  1. QUOTE (Swishin' Aint Easy @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 02:32 PM) So last night, I wanted to watch the Sox game and it was blacked out on ESPN2. I am in Greencastle, Indiana which isn't even close to Chicago. About 4 hours away. I just looked at the Tv Guide for tonight for TBS and the game isn't listed. If I miss the game again I am going to be pissed! Where can I find the game online for free(if needed)? The actual paper TV guide or online? Either way, it may not be up-to-date.
  2. I hope you didn't share this story with him!
  3. This thread title is f***ing fantastic. I spit up a pretzel.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 01:08 PM) Horray for purchasing "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" tomorrow! And Ironman!
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 12:08 PM) I WANT TIME, TELL ME WHAT TIME! I SWALLOW CROWD!
  6. QUOTE (IrishSoxFan @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 05:32 PM) What the hell happened to Green Bay? Do they miss Favre THAT much? I thought they would have rolled the Bucs... They have been having a lot of trouble stopping the run. Also, Grant hasn't been the same guy he was last season. The O-Line isn't doing Rodgers any favors either recently.
  7. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 11:33 AM) yessir Ok, thought so. I remember seeing that one in theaters. I think that makes me old.
  8. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 10:29 AM) Apparently it is the same as "Unlawful Entry" with Kurt Russell Was that the one where Ray Liotta was the cop?
  9. QUOTE (almagest @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 11:18 PM) Yeah, that's the conclusion we came to as well, after a lot of research. We'll probably take it, as long as it's still available. Urban Domain is the agency. They have a couple listings in the West Loop/Bucktown/Wicker Park area. Check 'em out -- should just be http://www.urbandomain.com Much appreciated. Definitely going to check out their site. Also, let us know if/when you do move in. I'd love to see what the place looks like.
  10. Has Thome's option vested? Where is Kalapse when I need him?
  11. QUOTE (almagest @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 02:46 PM) 1740 Maplewood is the address. Nearest major intersection is Western & North Ave. About 3-4 blocks from the Western Blue Line stop. Almagest, I don't think that is too bad an area. You are pretty much in Bucktown/Wicker Park there. The area of Humboldt that you really want to avoid is west of Kedzie. Used to be anything west of Western. However, that area has been yuppified in recent years and I think you should probably enjoy it. What agent did you meet with? I'm planning to check the area slightly east of you in the upcoming weeks.
  12. Internet speed would depend on the carrier and all that. The Curve (for T-Mobile at least) has wi-fi capabilities which increase internet speeds. You can web browse as well as call over the wi-fi on the T-Mo network. Not with AT&T. None of the current BB's have 3G capability as far as I know. This is something that AT&T is pushing for with the new BB's that are coming out and that is what has caused a major release delay. The new iPhone does have 3G which makes it much faster than standard connections or EDGE. BB has a built in browser that is decent. However, you can always download Opera Mini or a various array of other 3rd party apps for web browsers.
  13. QUOTE (Steff @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 12:08 PM) I'm getting rid of the Treo. I've had tons of trouble with the battery life. So I'm in between the Curve and the IPhone. I don't give diddly squat about music. Mainly texting and email is my thing. Suggestions on one or the other... TIA. Steff The touchscreen keyboard on the iPhone is a pain in the ass. I have the curve and would highly recommend it. Also, like someone above said, there is a new BB coming out fairly soon if you can wait it out a short while.
  14. QUOTE (The Critic @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 07:50 PM) Nice! 2 19 year olds with more balls than half our team!
  15. Javy is a mental midget. I will not miss him at all if he is dealt or whatever after this season. He has been a huge disappointment.
  16. QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 10:22 PM) I make my kids chocolate chip pancakes practically every day. I have to say, they're pretty good. I have a grilling issue. Charcoal grill - pretty much all the meat (steak, burgers, chicken) won't cook all the way through. What am I doing wrong? I've solved the issue somewhat by boiling the chicken.microwaving the steak for a little while before putting the meat on the grill, but I know that's not the proper way to grill. It drives me crazy. Help! Gas is really the way to go.
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 12:52 PM) I thought Sylar accidentally learned of his powers in the first season when he was trying to work on them with Suresh's father. Ive always considered his ability and Peters ability to be the "black and white" or "good and evil" comparison. Peter is basically an empathetic character who can absorb the powers of those he is near. Sylar on the other hand (Gabrielle which is interesting because now you have Peter as in St. Peter, Nathan a prophet who god spoke to during the time of David and Solomon, and Gabrielle who is also supposed to be a messenger of god.), gets his powers through killing.
  18. QUOTE (almagest @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 09:54 PM) My girlfriend found a place she really likes in Rogers Park, near Devon and Ashland. I'm going to see it with her on Saturday. Any opinions on Rogers Park/that part of Rogers Park? I've heard it's not the greatest area. Pretty much everything I've heard about RP is that it isn't a very good neighborhood right now.
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 09:17 PM) Griffey has 4 out of our 5 RBIs this series. Yeah, you better not sit him, haters. Sad that the only runs are being driven in by the "washed up" guy.
  20. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 09:11 PM) You are correct, Sylar looks at brains and figures out how they work and is then able to use the power. I just never really found out how he knew he had the power to begin with. Assuming something related to him and the clocks. I'm really interested to know the story behind Nikki becoming Tracy Strauss. There was a whole episode, in season 1 I think, where he visits his mother and he is fixing clocks and it kinda shows how he figure the whole thing out. It's pretty cool.
