I'm in. -
Watched the grindhouse movies this weekend. Enjoyed Planet Terror quite a bit. Deathproof on the other hand, I got bored and shut off.

QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Oct 11, 2008 -> 03:43 PM) Yes, has anyone heard anything? Going to see Body of Lies tonight, looks pretty good. Anyone see that yet? I saw Body of Lies Friday and enjoyed it. It wasn't the best but it was entertaining none the less. What did you think?

QUOTE (shipps @ Oct 12, 2008 -> 02:13 PM) Yeah well then I seen it right,a defender who wasnt doing a good job at defending.lol So is that like Hockeys equivelant to an outfielder that sucks on D but makes up for it with the bat? That's a pretty good analogy. He isn't like the equivalent of Manny Ramierz bad on D but he could certainly step up his game in that regard. -

QUOTE (shipps @ Oct 12, 2008 -> 12:59 PM) That is a guy I was really expecting to stand out ,maybe I cant evaluate performance in hockey cause I havent watched it that much but he had less than stellar performance from what I seen in the first two. There were some analysts that were saying he is the best hockey player on the ice for the Hawks through practice and the pre season. At best, he is an average defender for a defensemen. He can throw the occasional big hit and make some decent plays. However, his real gift is on offense. That is where he has looked pretty good so far. -

QUOTE (shipps @ Oct 12, 2008 -> 09:27 AM) This year I have been determined to watch the Blackhawks religiously.Never in my life did I really get into hockey but last year I watched a little bit and found the young Hawks team interesting and fun to watch, but never had felt angry or on edge while watching like I do with the other Chicago sports teams. The first two games this year I felt pissed after both two games with them losing and it made me feel like I have become a true Hawks fan that is gonna live and die with this team. For the Hawks guys out there, what are the players that I should keep an eye on besides the obvious ones like Kane and Toews? And who is presumed to be our biggest competition this year? BTW,I know you long time Hawks guys are probably shaking your heads thinking Iam a typical bandwagon fan but I really dont give a s*** I consider myself a true fan none the less. Glad you are joining the fold shipps! Kane and Toews are the obvious ones you will want to follow as they both had great rookie years. You will probably want to keep an eye on these guys: Brian Campbell - Big offseason splash. Great offensive D-man who should really help the powerplay. Pat Sharp - Potted 36 goals in a real breakout last year also playing well on the PK. Many will wonder if he can build on last years success. Dave Bolland - Currently the #3 center getting a chance to prove he belongs on the big club. Showed some promise and played very well in the lower leagues. Brent Seabrook - This should really be the year Seabs comes in to his own (I hope). He is a very solid D-man. D-men usually take a while to develop and he could turn the corner to be a top D in the league this year. I'm sure others will have lists of who else to keep an eye on. -

Ditching Bulin, grabbing a Center and tossing Sharpie back on the wing would do wonders for this team. -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 10:01 PM) Dubinsky is the most underrated young stud in hockey. All the attention goes to guys like Price, Ovechkin, Malkin, Crosby, Kane, Toews, Mike Green, etc., yet Dubinsky is ridiculously good. Huet looked awful tonight. Hopefully it was first game with a new team jitters. To be fair one of the goals was off of a terrible turnover in the Hawks own end. Let's hope they play a little more relaxed tomorrow against the Caps. -

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 9, 2008 -> 12:05 PM) I watched "Midnight Meat Train" on Comcast - On Demand last night. This is a Clive Barker flick that the movie studio messed around with. So now it's free on comcast. Its a about a photographer who attempts to track down a serial killer dubbed the "Subway Butcher" and discovers more than he bargained for under the city streets. Vinine Jones plays the serial killer and is a pretty scary dude. I remember seeing previews for that in theaters but never saw it come out. I'll have to check that out onDemand.

Good to see Detoilet start the season off right -
I have both and enjoy them. Pretty happy I didn't sell the PS3. The Blu Ray alone is worth it.

It's nice that we have a guy who is better suited to wing playing center and one of our D-Men in the A all because Dale doesn't know how to handle the cap and gives nearly 13 million to his goalies. What a moron. -
If that is our starting lineup 2009 I will punch someones puppy.

You aren't going to get a 360 for less than $100. I'd suggest ebay though. A lot on there right now going for 150-175 nearing end of auction.

2 playoff appearances, 2 90+ win seasons and a world series championship in the past 3 years. Kinda hard to complain too much. I think we can really improve our young core over the offseason. Should be fun next year. Thanks for the fun season Sox. -

Cabrera can show up any time for this series. -
Seth, thank you for proving me right. I think Petruzelli faced tougher competition in TUF than he did last night.

You see it a lot more in the city it seems. I was passing through Wicker Park/Bucktown today with a friend and noticed an overabundance of girl pants wearing dudes. I'm just glad I don't feel the need to be hipster. Maybe i'm getting old?

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 4, 2008 -> 03:29 PM) I'm sure I'll be bashed if we have any MMA elitists here, but no one will ever beat Kimbo Slice now that he has the slightest bit of training. There is no beating 250 pounds of pure awesome. Period. Because why? He beat 2 scrubs and a relic from the beginning of the UFC. Now who is he fighting? Another relic. Shamrock hasn't done anything in years. You are right, he will not lose. It isn't because of his awesomeness. It is because EliteXC will keep feeding him cans since they are afraid he will lose and he is a big draw for them. Seriously, his fight against Cantrell looked like a work. Cantrell tapped to punches in like 3 seconds. Abbott has been washed up for a decade and Thompson who isn't even very good pretty much took him the distance. I guarantee you that if you put him up against even a top 15-20 HW he will get taken apart ala Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir. Not being an MMA elitist here, just a realist. The only chance I see Shamrock having is if he takes it to the ground like he used to when he was in his prime. Otherwise he will suffer another KO.

So where do we get them??
