts aren't worth responding to. I agree with you. Packers D looks light years ahead of where it was last year. We know the O will improve and hopefully we can get Tausch or someone to fill in because Barbre is pretty terrible. What a game.
  20. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 10:02 PM) great, looking at a 50 yard penalty right there. Not so fast my friend
  21. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 09:43 PM) Broke through a double team like it wasn't s***. I think Cullen has surpassed his brother as far as production.
