  1. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Mar 21, 2009 -> 01:01 PM) Oh, am I hurting your feelings with your Brian Campbell man crush? No, I think it just gets old. We know how you feel about Campbell. We don't need a post about it every time he does something wrong in a game. I'm by no means a Campbell fan but that doesn't mean I feel the need to come here and post about how worthless he is after every bad game he has. Not taking a dig at you Krush. Just saying that when a team is struggling it's extremely aggravating to read people's rants like that.
  2. This thread was a fantastic idea. I'm really glad I get to see some of the old names. I kinda miss BrandoFan and all the arguments he would start though
  3. Mine hurt when I had 6 inches of my small intestine removed only because there was infection and they had to re-open the wound
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 16, 2009 -> 02:01 PM) Let there be no doubt why Rodriguez chose Houston. Catchers 59 Lou Palmisano 55 Humberto Quintero 46 J.R. Towles What about Miguel "B12" Tejada?
  5. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 08:08 AM) Campbell reminds me of Brian Berard... he is a defenseman in name only. Except for the fact that Berard is a -98 for his career.
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 11:41 AM) Just saw on SC that Cutler has put 1 of his 2 Denver homes up for sale. The economy is really hitting him hard.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Mar 8, 2009 -> 08:17 PM) Jason Schmidt?
  8. My brother-in-law is my mechanic and will do most of the work at my house or his shop. Saves me a lot of time and hassle.
  9. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Mar 6, 2009 -> 01:32 PM) Good luck naming 10 receivers. Andre Johnson Larry Fitzgerald Brandon Marshall Greg Jennings Anquan Boldin Reggie Wayne Steve Smith Randy Moss Roddy White Hines Ward Marques Colston Chad Jonson (I'll chalk up last year as an aberration) Donald Driver Torry Holt Calvin Johnson
  10. I just got back from Cancun last night. I was not kidnapped. murdered or held hostage during my trip. Although I did see some pretty sweet assault rifles on the Mexican Police near the airport.
  11. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Feb 21, 2009 -> 06:09 PM) Sean Penn. He's a great actor and State of Grace is one of my all time favorites (largely because of the great Gary Oldman but Penn too) but I just can't stomach him. I know it sounds real juvenile but I think it's his face. It's kind of like Depp in Donnie Brasco where he just looked too damn young for the role even if he was 34 at the time or DeCaprio in The Departed, a lot people just can't take him seriously as a toughguy, that's how I am with Penn. For whatever reason I just can't take him seriously and given the nature of the vast majority of his roles that's a serious issue. I'll always think of him as Jeff Spicoli no matter what character he is trying to portray.
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 17, 2009 -> 11:51 AM) f***ing Heroes, give me some damn direction!!!!! Seriously, the show is all over the place right now. HRG getting kicked out of his house saying he is going to try and get better and then getting kidnapped by the hero posse. Sylar rescuing the little pain in the butt kid. Lots of other stuff. What's your take Rock?
  13. Packers signed Dom Capers as their new DC and will be moving to a 3-4 next season.
  14. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 08:20 PM) Thank you. I'm not alone. I've never understood what people see in him. Yet you like Bob Dylan?
  15. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jan 28, 2009 -> 10:09 PM) nice to see kane and toews both get on the board so far tonight...especially kane, broke that 12 game scoreless drought Beautiful setup by Sharpy and Keith as well.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jan 28, 2009 -> 06:53 PM) I'm not familiar with the Wings' cap space, but Franzen and Hossa are both FA's after the year. If they can only afford one, which one do they choose? Hossa will probably make over $8 a year in FA. I'm sure they will hold on to Franzen for below market value ala Zetterberg and Datsyuk.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jan 28, 2009 -> 03:28 PM) Zetterberg gets a 12 year-76 million dollar extension. Pretty crazy on the years but cheap on the money. Probably a good deal for Detroit minus any injuries.
  18. Hockey fights are usually a snooze unless Probert is involved.
  19. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 04:11 PM) Wow, shut the f*** up. I don't think he was trying to be a dick and mock you. I'm pretty sure it was a legitimate question about what you think of the game

  21. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Jan 24, 2009 -> 12:44 PM) Again, since when have any of these considered to be popular? This is not just about things you hate. /thread nazi Oops! haha I guess girl pants are the only ones that really work for this.
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 25, 2009 -> 09:15 AM) The most recent article on Wigginton has him interested in the Phillies and vice-versa. Not sure about bringing an NL player over to the AL either, at his age...but, beyond that, we have Beckham and/or Viciedo projected at that position, along with Fields. Now if Wigginton was clearly the better option than a healthy Josh Fields, then I would agree....that he wouldn't be a bad insurance policy to have. OTOH, the days of spending that type of money ($3.5-5 million) on a Uribe or Wigginton are long gone, I'm afraid. At least for the next 2-3 seasons. He played in the AL in '06 and a lot of '07 and put up nice numbers. He isn't an NL only player.
